Hahaha... Kirby had me rolling when the reporter asked him his process for like five major processes involving player acquisition, his coaching staff, etc.. "All of them!?!" Lol hahaha 😆 That reporter should know better. Kirby is one of the most detail oriented coaches who is constantly evolving. He refuses to stay stagnant and is constantly searching for outside resources and influences to help define his overall coaching philosophy. Kirby never wants the message to get stale and knows it's all about finding new and different ways to send a cohesive, consistent message. He is always empowering his staff and his personnel, and that is the sign of an excellent leader. It also helps get his message through to the players when you have one cohesive voice and message. Kirby has rebuilt this culture and the standard at UGA. Yes, there will always be some issues that come up, but that's all around the country. These are young men, and a lot of them are getting thrown a significant amount of money at them for the first time. They're receiving attention and a level of popularity they never knew was real except with celebrities. They're receiving party invites, having women thrown at them, etc. There is an ungodly amount of temptation, and teenagers and young adults are going to make mistakes and be forced to learn the hard way. You just have to try and do the best you can to limit it all, and just like he does for his techniques and coaching/teaching philosophies on the field and for in the staff room and lockerroom, Kirby has got to get that part all figured out and soon. I think he has a good policy in place, and I think we've been seeing some of the more harsher punishments get handed down lately. Hopefully, those are solid enough moving forward 🙏 God Bless
We have a terrible habit of not really showing up until second half. Clemson, regardless of their ranking going into game, was not a test or challenge for Georgia. We can’t just wake up, show up, decide you want to win a ball game every second half of every game. We actually have a reputation of being two different teams. I hate like hell not knowing what you’re going to get from week to week. Some of Kirby’s locker room speeches he tells our players, “WE KNOW it’s not going to be pretty or easy”. Why would you start a game with that mindset? It’s almost as if you are saying we understand if you decide to play like crap before you even start the game. These boys and coaches work too damn hard to constantly have their backs against wall when it’s not necessary. Just start the game ready to play so we don’t wind up in a mess. It’s like craming for an exam the night before finals 😫it’s a recipe for disaster. Consistently inconsistent.
Hardest working coach in college football! Them dawgs is hell! Let's get it boys !
