Looked up Mattel, they've been around since January of 1945. So yeah, 80 years. I also looked up Matchbox and Hot Wheels, Matchbox has been around since July 9th of 1953 and Hot Wheels has been around since May 18th of 1968. Matchbox became part of the Mattel family in 1997, so Matchbox is almost 15 years older than Hot Wheels. Learn something new every day(or night), the Diablo is the highlight. Great video as always Phil
Hey Phil nice to come home after work opening my laptop and finding a new video from you. Those cars are all great. I never find anything at my local Wal-Mart .I want that Matchbox Green Bizzarrini . I have a feeling it will show up somewhere.
The original Cop Rods & Fire Rods were exclusive in the US to KB Toys. I seem to recall each series of 2 sets of 6. I have them all put away. I believe they later came out with different series later. There was also a taxi rods series exclusive to Toys R Us in Times Square NYC.
As someone from Alberta, I love your province. I love Montreal, I love rural Quebec, I think it's beautiful and I would consider living there. On the other hand your government does everything they possibly can to make things more difficult for their residents. Giveaways, shipping, limited time offers, sales, Quebec gets left out of everything because the provincial government has stupid rules.
As a fellow Canadian but living in The USA, i love your videos and accent, EH! I want to display all my cars loose like you do. I have over 500 cars that need to come out of their cases! Where did you get your display cases?
Fast and the Furious series has way too many doubles. Mattel needs to get a bit more creative. Great video Phil! That police Camaro at the end was sick! See you on Friday at the meet!
JUST LIKE MOST BIG CORPORATIONS THEY ARE ABOUT CONSUMERISM...THEY WANT US TO BUY MORE THAN WE NEED WHILE THE LANDFILLS INCREASE IN SIZE WORLDWIDE...ITS AN ISSUE I FIND WITH THIS HOBBY
I ended up with 4 of the NFT Camaros. While it's a nice color I would have preferred something that popped more. Perhaps a bit brighter. I think the car loses a bit of its body lines in that color.
Kyosho so far makes the best Diablo. The front wheel fenders on the Matchbox is too large. I have all the diablos (SV, 30th anniversary, stock, SVR and GTR) from Kyosho. Great brand to collect. Not sure why MINI GT or Hotwheels or others have not made the Diablo in 1:64 scale.
When a vehicle appears multiple times (Chevelle, Land Rover), do you still buy it? I don't think any of us mind if you just showed us the car you already have.
Love the Cop Rods Camaro. Very nice looking.😊

Was going to say that Mattel existed 20 years prior to Hot Wheels.
Some. Really. Awesome. Mattel. Stuff. Here
Awesome video Phil! I love that Diablo!
I wanna see a Diablo showcase! How many different Diablo models do you have? Would love to see that collection
The cop rods are a neat series, very worth while to collect
The Vanquish is a great looking car

The F&F primer Chevelle was kind of hard to find the first time it was released. Not so now.
Love the police Camaro

The Mattel company was created 80 years ago in 1945, has nothing to do with diecasts, refers to the Mattel company itself.

I have the kyosho version but it looks to boyish, strange I know but that's my opinion.
The McLaren didn't look right to me I didn't buy it😂✌️👍

The problem is the way I display them is by set so they have to be complete.
