Hot wheels hunting J&K cases everywhere
Very nice cars with amazing details.
Just started collecting here in the Niagara region. Any tips for finding stuff ? Canadian websites or local stores you wouldn't suspect carry Hot Wheels ? I only collect Toyota mainly and everything is so picked over and the scalpers take everything.
510’s are stable, but not fetching feverish pitch like a year or so ago. This NFT is on my short list! There are several high level convention cars I need but otherwise I have most of the 510 wagons.
EMPLOYEE THEFT HERE MIDWEST
Loved the start of your sweet 16
Where are you getting the 16 cars from?...great video as always phil.
Anywhere I can
Move to next car please.
What next car
Where did you get your display from? What’s it called. Looks great.
Carney plastics
THEY BE STEALING
A friend of mine introduced me into this hobby like 2 years ago. He started collecting in the same year. When i saw he bought an impala painted very nice, i was shocked how good looking hw are. In that day i bought an impala too (didnt knew it was a th or sth) and in store were 3 or 4 more. Last week i got my second sth/th. In my country are few scalpers but there are not so many people that are collecting.
I like to free them. Right now i have more than 50 cars exposed on shelfs :))
It’s so sad today. I’m 57 and loved cars since I’ve been a little girl, not much of a collector, here and there until My Grandson was born. He’s 13 now and we thoroughly enjoy the hobby! eBay has ruined the hobby but it’s okay, we still collect what we like.
I agree and disagree at the same time. I's true that people are going crazy about certain types of cars but damn not eveyrbody wants to collect every car there is. I had one year when I was trying to collect all 250 cars and what? I hated it, there was too much of them to even display! Now I only buy my favourite cars like Toyota, Nissan, Porsche and some european super cars. Been much happier collector with collecting only the cars I really do love :)
Only way you will find an 01 or 02 mystery or a treasure hunt is to order direct. All the workers at retail side hustling before these reach the pegs.
Dude can you make high resolution images of your collection? It would maksikn amazing zoom meeting backdrop
I dont do any zoom meetings
@@mtldiecastcafe yes- but for those that do; your collection would be nice nicer than the standard backdrop of a beach or office. Would be grateful for such an image- thanks!
I wish I had Lived there in that pLace near that maLL I do Buy these reguLars Everyday go to maLL to coLLect and SeLL to others at very Low price Look at these reguLar hot wheeLs man and the premium ones I wish I had opportunity to get these hotwheeLs mainLine and premiums 🙁🙁☹☹😞😞😞😞
I've been collecting diecast cars for 22 years. Everything from Johnny Lightning to Muscle Machines. Is there a buyer's guide you would recommend? I've got a 1:18 scale blue 1969 Chevelle SS #88 on doors. Jada Muscle Machines. After searching online for 10 plus years, i can't seem to find another one anywhere. Anybody out there seen one or any idea of the value? I collect, but all of mine are still sealed. Sorry, i don't collect to play with them, nor do I have thousands of dollars to display them. I've likely got in excess of 2,500 cars from mid 80's through 2023.
I have no idea about buyers guides anymore. There used to be a few but not anymore.
@mtldiecastcafe With hundreds of thousands, if not millions of die-cast cars on the market, how do you go about finding one specific car? Any thoughts on my 1:18 Chevelle? 10 plus years of searching online and even to this very day, I have been unable to find it anywhere online. Thanks.
@425superRocket go to diecast shows talk to people you meet in the hobby, that's all you can really do.
As far as people buying up all the cool cars that always happens the replacing of a car that is the wrong car that is theft
Grow men ruin all hobbies for kids these days, it's embarrassing.
Stripes , Atari, and Beetle Bailey were some of the GMC Motorhomes. Pretty neat.
Love certain cars only thanks for leaving cool cars
I just started collecting a couple of months ago. It started with trying to find a truck like mine in a Hotwheel. I saw a Dodge Little Red Wagon pickup and told a friend about it because his grandfather has a real one. I went back for it the next day, and it was gone. I went to about ten different stores looking for over the next couple weeks before I found him one! What I noticed was, there were plenty of Hotwheels leaving these stores daily. No Walmarts here have dump bins like on this video, they just don't last long enough. I also ran into scalpers, and collectors going through the cars often. Had no idea about "Treasure Hunt" cars, etc., when I started. I just want to get a few cars I like, not fight for the $$$ cars, but you won't see those cars on the racks. I'm already finding employees buying them and even saving them for people! On the other hand, I found people going to junkyards buying car parts and doing the same thing...marking them up in $ and selling them online. Greedy! Anyway, happy hunting!
I think its not only applying to hot wheel but in toys in general Im picking sometimes hot wheels like batmobile or cars you see in movies right now Im looking for bumblebee and optimus prime and its impossible to find it was more easier to find luke skywalker landspeeder. Too many scalpers are ruining the hobby.
i think we have to remember what we like and get only what you like, not whats expensive, i dont have any but if i start i might start bying that kaido house stuff idk. And this problem is everywhere, its in videogames, its in lego and whatever else collectibles
This is why i stopped collecting the stuff from the old days is very hard and expensive to buy, top quality the older stuff, just like people, things were made better back then.
That red ford falcon is an australian car!
Everyone only cares about chases and supers.
The duster was my favorite
Some truly beautiful castings Phil, tough to pick one favorite but the haul proves the adage things were better in the good old days lol. Thanks for sharing.
What Walmart is this? No walmart would me has inventory like that….
Laval
100% agree just got back from target and same thing there it's just toys people!!!
Most of the scalpers are the employees😢 and why invest in hotwheels for employees they should be investing in other stuff employees are just sad like that and I agree with your topic nice video ❤
Been collecting for 12 years and I knew what a super was when I was 14 it was just as bad in 2014 as it is today
You are lucky to have that many options. Around me the racks are always empty
dear friend, show at the end of the video what you discovered all together! it will be cool to see them together on video from above!
Im switcing to kaido house
Yes they make the most detailed 1/64 diecast cars in the business and I think that there prices are fair for what you get.
Nice haul! I love that bright green vw drag truck but those real riders are something else. The mystery car find is nice, they're hard to find at a decent price. I found the 06 mystery VW drag bus but im not sure if that year included the exclusive T hunt. Great video tho.
right now they are 40% off!! on RCL site
Now days I am appreciating more on older hotwheels car
I strictly collect Toyota so I guess i break sets.
That's cool, but you don't resell the cars you break sets for.
@@mtldiecastcafe No strictly collect no resale.
You are the GOD of diecast . You have everything. 👍👍👍
I'm from Southwestern Ontario and was very lucky to have found the entire Boulevard set including the Integra and 323 before the scalpers. The next day the pegs only had the ford van all over them it's crazy what people are doing for a buck haha
How do you know it was just one collector? No, if you don't want the full set, we are not taking the full set. We sometimes just want a specific car. All you do is complain about nothing without thinking about all the logical scenarios. Yes, theres scalpers and there will always be scalpers in any hobby. Your just a full grown cry baby
i love to watch your videos ... but unfortunately they are very long ... there are many like us who don't have this level of patience to watch damm whole movie of 60 mins ...just have a small request can you do this in small parts or short episodes ... its really hard to watch your videos this length
I am sorry to hear that but it is hard to please everyone. Some people tell me my videos are not long enough and some say too long, but honestly I have very few complaints about the length.
Then watch what you want,, then stop,,, then get back to it later. Easy.
I like matchbox now.the cars they release are so much fun and random.the details are great.
It's funny that Mattel owns that line of diecast too.
@mikejanczyk nice I didn't know that I just started collecting the matchbox
I like to customize those cars too. A very nice line of cars. I've been collecting all types of toy cars for about 50 years. Matchbox has been around for more than 60 plus years.
I like matchbox now.the cars they release are so much fun and random.the details are great.
I still haven't found that Z 😢
Oh by the way, i think TIK TOK is responsible for it too
Agreed 👍 i just started and there is a frenzy 😮going in same thing happened with Funko Pops! . Personally i just bought what i like and keep the hunting on luck 🍀. Thank you. I’m from north shore MTL .
What is really odd is that there was a true Heavy Chevy. It was a special edition Chevelle done only in 71-72. No idea why HW would attach that name to a Camaro unless I am unaware of a real Camaro under that name.
59 Cadillac FC was also done twice I believe in the 100% line. I have no issue with displaying long cars as I only buy Carney displays with no dividers. I am so happy I made that decision. With dividers you get 12 rows of 7 cars for 84 total yet without dividers I can often get over 90 cars especially with smaller castings like Porsche or smaller brands that are just a hair shy of HW size. No dividers also allows me to display vehicles with trailers as many of my extensive Gulf vehicles have.
My cases are mostly Carney as well, I do use the divided 108 count though
