In reality, the Stuart little movies are the main reason why Hollywood was obsess of taking a classic cartoon, and turning it into a family hybrid movie during the 2000s decade.
I was obsessed with Alvin and the Chipmunks meet the Wolfman as a child. Between the ages of 4-7 I probably watched that VHS like 3 times a week. I rewatched it just a week ago for the first time in probably 15 years… I still loved it! I was so worried it was going to secretly be horrible like everything else I liked as a kid but it wasn’t! My bf had trouble understanding the chipmunks when they talk, but luckily I still have the entire transcript memorized. Nothing beats the designs of the late 80s chipmunks though.
Really great video! I myself actually make a lot of AATC video essays on my channel discussing various aspects about the franchise. I agree with the majority of the ranking, except Chipwrecked is actually my favorite of the live action films mainly for the adventure aspect on the deserted island. Though Road Chip is a very close second. But The Chipmunk Adventure still tops them all for me. Over time I have realized that TCA isn’t perfect as a movie in the sense that it doesn’t profoundly change the characters (Alvin is largely the same at the end of the movie as he was at the beginning), but it’s still a lot of fun. Mostly, again, for the adventure aspect. In fact, earlier this year I bought the screenplay for the movie and dumped its contents online. It was a fascinating (if very imperfect) read. I’m also glad to hear you’re very well versed with the AATC franchise such as the CGI series. I’ll be sure to check out your AATC playlist.
13:49 - Everyone Has Opinions But I Think "Rio" Is A Great Movie, It Was One Of My Favorite Childhood Movies, I Love The Characters, Yeah I Think It's F**king Great
I grew up in 2004 so I also grew up with these live action adaptations. I favorite movies are the 2007 movie and the wolf man movie. I haven’t seen Adventure but I’ll definitely check it out. Great video, you kinda remind me of schaffrillas, I’m a big fan of him as well.
I recently watched the Chipmunk Adventure as an adult for the first time and I agree with everything you said. Those poor children will need months of therapy after the batshit insanity Claudia and Klaus put them through.
Yeah if they did another one, I kinda hope there’s more romance between the Chipmunks and the chipettes. Maybe when they become older they realize they do love each other and want to become boyfriend and girlfriend. Sure we got some romantic parts in each of this movies but still. Especially with Alvin and Britney. They always fued it only makes sense. Plus it be super cute ☺️
My favorite Animated Alvin and the chipmunks movie is “The Chipmunk Adventure” and my favorite live-action movie is “Alvin and the Chipmunks The Squeakel”
I literally just watched the entirety of Little Alvin and the mini munks not knowing this even existed at first, and I completely agree with you. And Bruh….why was the toilet alive???? And those eyes 👀. Bro so weird.
@@NQProductions Like man I don’t blame Theodore for putting Random junk in there. He probably was using the bathroom and then toilet started speaking to him and after seeing those eyes he was just scared out of his mind and was trying to….you know what I mean. Sorry that’s a bit much
The chipmunk adventure felt more like a Disney movie than it did with the black cauldron since this was the same animation crew.

Yeah, TCA used animators who were laid off from Disney when they started gutting their animated shorts division in favor of outsourcing them to Japan and Taiwan.
Throughout the entire ranked, I couldn’t agree more of what was said. The first Alvin and chipmunks live action. Movie will be my favorite. Although ironically enough, I seen Alvin, the Frankenstein movie and Alvin and the werewolf on Netflix when I was around nine or eight.. which would’ve been around 16 or 17. Nevertheless and chipmunks, live action movie will always have a place in my heart. And what was said was put best. Also, can we talk about Alvin‘s transformation? It’s like he’s being turned into some gremlin maniac. It made me want to skip through the part where Alvin was back to normal and everybody happy at the end. Also, you definitely set a good example of underrated animator and ranker, especially if you’re are an Alvin and the Chipmunks and Fnaf fan Gr8 ranked vid 🙃👍🏻

AATC 2007 is definitely the best besides maybe TCA, sure, some of the stuff is either outdated (The fact Dave can afford a house in California with little to no income), just didn't age well ("I feel like P. Diddy with fur!") or wasn't funny in the first place (Simon eating Theodore's turd saying it's a raisin), but all in all, it's still a good movie. Though, being born in 2004, I have nostalgia bias.
Hope you see this, I also grew up w the live action, I was 2 when the squeakquel got released so I don’t remember watching that for the first time, since then I have watched it a couple of times, the first movie I watched was the original one around the team chipwrecked came out, loved that as a kid, and chipwrecked I was around 4-5 when I watched it, naturally as a kid I enjoyed it because of the chipmunks, and it was some sort of big adventure, I honestly think the chipwrecked soundtrack is the best out of them all or equal to the squeakquel actually, chipwrecked I also saw u didn’t really talk about the character development with Brittany alongside Alvin’s, very similar both of them maturing from earlier on in the film, also I think the role of “Simone” was to show Alvin becoming more responsible because of Simon becoming more adventurous and irresponsible showing how Alvin and Simon swapped personalities while Dave was thinking otherwise while he talked to Ian, also Brittany’s development was parallel with Alvin, while Jeanette kind of just followed Simon around, I think party rock was a good song to have in the movie because it just fit the scene and also the music of that time, party rock in general was an iconic song in those years and I remember it very well from my childhood, so I was rlly happy it was in chipwrecked, I really did enjoy the squeakquel too especially its soundtrack but too many plots as you pointed out, I loved the first 3 films, road chip is the best written one, but I don’t think it is the best film itself, I think the chipettes should’ve 100% been with the chipmunks in the whole movie as they established them as main characters after the 2nd and 3rd movies so basically almost getting rid of them doesn’t make sense and was disappointing, also the song “Home” was written by Avicii and one of my favourite songs of the whole franchise, other songs were good too but I think it’s my least favourite soundtrack overall, I do like Geronimo and Iko Iko however from it, I also think the start and end of road chip were rlly good but the middle was quite boring while they travelled, so road chip wasn’t bad but not my favourite, was still a decent film, I think chipwrecked is underrated though and overhated, but all 4 movies 100% had a lot more potential and should’ve done better for each one but I don’t think they’re as bad as people say, especially chipwrecked, I don’t think the 4th film is a fitting end either, they left many unanswered questions for after it, chipettes for example, and Dave’s house 😂, also how life is after Dave adopted the chipmunks, there’s many things that should’ve been done better but I love the films and think they’re underrated, all the music was 🔥, one thing that did annoy me though was the fact some of the music they didn’t use some of the music that were on the soundtrack, like daydream believer from squeakquel and I gotta feeling, and then Holiday, We’ll be Alright and Club can’t handle me from chipwrecked, they called them bonus tracks but I think they were some of the best tracks in the franchise and should’ve been used, overall obviously some things were disappointing but I think they’re great and underrated as well as iconic, I don’t think chipwrecked is even a bad film, very overhated as is all the live action films, but 100% had more potential and should’ve done better and many things are still unanswered which I hope one day they could complete and make comeback, (unpopular opinion: road chip designs may look the best but I think the animation for road chip is the best, whereas the designs and expressions from chipwrecked was the best as I think the road chip designs look way too CGI)
28:10 - I had just remembered that I owned DVD’s of the Alvin and the Chipmunks films (specifically the animated ones that are Halloween themed). I still own them, just surprised I forgot about it.
squeakquel is worst in my opinion (at least Alvin Isn't thinking about bullies in chipwrecked) road chip is kinda boring,so boring that I didn't even watched it,but I least I can watch than the squeakquel Again my opinion
What do you guys think of all the Alvin and the Chipmunks movies? How would you rank them from Worst to Best? 🤔
@@NQProductions uhh so I don't really watch the Alvin movies so Idk it means I don't know
@@NathanComix That's fine. Maybe you should watch them. 🙃
@@NQProductions I won't is because I'm not a very fan of aviln ok Nathan and my name is Nathan too
The direct dvd films are fine, the live action films are cringe

I find it funny. The alvin & chipmunks meet for Frankenstein. The chipetes aren't even mentioned or shown in that movie at all.
OOOO i love ur little avatar dude!

keep it up man :)))

The Toilet character looks like something out of Jack Stalber but not in a good way, and the frog look really cool

Sorry for this essay I think I repeated too much points so I don’t blame if you don’t read all the waffle 😂
