I am sad, 64, this is the age you should play and hug your grandchildren. Sit down on the front porch, have a look at this wonderful nature and trees, have a good drink and a cigar, if you like. It is time to relax and think back on your own life. The British music was always pointing the way and absolutely new, since the sixties. I am sad, your band gives me hymn of the 80ies, I always remember. I am sad Mark. Farewell.
Talk Talk did some pretty great songs. Mark Hollis was a master composer and singer. Hope you will like our cover of their hit song “Such A Shame”. ruclips.net/video/xreyDZCCLVQ/видео.html
Luckily for me I saw this WONDERFUL band twice in 1986. Fabulous gigs in Bradford and Leeds. Great songs that sound just as good,if not better,35 years later.
Some of the hippest music EVER made!!Mark Hollis was and is a pure genius-gone in body but spiritually he remains with all TalkTalk fans forever!!We will never forget you Mark you were one of the greatest artists ever!!TALK TALK FOREVER!!
GRANDISSIMO Mark
I listen and listen, all over and over again to Talk Talk and Mark Hollis solo stuff and can`t put in words, how thankful I am for that music. And eventhough I never can see them live, I can use youtube or my Talk Talk CD-s to enjoy them :)
Does Caroline Knows has my favorite bass track ever. I am sorry I didn't take the time to go see them in concert. They are in my top ten favorite bands. Thanks for uploading.
Thanks for all your songs ✨..
i have loved there music since Talk talk single, i still suprise myself that all these years on it still sounds as fresh and unique. The arrangements are brilliant, marks vocals amazing, Mark Hollis solo album is very different and very mesmerising
Agree with you about his last almost recent solo album. Ive read all his interviews along his lifespan, and biographies, a genius, philosopher, metaphysicist, poet. Atemporal like his heavenly voice.
Favorite memories .... the excitement of Laughing Stock coming out, rushing home to hear it. 1st time seeing them, open for the Psychadellic Furs in NYC, and seeing them again in a super small venue up close and of course the MTV incessant playing of "Its My Life" with the animals running around and the stripes on Mark's mouth. !! Now in my 60's the music still lives on and on with glee and gratitude.
That's not true at all. There are amazing muscians of today to discover, but you lost likely won't hear them on the radio, let alone see them on TV. Either way though, Talk Talk were indeed absolutely unique and their last 2 albums are among of the best albums ever recorded.
My god!!! how i love your voice, your music !! I was just a child (4 or 6 years old) when talk talk play their music,i whished being there just one time!!
at the same gig in Ipswhich. Absolutely a life changing night and 30 years later still not a single concert has come close to outranking that night, regardless of artist and .. I've seen a few since...
Yep, here i am, mid forty, keep coming back to songs i can relate to, to bands like talk talk with real and true music. This is one song that will always be with me. Love it. This is in no comparison with todays sh#t. I hate those to optimistic, made up, feel good sh#t.
The greatest loss to music...Mark Hollis was so far ahead of his time....Fly to your Heaven Mark and thanks so much for the music...it's just timeless🙏👏👏👏✌️✌️
that so nice, if you image, that the original B Side of the single was less than 3 min., andl live it was one of the highlites of the concert, thank you for sharing !!!
Had the cassette probably in in '83; going to school, living @ my coach's parents' house, made the move to Utah, had to be with my girl. Rene, Caroline knows, etc... no air conditioning, not Mormon but she was. Made it back to the valley
To think I was (and still am) a Talk Talk fan. At the time I live about a few hundred meters away from the Ahoy were this was going on. I couldn’t go because I had no money 😢 Luckily I did see them in 1986 at the Torhout festival 😅
Amazing how much they improved this song when they went into the "Colour of Spring" style and dumped that synthpop pidgeonhole. I liked the original, but this is f'ing GREAT.
best intro ever! Excellent band, superb sanger, stunning sound. I totally respect Hollis' decision to leave the music world behind him, but WHAT A LOSS. I'm quite sure that if there had been a come-back tour, every gig would have been sold out.

Lovely words Bjorn..love from England ✌
It's beautiful ❤️😪
So many taken to soon and Mark leaving behind his wife and sons so sad they were his life in the end .
Grandkids? Nooooo. Lol lol too young when you have led a life of adventure. But sad, yes. Much too young.......💔💔💔💔💔💔
It hurt me too. However, Mark left a musical legacy too superior to not be thankful for the time that he was here. I remember him from 1981.

Come on Mr Hollis your licks and lyrics shouldn`t be hidden from another generation.
You are so right guy...
Sometimes artists stop making art for the sake of simply knowing when to stop. Take Seinfield as an example.
Magnifique...
Io non ho più parole. Non penso ad altro da giorni
perfect !!!
Great percussion: the base for other players to build on....

Even Today All I can find is he died from a short term Illness ?
Wonderful amazing...
amazing!
The keyboard player really does a good guitar impression... had me fooled for a few seconds. I wonder what equipment he used to get that sound.
Increíblemente bueno, sí señor
Ian Curnow is a magician. His synth solos are wild.
So good!
This is great!!
I love you Mark
Was er toen bij in Rotterdam. Bewaar er goede herinneringen aan. Nog steeds geweldig goede muziek!!

That bass! 👌🏽
Masterpiece
Amazing how much they improved this song when they went into the "Colour of Spring" style and dumped that synthpop pidgeonhole.
I liked the original, but this is f'ing GREAT.
This is two years before Colour of Spring though!
Mark,voce limpida e intonazione perfetta.
Siete la migliore band anni 80.
Buon Natale Mark ❤️
Perhaps Top 5 ever!
amo questo pezzo
best intro ever! Excellent band, superb sanger, stunning sound. I totally respect Hollis' decision to leave the music world behind him, but WHAT A LOSS. I'm quite sure that if there had been a come-back tour, every gig would have been sold out.
I go to sleep at night listening to Talk Talk one night the next Tears for Fears and alternate every night.
I do the same thing but my parents hate it when I wear my headphones at night when I sleep listening to them
I’m casually listening to them
