Starting the narrowed chassis for big billets on the 89 s10 build

- Our awesome friends come over and help make some progress on the chassis of our s10 build. The 22x11 Boyd Coddington rear wheels would not fit under the factory truck without touching the bed when laid out. So narrowing the chassis and rear axle is in the works to make everything fit nice and tight under the bed.

Nice job. Great to have a bunch of such great friends too. This truck looks like it's going to be a winner.
Thank you for the support and watching the channel. We appreciate it
89s are my favorite!
This truck is quickly becoming my favorite
That sticker on the back window tho… ❤❤❤
Yessir the colors on it match the colors on the truck almost perfect. Wait until you see the link setup 🤩
Man y’all are killing it💪💪
I was in Outlandish for a few years.😂😂😂
Only a few of us left these days.
I hope you and lowerclassfab can work on somethin together
Maybe one day we can go hangout with those guys, who knows maybe we can get this truck going and cruise it over to his shop.
"I know I say um a lot" - I'd rather hear that than "right" over and over after every sentence!!... right? lol
It’s definitely a hard habit to break. Thanks for watching
So, are the gaps between the 2x3 and the top of the frame going to get filled later with the reinforcement plates? I'm digging the progress!
Yes that’s correct, next weeks video will show the top and bottom plates going on and how it ties all together. The 2x3 is mainly to hold the rails together and be a crossmember. Editing next video now 👍 Thanks for watching
@@Outlandish_Family I've never body dropped a truck but I've followed about every how to in Minitruckin or any decent RUclips video I've come across in the past 25 years. lol I wasn't sure if you guys had a different way of going about it.
Honestly I’ve never done it either, but I’m learning as I go and using what materials I can afford. I’m sure there’s a better and nicer way, but I’m enjoying learning and building it with my friends.
