As far as I can remember they were 275/60 all the way around but I can’t be sure. We done it for one of our viewers a while back. Haven’t seen truck since.

@@Outlandish_FamilyYea I’m basing my tire selection any day off of videos with diff combos I have a flipped c notched 98 suburban 2wd Guys run 275/60 on backs like The 454ss had . Some run 255//60 on all 4 and some even run 225/70s in front on a 5” front drop The wheels looked huge for a 4” drop that’s why I asked if the cleared any rub on the front

@@Outlandish_FamilyI’m thinking I’m gonna run 245/60 fronts and 255/60 rears since I’m slammed Current tires on are stock 235/75s they are fine but too narrow for my liking That standard cab Truck looks good 👍

@Chevro91 I had to modify the lower arms slightly but after that no rubbing that I know of.

@@Outlandish_Family yea I have had mine lowered once it’s all set up the trim on the lcas bee done I’m just basing the tire size findings that work for a larger tire like the 275/60 or 255/60 Without any rubbing

@@Outlandish_Family275/60 cleared everything as far as tire rub I’m not concerned with wheel / lca I already have mine notched I’m curious about the 275/60 long term bumps steering did it ever rub with 275/60 and was the tires ever changed to smaller set on front? Thanks

Yea I think it’s fine. If all the other bolts don’t hold it than that one extra wouldn’t either.

We cut it off in front of the axle and let the owner take care of it after he picked it up. That’s what we agreed on before we started on it.

Less than $1000 if you don’t include the tubular upper arms. I was dead set on transport wheels and dish caps so the swap was a must. Plus in todays market, GM 6 lug wheels are a lot easy to come by.

No issues. Only thing we ran into was the control arms hitting with the smaller size wheels. A little bit of clearance done to the lower arms and good to go.

People do use titanium blocks mounted to the chassis that touch first to make sparks without dragging the actual frame, but you also have people that just drag the actual frame. I was once the 2nd of the two. Now being a little older, wiser, and wanting to build something a little nicer. I think I will run the blocks.

The weather man said it was gonna rain all day so I dressed to sit around the shop and watch work get done. My truck sits outside the shop on weekdays so I wasn’t dragging a wet truck and parts in there. Buddy was I wrong lol.
