Hey, I blind bought Layton and the bottle should arrive these days. I work in a cold open space office environment: Do you think it could be worn at the office? And if so, what about clothing? I don't usually go too formal, but I don't let myself go too casual. Thanks!
Mmm, D&G The One EDP is my baby! 😍 I have a coworker who used to wear it and I would ask him to wander through my office all day just so I could smell it LOL! I actually could smell it on him throughout the day, but he's a heavy sprayer, so that worked with The One. I need to get him back on it ASAP! 😄
Andrés Botero Castro First off, you’re a moron for blind buying. I, too, fell for the hype, but rather than buying a bottle, I got a decant. Unless you want to smell like sweet vaporub, I would return the order/cancel it
Layton’s dry down is actually what made me buy the fragrance. I accidentally broke the small sample I had and I cleaned the remains with a towel, left the towel out for a few days and man was I sold. Great album btw love some jazz.

Great job Justin! I'm with u on Layton 100% actually I find with all the PDMs I've tried the drydowns seem to be nicer than the openings. Still need to try Reflection Man. Appreciate u bro. Part 3 with the fam coming soon? - Colin

Duuuude you really need to try Nishane Ani, the dry down in that thing is GORGEOUS, the vanilla in the base combined ginger & sandalwood is absolutely stunning, and it lasts for DAYS
I love the drydown on Prada Luna Rossa Carbon. I usually assess fragrances based on the overall scent and vibe, but Carbon is the only one that I can think of when I want something that dries down great. The metallic ambroxan lavender smells really smooth and calming to me.
Always special to see your vids jc so I want to say my favorite dry down is UOMO ermenegildo Zegna it’s Italian Fresh dope and it has a dry down that brings me to feel like new clothes on my back but super fresh ! Thanks again for the list Layton is on my agenda ! Lol
The dry down with Club De Nuit Intense Man is awesome. And on Me it last forever. I also really like Salvatore Ferragamo F Black. The dry down is awesome with that tonka bean and lavender
I think your number 1 choice is absolutely on the money. I suggested Wanted by Night to my cousin for a date with his Mrs and he didnt like the opening. I asked him to be patient and within 30 minutes he ABSOLUTELY LOVED it. I feel exactly the same way, Wanted by Night is my favourite every drydown frag and the opening does very little for me.
Great content as always Justin. Not gonna list 10 but a fragrance I recently bought over the Christmas holiday has a drydown that's really captivating to me. It also literally lasts 24 hours on my skin...it is TF Ombre Leather. It's fire bruh!!!
@@mercedesbenzs600bash , it's so good bruh! On first sniff, it may seem maybe a little too true leather for you...I mean it is the exact smell of a new leather jacket. But give it time and a wearing or too and you will enjoy it for hours because the muted fruity accords make it a little sweeter than actual leather. The juice just keeps pumping wafts to your nose all day into the next, especially on clothes. Enjoy it!

MERCEDESBENZS600 BASH bruh, I might check that out. My go-to are the black trees called Black Ice. Let me know how you like Ombré Leather...my SOTD layered with Prada L’homme Intense cuz I wanted to wear both but couldn’t decide which.
I totally agree about Green Irish Tweed. The first time the sales assistant sprayed this on a test strip for me at Bloomingdale's I thought it was awful. I tried it again my next trip to the mall and sprayed some on my arm. Two hours later I discovered I really liked it...the dry down was sooo much nicer. Now I own a 30 ml bottle!

I would say most frags have a damned good dry down otherwise we wouldn’t purchase them 👍 A cheap gem that takes about an hour to evolve is Giorgio Beverly Hills. Just wow to me. Another is Boucheron edt or edp. It’s perfect on the dry down, just takes longer then normal to bring out it’s perfection
Tom ford black orchids dry down is Fiiiiiiiiiiire ! I love the opening too tho it took a couple sniffs to really enjoy it I wasn't sure but maaaaan its amazing I smell it every night before bed i would spray it but too expensive to waste

For anyone that wants aventus that will last u gotta get vintage batches on facebook group. All my vintage batches last 10 hrs on skin still faint smell next morning on hand. On clothes sometimes I find a shirt from a week ago still smelling like aventus. 12 an 13 batches I found last the longest
I’m not sure which drive down I like the most yet but I do like the Christian Dior intense I have it I love it and I’m building my collection I’m really starting to like the house of Amouage
Beaufort Coeur de Noir like most Beauforts has a sharp difficult to handle opening but has a super dark red and leathery dry down that twists and turns tart and sweet....
J.C. love your channel and thanks for turning us onto Monika Cioch!! Can i request a video subject? Considering these two vids....best opening and drydown....whats your thoughts on worst opening and drydown!? Thanks bro. Keepin makin em and we'll keep watchin em!!!
Musc ravageur and l'air du desert marocain are both #1 for the best drydowns I've gotten my nose on. #2 would probably be the original formulation of ysl la nuit. #3 hmmmm...tom ford noir extreme.
Bro, is you want a modern fresher take on Green Irish Tweed, check out Bond No 9 Chez Bond... It's a stunner! And the Sandalwood is so smooth and creamy in that Reflection Man dry down 😍. My favorite drydowns are Reflection Man, PDM Herod, and Pineapple Vintage Emperor EDP.
@@mercedesbenzs600bash I enjoy it more than GIT. Less mossy and damp smelling. Performance on my skin is amazing. I get 3 hours projection and 8 hours longevity. Get a sample first. You won't regret it.
@@ronjarrah9516 I'm definitely gonna SAMPLE it first as I do with ALL EXPENSIVE colognes, don't have money to just throw away,I never really liked GIT,but you make Chez Bond sound very intriguing, much appreciated my man,thanks....
@@mercedesbenzs600bash You're most welcome man. GIT is more daring "dirtier" scent where Chez is a safer "cleaner" smell that can be pulled if the office. Very similar DNA, but Chez is more modern and less dated. Good luck.
I want to check out Dior Homme, and I will. I want to share this with you, though... I recently acquired a sample of MEMO Granada. The drydown is unbelievable. In my opinion, it didn’t get really good until I had been wearing it for 9 hours. Crazy, I know. I think it was Fragrantica that said it’s a female fragrance, but it’s unisex in my opinion. The opening is quite floral and woody, but the dry is a deep myrrh and resin. Crazy, crazy juice.
Hi Justin, Oriza L. Legrand and Équation Naturelle: perfect ! 👌 My favorite fragrance drydown, I think is "Vaara" 💜 - Penhaligon's (Bertrand Duchaufour). Have a good day. Peace.
Good video bro, really enjoyed your picks. I listen/watch your videos at work in the background where I can’t sign into my RUclips account. Still subscribed but most of my views are from a “non-subscriber”.
Do you have performance issues with your GIT as well? I ask because I have had a bottle as long as you've had your Aventus--same problem, just doesn't smell the same.
I honestly like Bleu de Chanel’s drydown a bit more than the opening, but unfortunately I go noseblind very easily so I never smell it unless I’m doing laundry and smell the shirts that have some bleu dc on them lol
I never buy based on the opening, and this is where most fragrances fail (imo). Dry down is what it's all about. In my collection the best dry down is Mancera Instant Crush and Cedrat Boise joint.
Favorite dry downs ok I have to say jubilation xxv the opening is epic but the dry down is absolute magic Kilian back to black same thing PDM Herod has magical dry down Bond no9 Manhattan the opening is very head turning but the dry down is delicious I cannot decide which part I like more Actually creed royal Mayfair has a very nice dry down that opening can be challenging although I love it but the dry down is really nice Mancera aoud blue notes has a really nice dry down the opening is somewhat captivating but the dry down when the leather and iris come out to mesh with blue is opening, on the more floral side and in the deeper dry down the masculine woodiness makes an appearance it’s not recognizable oud but it’s a summer scent well no spring scent it’s too heavy for high heat I really like the dry down on van cleef and arpels moonlight patchouli it’s very chocolaty patchouli goodness Same goes for TF black orchid The dry down on DHP is mind blowing no other words about it I also enjoy the dry down on 1M prive although I have not worn that in quite a while I am sure I am leaving something out but that’s more than enough
MERCEDESBENZS600 BASH depends on you , not particularly in the traditional sense but also yes it’s something that men can wear without issue it’s unisex but it might not be for you if you don’t like the unisex style of perfumery or if it’s one of your first 5-10 bottles it won’t appeal to you If you would say DHI is manly then so is TF black orchid they smell different but the style is similar
Layton has to be my favourite dry down from all the fragrances in my collection so far, Wanted by Night, Valentino Uomo Intense, Creed Royal Oud and Chanel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme round out my top 5.. Also, I am having issues with my Aventus and mine is a 2019 batch.. I get 6-8 hours on a good day but the projection and scent trail seem to leave after 2-3.. I was expecting more from such a hyped and expensive fragrance.
Haha - I've found that our olfactory tastes are in alignment quite often, but with regards to your #1? Wow! I've never really experienced its dry-down, because something in this one instantly repelled me the moment I sprayed it! I could not scrub it off quickly enough - it is one of the few fragrances that I strongly dislike. On a more positive note, I'm wearing Journey Man today and I've gotta say that the dry-down on this one is coming off really pleasant. It's actually not much different from the opening. I find it pretty linear, but when it's this good, what does it matter? Cheers!
@@stayfreshproductions Oops - I think you're getting yourself a bit mixed up, there, Justin! I was referring to Azzaro Wanted by Night. I won't hold it against ya, though, I usually mix up my top 3 'anything' depending on what day it is. ;)
Hi Elizabeth. I haven’t owned any of them, but I’ve smelled a handful. The ones that resonate with me are Vetiver Fatale, Café Tuberosa, Santal Carmin, Pacific Lime, and I find Gold Leather really interesting but would need to spend more time with it before wearing it out. What are your favorites?
Hey J. C. , I have been wearing Cedre Atlas as a daily wear out and about. Something about it mixes with my chemistry really well. It’s a very fresh one, but looking for something a little deeper, and Oud based from the Atelier, I have a sample of Emeraud Agar and Rose Anonyme on the way!
Elizabeth Blazewicz I know I’ve tried Cedre Atlas but I can’t remember the scent. Will try it again! I used to own Rose Anonyme believe it or not. It was given to me at a time when I didn’t really care for rose, so I don’t have it anymore. I might try that one again too. I’m not familiar with that Oud scent!
This is it: ecuacionnatural.com/en/producto/malaga-santa-agua-de-perfume/ I'm not sure if it still works, but you can use the code SFP5 for 5% off. I'm sorry if its no longer active.
Great video JC!! Thank you.The Dior original line is being discontinued. They're going to change it to the 2020 formulation. They removed the signature iris note.Be very afraid. It's nothing like what you own currently. I've seen two reviews and both were unfavorable about the fragrance. I'm just warning you now.
@@juliusseizure4983 I used to have samples of both, but I bought wanted by night because the price is great, and it is so beautiful especially at evening out. The wanted is good for everyday and nice, but not as unique as wanted by night
My favourite dry downs are Musc Ravageur, Aventus and Roaring Radcliff (just wish it lasted longer than the 20-30 mins I get on my skin). As to the subscription issue, could you please start in the other way around - i.e explain why it matters? Cause from my perspective as a viewer, I only subscribe if I really don”t want to miss anything on the topic. So why does it matter to you as a content provider?
Hoping to smell Musc Ravageur soon. In regards to subscriptions--what content creator wouldn't want their viewers to subscribe to their content? It means more consistent eyes on every video I spend hours putting together. I hope that makes sense.
Justin, I like trying to challenge myself going through the list process...and try to come up with my own lists based on the video topic..but man this one is TOUGH. I love most of the dry downs of all the frags I own because that is what I enjoy them most about frags.... Imma have to comeback here and drop a 10 list once I can wrap my head around it to narrow it down. Reflection Man, Black Phantom, and PdM Carlisle immediately come to mind but that's because I wore these most recently. :)
@@stayfreshproductions I hate overhyping a fragrance because that almost always leads to someone getting disappointed by their own high expectations, but I really can't wait to see your take on Carlisle. The magic is the dry down for me.

My ultimate AMBER fragrance would be? 11. My ultiamate MUSKY fragrance would be? 12. My ultimate GOURMAND fragrance would be? It does not have to be strictly floral or citrus or etc. Can be mixed like a sweet citrus or a woody citrus, as long as the fragrance is still classiifed as a citrus. Designer and Niche edition please. Thankyou!
I hereby subscribed to your channel, I have seen a lot of your videos actually. I have kind of committing isues:p. I agree with the drydowns mostly. Reflection man is beautiful, have it on right now
Been echoing the exact same sentiment about Aventus all along. Mine never projected nor lasted on skin or clothes. So I’m yet to get this outta body experience everyone speaks of.
Ok so the EDP is the same as the EDT as far as poor performance huh, that's really good to know,I have the EDT but the performance is so POOR,it's a shame too because it's such a great scent....
For sure! I just got this one two days ago and my fiance immediately told me it was my signature scent. It causes anyone to pause and smell. To me Reflection smells like wealth, sweet wealth.
Although the opening of a fragrance grabs the attention of the wearer/user, its the dry down that grabs the attention of the people around you, and keeps your interest throughout the day! So you want to make sure its a good one. 😎

Red tobacco, Dior intense, D & G the one and JPG essence parfum 💥💥
Yeah I hear their openings are pretty unapologetic, but the dry downs are very good. Still have yet to try one.
Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille for me. So heavenly!
JUSTIN Tom Ford Oud Wood hits the spot too!!!!
J.C. love your channel and thanks for turning us onto Monika Cioch!! Can i request a video subject? Considering these two vids....best opening and drydown....whats your thoughts on worst opening and drydown!? Thanks bro. Keepin makin em and we'll keep watchin em!!!
Thanks Zach! I'll consider this topic...
My favorite dry down is always GIT.. but Bleu de Chanel would be my 2nd pick
Musc ravageur and l'air du desert marocain are both #1 for the best drydowns I've gotten my nose on. #2 would probably be the original formulation of ysl la nuit. #3 hmmmm...tom ford noir extreme.
Nice picks!
Man i have to say it, That Dior homme Parfum dry down blows my mind. great list Justin!
Thank you! I love DHP too.
Bond No 9 Chez Bond huh, gotta try that one, does it smell better than GIT in your opinion and how's the performance???
Good luck.
Good evening J C, beautiful list and video! CDNIM dry down! Dolce Gabbana the one EDP, Acqua di Gio profumo, Creed Aventus, have a great night.
Hi Greg, great picks! Have a good night.
I'll see if I can smell Granada!
🔥🔥🔥 selection bruh!!!
Thanks bro!
Have you tried opium pour homme? Mid to base is amazing
Haven't tried it yet!
I just sub! You got a new fan now.
Thanks Kenneth!
Hi Justin,
Oriza L. Legrand and Équation Naturelle: perfect ! 👌
My favorite fragrance drydown, I think is "Vaara" 💜 - Penhaligon's (Bertrand Duchaufour).
Have a good day.
Peace.
Ooo, I need to try Vaara...thank you!
Amazing well done
Great video brother! Side note: Is that a picture of Sears Tower in Chicago? Great list.
Thank you bro! And its actually the Hancock Building, but yes it’s in Chicago. I took that photo while driving on Lake Shore Drive years ago.
J. C. Thought so. John Hancock is directly beside it. Sears Tower is the Willis Tower now. I'm from there. Lake Shore is a sight.
Antoine TheRealRoss yes indeed! I lived there for 8 years. Beautiful city.
Good video bro, really enjoyed your picks. I listen/watch your videos at work in the background where I can’t sign into my RUclips account. Still subscribed but most of my views are from a “non-subscriber”.
My favorite drydown is from le gallion : aestethe
Layton 🙌🏽
Right now I’m enjoying John Varvatos Vintage.
Original A*Men.....the all time king of dry downs!!!!!
La Nuit (best dry down ever), Le Male, A*Men, Allure Homme Sport, Pure Malt, Pure Habane..
Do you have performance issues with your GIT as well? I ask because I have had a bottle as long as you've had your Aventus--same problem, just doesn't smell the same.
No problems with my GIT! Just Aventus...
I honestly like Bleu de Chanel’s drydown a bit more than the opening, but unfortunately I go noseblind very easily so I never smell it unless I’m doing laundry and smell the shirts that have some bleu dc on them lol
I find I go nose blind to bleu de Chanel edp very easily
I never buy based on the opening, and this is where most fragrances fail (imo). Dry down is what it's all about. In my collection the best dry down is Mancera Instant Crush and Cedrat Boise joint.
Love the idea of this topic!
Unknown Pleasures by Kerosene. Man its this beautiful sweet waffle cone, dusty tea smell. So relaxing, one of my favorite rainy day scents.
Sounds bomb I'm gonna check it out
Have yet to smell anything from the house!
Favorite dry downs ok I have to say jubilation xxv the opening is epic but the dry down is absolute magic
Kilian back to black same thing
PDM Herod has magical dry down
Bond no9 Manhattan the opening is very head turning but the dry down is delicious I cannot decide which part I like more
Actually creed royal Mayfair has a very nice dry down that opening can be challenging although I love it but the dry down is really nice
Mancera aoud blue notes has a really nice dry down the opening is somewhat captivating but the dry down when the leather and iris come out to mesh with blue is opening, on the more floral side and in the deeper dry down the masculine woodiness makes an appearance it’s not recognizable oud but it’s a summer scent well no spring scent it’s too heavy for high heat
I really like the dry down on van cleef and arpels moonlight patchouli it’s very chocolaty patchouli goodness
Same goes for TF black orchid
The dry down on DHP is mind blowing no other words about it
I also enjoy the dry down on 1M prive although I have not worn that in quite a while
I am sure I am leaving something out but that’s more than enough
Is Tom Ford's Black Orchid a manly cologne????
MERCEDESBENZS600 BASH depends on you , not particularly in the traditional sense but also yes it’s something that men can wear without issue it’s unisex but it might not be for you if you don’t like the unisex style of perfumery or if it’s one of your first 5-10 bottles it won’t appeal to you
If you would say DHI is manly then so is TF black orchid they smell different but the style is similar
Royal Oud and AHSEE are awesome.
Cheers!
Its ok that you don't enjoy Layton! Our tastes can drastically differ, and that's awesome.
I still need to try Journey Man.
@@stayfreshproductions Oops - I think you're getting yourself a bit mixed up, there, Justin! I was referring to Azzaro Wanted by Night. I won't hold it against ya, though, I usually mix up my top 3 'anything' depending on what day it is. ;)
I’m so curious what you will think of Atelier Cologne’s lineup.
Great review!
Thank you!
Where can you get the Malaga Santa, Justin? I can't find it anywhere!
This is it:
ecuacionnatural.com/en/producto/malaga-santa-agua-de-perfume/
I'm not sure if it still works, but you can use the code SFP5 for 5% off. I'm sorry if its no longer active.
Good stuff !👍🏿
Great video JC!! Thank you.The Dior original line is being discontinued. They're going to change it to the 2020 formulation. They removed the signature iris note.Be very afraid. It's nothing like what you own currently. I've seen two reviews and both were unfavorable about the fragrance. I'm just warning you now.
Funny, this pops up in my feed as I'm enjoying the Green Irish Tweed drydown; comparing it to Tres Nuit.
Have you come to a conclusion? I'm curious because git is my favorite fragrance of all time.
@@fallguy6196 In the dry down it gets close, but I can pick up on the quality difference of GIT. Not bad at all, but I'd just stick with the real. 👍🏽
ultramale's drydown is my favorite
It smells very good.
Azzaro by Night really great fragrance. I really love it and its projectiin is magical. Always got compliment when I wear it
What about the regular Wanted?
@@juliusseizure4983 I used to have samples of both, but I bought wanted by night because the price is great, and it is so beautiful especially at evening out. The wanted is good for everyday and nice, but not as unique as wanted by night
Roja Enigma dry down is the best dry down ever. I don't even think anything will come close.
Dolce di giorno smells identical to costume nationale homme. Good list!
Thank you Nick! It is awfully similar.
J.C Thank You Bro For The Great Video.
Thank you for watching!
1 - Layton
2 - Wanted by night
3 - Boss bottled intense
Justin, I like trying to challenge myself going through the list process...and try to come up with my own lists based on the video topic..but man this one is TOUGH. I love most of the dry downs of all the frags I own because that is what I enjoy them most about frags.... Imma have to comeback here and drop a 10 list once I can wrap my head around it to narrow it down. Reflection Man, Black Phantom, and PdM Carlisle immediately come to mind but that's because I wore these most recently. :)
RM and BP are amazing, will sniff Carlisle soon! Thanks bro.
@@stayfreshproductions I hate overhyping a fragrance because that almost always leads to someone getting disappointed by their own high expectations, but I really can't wait to see your take on Carlisle. The magic is the dry down for me.
J. C. ✨
J.C. you da man!
When did you start working at fragrance.net??? Seen you in the videos. Where is your shirt??
I make reviews for their website. I only wear the shirt for their videos!
Would love to see your version of a fragrance wheel where you can only wear one fragrance from the following categories:
1. My ultimate CITRUS fragrance would be?
2. My ultimate OCEANIC fragrance would be?
3. My ultimate GREEN fragrance would be?
4. My ultimate FRUITY fragrance would be?
5. My ultimate FLORAL fragrance would be?
6. My ultimate ORIENTAL fragrance would be?
7. My ultimate WOODY fragrance would be?
8. My ultimate SPICY fragrance would be?
9. My ultimate AROMATIC fragrance would be?
Thankyou!
I will consider this, Suzie!
I hereby subscribed to your channel, I have seen a lot of your videos actually. I have kind of committing isues:p. I agree with the drydowns mostly. Reflection man is beautiful, have it on right now
Thanks Rudy! Reflection is beautiful indeed.
Been echoing the exact same sentiment about Aventus all along. Mine never projected nor lasted on skin or clothes. So I’m yet to get this outta body experience everyone speaks of.
:(
Again The One EDP smells fantastic. And the dry down is just as good. But the performance/longevity just isn't worth a dime.
Ok so the EDP is the same as the EDT as far as poor performance huh, that's really good to know,I have the EDT but the performance is so POOR,it's a shame too because it's such a great scent....
Reflection Man definitely has a “head in the clouds effect”
Indeed!
For sure! I just got this one two days ago and my fiance immediately told me it was my signature scent. It causes anyone to pause and smell. To me Reflection smells like wealth, sweet wealth.
Women fragrance, which one do you like on a women?
I’m actually preparing a video on this topic! 😉
I'm surprised you didnt put Tom Ford or Creed on the list big dog .
Hey Ray. I don’t currently own any Tom Ford...but did you see I have a couple Creeds on this list?
@@stayfreshproductions Justin, you really should try Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille, and/or the less expensive Tom Ford Noir Extreme. Amazing!!
