Through this experiment we r going to test the factors which are required to rust the iron. So we should not use rusted nail . We should use clean nail only.

Out of the air trapped in the test tube apparently 1/5 is got consumed. Also in the atmosphere the O2 percentage is 20%. So we can say the gas used is oxygen
