You are the only simple and direct one out of the many that I watched. Very helpful. Did it the wrong way many months back but paid with flooding last night. Got it right now after watching your video 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🙏🏽
Thank you Paula, was trying to figure out how the line was set up when I found your site. I had been to Homedepot but they were of no help. Turns out all we had to do was take the little black cap off and screw on the steel braided line that was there from the one we replaced. Many thanks for your video again, Regards,PaulB
I so enjoyed this video. I was singing with you at end. I just bought an LG fridge and I kept looking at the top to connect as well. Thanks for the video.
You did a very good job and helped me a lot. I watched tons of videos and I couldn’t figure it. It is good that women do this type of things. You encourage me! Thank you!
Good lesson dear. I am a dad and my daughter (22now) is keen learning my technical (I was a Tool Maker by profession 20 years ago and have all tools a handy man needs) abilities helping me- your side story is real inspiration. Thank you
Just completed the task All good Took more time than it required , bit of drilling and plumbing involved Bought stuff even before the fridge arrived- provided water tube is excess now.. will find it useful later. Thanks for this video. Very useful
Thank you for this video!! It appears that we have the same fridge. I was thinking the same as you about the initial connection because the owner’s manual instructions are junk. Your text adds at the very beginning cleared that up. Perfect description and filming to knock this out quickly. Thank you!!
I honestly liked your side story, you dad would be proud! Something I want to teach my 3 girls! Thank you for this share for both your side story and the information about this LG fridge. God bless
Awesome job! Loved that you shared the story about your dads tools ❤️❤️. Side thought, I believe you are to run in down threw the metal where the blue tube was to help not have it bend when pushing the fridge in and out.
Great video. I a a tradesman and saw the little lightning bolt on the plate and was concerned that it was some stupid attachment for an antenna booster for the WiFi. Figured it out but you confirmed it for me.
Thanks! I was reading through the manual, and it really seemed like it wanted me to just start cutting away through these plastic tubes. I was lucky and just had to screw the fitting on. Didn't even have to leave the house.
Thank you so much for detailed instruction. After Home Depot delivery guys refused to connect the water line to brand new refrigerator (they refused it because it copper line) and not even telling me where to connect, I watched your video and did it myself. Why do we even pay the installation fee ? :(
Oh Paula, I have the exact same set up. I was transferring the hose from old fridge to new Whirlpool that is identical to your LG back. Thank you, yes your Daddy was right. So much we can do when your past the intimidation. It sure didn't explain how to disconnect and connect in the manual very well.
Great video, well done! Inspirational, as well as, hands on instruction without the crazy loud music playing like most of the other RUclips video’s! Thank You*****
Thank you so very much , I was installing my new fridge my self and them I was confuse on the Manuel explanation and them thought about looking on RUclips and got it done ❤
Thank you you made my day. This is not even well explained in the owner's manual By the way if you changed your fridge, it would be a good idea to change this pipe too to avoid any water damage due to rupture of the old dried pipe.
Thank you for this video. I was just about to follow the exact same path when it occurred to me to search for a video. What we do without RUclips and folks like yourself!
Did ya Daddy not teach you to use the right tool for the job? But pillars work just as well.😉 My daughter fixes many of her own things, too. I just don't watch and know better then to say a word.🤐 You're doing a great job.👏👏
I just bought a new fridge too...I'm not surprised you originally thought it connected at the top/rear /right side because that's what the manual says to do ...good job tho👍
Great job. I would recommend replacing that line with a braided steel line. These plastic lines do fail sometimes and the damage can be extraordinary. The braided lines are not expensive and can be found in many lengths for cheap piece of mind.
I love your video!, I’m in the same installation problem, but watching yours, clarified a lot!. Bottom connector. You make me laugh with your Aleluya!!!!, I’m gonna do the same!
Thank you, I paid lowes to hook up my refrigerator but a according to them that means plugging it into the outer. So thank you again I will have cold water tonight.
So you didn't use the little ferrells on the inside of the compression nut? Looks like you just used the sleeve inside the line and then connected the compression nut to the back of the fridge. Is it still holding up? I ask because everything Ive read and watched says ferrells are needed to prevent leaks
I would advise using an armored shield water line rather than just pex line. Additionally, I would advise that the shut off valve be moved from the pipe to the first floor just above the access hole.
I have the exact same fridge , after all is hooked up the pressure coming out is decent but definitely slower then the normal. Not sure why , any suggestions
Yes, that’s what it is called(compression nut)! I was able to find this out later and get one from Home Depot! Thanks again for sharing the video, it was quite helpful!
No ....check on video what she put in the plastic tube steel sleeve ,if she don't have it then put plastic ferrule...cant put both. They both work well ferrule or steel sleeve
An easy hack you can do if there is only one line coming off that brass connection is buy a push fitting cut the line and connect the two push fittings
Tehe this is funny!😁 Yo you're going to have to hit that with a wrench of the correct size probably like a quarter inch... I'm not worried about how to get the water out of the dispenser once you get past all this point mine just sits there and like trickles out little drips...🤷
The plastic hose is better than a copper tube that can break when moving the fridge and flood your home, but I recommend a breaded metal like flexible hose, I feel is safer. Because if that hose breaks the water will come out non stop. I fact many condo rules won't even allow you to connect a fridge to a water line.
You don’t even understand how much time you saved me! Thank you
You are the only simple and direct one out of the many that I watched. Very helpful. Did it the wrong way many months back but paid with flooding last night. Got it right now after watching your video 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🙏🏽
Thank you! I am going to attempt this. Thanks for your dad teaching you and gifting his tools to you and your son.
So happy you put this together. I was looking at the top too and didn't notice the true connection. After watching, I connected in minutes. thank you
Thanks for this. The manual just shows the lines at the top. And only explains how to connect to the water line in the house.
Thank you Paula, was trying to figure out how the line was set up when I found your site. I had been to Homedepot but they were of no help. Turns out all we had to do was take the little black cap off and screw on the steel braided line that was there from the one we replaced.

I so enjoyed this video. I was singing with you at end. I just bought an LG fridge and I kept looking at the top to connect as well. Thanks for the video.
this is the only video that worked thank you. No one else stated to remove the cap
Loved this video (including sidebars). I now have confidence to give this a try. Thanks!
You just saved me so so much time because I was going to start with the top fitting too! Thank you!!!
THANK YOU!!!! You just saved me wrecking my brand new fridge. I never looked down either.
Thank you so much for your video! I’m feeling much more confident in fixing my water line on my fridge! So helpful!!
You did a very good job and helped me a lot. I watched tons of videos and I couldn’t figure it. It is good that women do this type of things. You encourage me!
Thank you!

Just completed the task
All good

Thanks for this video. Very useful
YOU ROCK! That was helpful for me. I just need to get the water line installed now...lol
Thank you for this video!! It appears that we have the same fridge. I was thinking the same as you about the initial connection because the owner’s manual instructions are junk. I haven't installed my fridge yet but I am gathering some info and this is a very good one. Thanks!
Awesome job! Loved that you shared the story about your dads tools ❤️❤️. Side thought, I believe you are to run in down threw the metal where the blue tube was to help not have it bend when pushing the fridge in and out.
Thank you so much! This video really helped me. I too was confused about connecting the water tube to the top part of the fridge.
Thank you very much. I was trying to figure out where to connect the water line until I found you. It's valid for model LRFWS2906V, too. Thanks a lot.
Thanks Paula . . I'm just up to the same task, and you're video was so much clearer than anything else I've found. Kudos to you!
BRAVO!!! Thank you Ms Stout. Just what I needed to know.
Great video. I a a tradesman and saw the little lightning bolt on the plate and was concerned that it was some stupid attachment for an antenna booster for the WiFi. Figured it out but you confirmed it for me.
That is a good point! I didn’t even think of that.
Thanks! I was reading through the manual, and it really seemed like it wanted me to just start cutting away through these plastic tubes. I was lucky and just had to screw the fitting on. Didn't even have to leave the house.
Im going to install the water line later today and was searching how to do it. Thank you for the tip.

Nicely done. I got stuck on finding the outlet too.
Thank you!! I made the same exact mistake, this was so helpful. The installation paperwork is almost useless...
I couldn't agree more !
Manual was Rediculous
Thank you for this video. You helped me to hook my refrigerator myself.
Great video, well done! Inspirational, as well as, hands on instruction without the crazy loud music playing like most of the other RUclips video’s! Thank You*****

It doesn't!!!!
Sounds like our Dads were the same. Enjoyed you nice little side story!
Nicely done. Just finished my install thanks to your video and tips. Thanks again and good for your Dad ;)
Thanks! Just the info I needed.
God bless your heart. Many thanks for sharing this. It was a great help. I followed your instruction and my LG fridge water dispenser is now working.
You go girl 👍 good for u. So relate to all your Dad comments💕. And thx for the helpful video
Gog bless our great ol Pops! Gods gift to us that keep on giving 🙏 I miss mine daily too!
Thanks Paula, your video is really helpful!
Thank you. I needed to disconnect the waterline from my LG fridge just like your's.
Thank you! Answered my question in the first 15sec
Great video, glad I found it, save me so much runaround from the LG video that was useless
Hahahahaha I died of laughter when the water came out and you started singing LOL!!!!
Thank you for this video. I was just about to follow the exact same path when it occurred to me to search for a video. What we do without RUclips and folks like yourself!
Same!!!
Thank you 🙏🏾 so helpful. Just installed my fridges waterline
Thank you!! 😊 very great & hands on video!
Did ya Daddy not teach you to use the right tool for the job? But pillars work just as well.😉 My daughter fixes many of her own things, too. I just don't watch and know better then to say a word.🤐 You're doing a great job.👏👏
You've helped me out today !
Your video was clear to understand and I have same setup. Thnx again
This was very helpful ❤
Perfect. Thank for this instructions. Now Iam clear
Thanks. I could not figure out where to connect.
I just bought a new fridge too...I'm not surprised you originally thought it connected at the top/rear /right side because that's what the manual says to do ...good job tho👍
Great job.

These plastic lines do fail sometimes and the damage can be extraordinary.
The braided lines are not expensive and can be found in many lengths for cheap piece of mind.
Good idea!!
just got a brand new lg and my old line did kink and stop the flow. new stainless is now working fine. craft ice baby!
Thank you for posting!
Thank you Dear! I had the same situation and you make my day much easier 🤗🌻
More thorough then some plumbers. Good job.
So you didn't use the little ferrells on the inside of the compression nut? Looks like you just used the sleeve inside the line and then connected the compression nut to the back of the fridge. Is it still holding up? I ask because everything Ive read and watched says ferrells are needed to prevent leaks
Yes. It held up perfectly. :)
Thank you . Saved me an install service
I thank you dad as well, liked your video
I would advise using an armored shield water line rather than just pex line. Additionally, I would advise that the shut off valve be moved from the pipe to the first floor just above the access hole.
Question does this one has the ice craft (sphere ice balls)
Glad it worked out for you.
Good job, thanks for all the help 😃
Was doing the same thing. Thanks
I have the exact same fridge , after all is hooked up the pressure coming out is decent but definitely slower then the normal. Not sure why , any suggestions
Thanks for sharing this! What do you call the brass thing and the other one that you used to put in the water pipe? Sorry, my knowledge is too less.
A compression fitting I think ? Not certain... but I think that's what it is.
Yes, that’s what it is called(compression nut)! I was able to find this out later and get one from Home Depot! Thanks again for sharing the video, it was quite helpful!
Thanks for the info! It was exactly what I was looking for.
Thank you so much. It was an understandable video. Have a wonderfull day
Great job...Live and learn.
Thank you very helpful my wife needs to learn from you..
Thanks
You answered my question 👍
Thanks, I was worried about that one line that has nothing connected to it - thought maybe something was missing but I see you have it too.
Thanks Paula you confirmed my suspicions.
Paula- what is the brass part you are using to connect?
The brass piece is simply to keep the tube from collapsing when the other piece bites down, I believe.
Loved the story about ur dad.
Thank tou for helping me do it myself ❣️
A literal lifesaver
Nice work. You need to use a plastic ferrule on the end of the nut to keep it locked in place.
No ....check on video what she put in the plastic tube steel sleeve ,if she don't have it then put plastic ferrule...cant put both. They both work well ferrule or steel sleeve
There's a kit at Home Depot for the hookup. They come in different lengths for a 1/4" fitting.
Hello where did you get the kit? Amazon?
You are amazing. Thank you so much
Awesome! Video. Thank you!
How long did it take for the ice machine to start making ice after you had attached the water line?
Thanks for info
Thank you fridge queen
Perfect video. Loved the hallelujah!!!
good job, thanks
How did you do for the ice? Mine dont work and it seem I have to do something else. Did you?
Mine worked immediately. I didn't have to do anything extra. I think, sometimes, it is a water pressure issue. Do you think that is a possibility?
@@bbyparit Thank's for your help, I will verify the pressure!
Good job! I gotta do it also
An easy hack you can do if there is only one line coming off that brass connection is buy a push fitting cut the line and connect the two push fittings
Very Helpful, thank you!
Tehe this is funny!😁 Yo you're going to have to hit that with a wrench of the correct size probably like a quarter inch... I'm not worried about how to get the water out of the dispenser once you get past all this point mine just sits there and like trickles out little drips...🤷

Does the ice maker work?
Yup!
You go girl!!
