What a patient and just adorable teacher you are. You are using my fav fabric. ❤️ 🤗 I like your tutorials better than Annie’s just saying. Don’t have that Template but I do have the one for making cozy bowls and I use that. ❤️ 🤗

Thank you so much for this video. I had some of the same issues as you and I'm not a great sewer and the other videos made me feel like I was missing something. It was very wonderful to just be encouraged to get the project done even if it isn't "perfect". I know have a finished project bag. 🎉

hi Holly, thank you so much for this video. you did a great job with the bag and with the video. I hope you do more like this one. It’s interesting. I saw this pattern on Etsy for three dollars and I messaged the seller asking her if it had been open because it was so cheap only to find out that is so cheap because it’s free at patterns by Annie 😮.
what a shame ! In any case, I want to make a bag like this one But I want a different size so I might end up doing the project bag as well but this is a great video for me as a beginning bag maker. I’ve only made one bag so far and it was the Ditty bag.
Please do more videos you are good at it , thanks again🤗

Hi Holly, your tutorial is very helpful. I'm not quite sure why the pattern suggests not to press the binding before attaching, but, it is what it is. I agree with you about adding a strip of fabric to the top and then sewing the zipper onto that. I too struggle with bindings. Personally, I wouldn't have rounded the corners, who needs that kind of pressure. I really should make a bunch of potholders with binding to practice on, but that day never seems to come. Besides, how many potholders does a person need. All in all, your bag looks lovely, you should be proud of it. Take care.

if you press it before you add the bias binding it can get screwy. i didn't believe the by annie tutorial and ironed it as i did all my life. i did my next one not ironing it and it worked. the by annie tutorials are fantastic and now i listen to her when she tell me something

Just finished watching. Love how it turned out. I’m going to make many for sure 2 of my greats ❤️ bags. Holly my sweet dear Holly, you are way to hard on yourself. When you were putting in zipper I’m yelling NO NO turn it over wrong side 😂 You know what I worry about when I’m sewing the binding on is what it looks like in the other side??? If I Stitch in the ditch on the side I just sewed down will it look better on other side. I mess myself up. I have never not ironed binding but will do as she says! Thanks Holly you are the very Best!! We ❤️ you

Beautiful bag. I love it and want it. Great job! You probably don’t need my suggestions but I’m going to chime in anyway 🙃. Regardless what the pattern says, I would press the binding and I use best press to make sure it stays flat. I also use a walking foot to keep all the layers feeding in at the same rate. Maybe consider using Elmers school glue to the binding when you top stitch it in place. You might need to use wonder clips to hold it in place until the glue drys as it would be difficult to iron dry. Use it sparingly on a project bag. It will wash out if you every wash it. Regardless your bag is Beautiful! Thank you for sharing!! ❤️❤️❤️. I think I want to watch this again before making one. Love, love it!

ok, I admit, the white zipper is iffy, howver, it would make a nice place to put a ribbon. I think there are even Tula Pink ribbons out there. Thank you for showing us, I think I can do this.

Thank You for the tutorial, Holly! I absolutely love that Tula Pink fabric! I have a yard of the exact same color you used, & I am going to have to see if I can get a piece of the other fabric that you used, because I love it! That was a great suggestion, to follow a line in the fabric when doing the quilting! Brilliant! Certainly does make it easier, & gave it a nice finish too!
I am just curious why you didn’t use the purple zipper again? Did it somehow get damaged in the first installation? I am going to try & make one, but I am going to have to figure out how to stabilizer the top on that netting fabric before I attach the zipper! Wish me luck!

Would the walking foot make it easier to put on the binding? I haven't made a ByAnnie bag but did make an Aneela Hoey bag that used vinyl - it was a bitch. I admire anyone with bag making skills - in her pattern she had you use a large spool of thread to round the corners - pretty sure she is certifiable.🤣
