A prime orlando/laker shaq would make Anthony davis and dwight howard look like boys. Even at their peeks or best day shaq would make a fool out of them.
ppl dont understand how fast and dominant shaq was in his early years, he use to kill all the top centers, sure he got scored on by sum, but he terrorized all of the centers, most theez young cats dont even remember the magic years, only laker years, this dude was the truth, pure power, dominant, speed, a real speciman, nobody in nba history cudve dealt wit this dude...
Best Center to ever play the game. I remember his first year in the league playing the pacers at home and destroying us. I was 11 and thought he was a superhero on the court dominated the boards free throws are his cyrptonite lol
Shaq's magic highlights to me are the best. This is when Shaq had the prime athleticism. He could run the floor and bring the ball down the court and his footwork was top notch. Most unguardable big man during this time.
Goose bumps. My favourite player ever together with MJ. If a new Shaq would play in the current NBA championship, he could win the ring alone. Dominant.
People said Shaq dominated weak competition. His best seasons were in Orlando. Shaq averaged 29.3 pts in both 1994, 1995 at ages 22 & 23 second in scoring in 94, and second in rebs 13.4 behind Rodman. First in scoring in 1995 while taking 18 shots a game Shaq was the man
The best Bigs played in Shaqs era.. Olajuwon, Robinson, Mutumbo, Mourning, B.Wallace, Ewing, Duncan played some 5, and the 4s included Rodman, KG, R.Wallace... By no means was his comp weak
Shaq came into the league when basketball was still a tough sport played by tough elite professionals, and he fit right in. Sadly a lot has changed since then.
Thank You couldn’t agree more. The game started changing for the worst, about 2010, and now it’s nothing but sissy ball 3 point shooting without hard defense.
I know I am oldman, why? because I watched alot of this plays live. He was my hero in Magic team!!!!!! ( by the way, his team was the only one that sent Michael Jordan´s Bulls to home!!!)
In the 90's and early 2000's, Shaq played against the greatest forwards and centers in their prime and was just unstoppable. Anyone who actually watched him dominate on the magic/lakers would understand.
um52 Shaq only play good competition when he was in the Orlando Magic uniform not the Lakers when he got with the Lakers there were no more big men who was good but Tim Duncan
Toadvine42 Mutombo was 36, he wasn't washed but he had no chance against Shaq. Stop with Ewing. He wasn't the same when Shaq went to LA. The Admiral turned 37 when Shaq went to LA too. I'll give you Duncan, Garnett and Zo. He lost against Ben Wallace thou, his only competition in the finals ever. The greatest centers played in the 60s and 90s, not in the 2000s.
Great great video of SHAQ!!! He was totally unstoppable to me!!! Those we're his best years when he was with the ORLANDO MAGIC!!! That's when I use to really love to watch him play basketball because he use to dominate every center in the NBA!!! No one could really stop him in the paint he would dunck on people left and right and made them look really stupid in the process!!! He was just unbelievable for a man his size!!! Best big man to ever play the game of basketball!!! I'm so glad I got to see him play in person in his rookie year against the SPURS right here in SAN ANTONIO and it was a he'll of a game!!! Once again great video!!! 👍👍👍
when he brought the backboard down w/ the shot clock hitting him, I thought to myself, "What madman let a terminator play in the NBA". Everyone in the NBA is a physical freak but hes the only guy who felt superhuman
For me this is best years of Shaq....FAST,FIT,STRONG....DID I SAY FAST! He was Yanis before him! And most important thing he was hungry for victories and enjoyed played game
In my opinion, the "Shaq and Penny" Magic teams not only were amazingly fun to watch, but they also had the coolest uniforms of all times. And during his time in Orlando, Shaq was a different species - so athletic and fast yet still strong. He was still great in LA, but I wish he never had put on all the extra weight, because he was so much more fun to watch in Orlando.
Imagine if he played in the social media era….. people go fucking crazy on how Zion is super athletic at 280 and 6’6 but this guy is damn 7’1 300+. Just imagine
Not the most technically sound player. But very skilled. Not as agile as a wilt, but very mobile for his size. Doesn’t have the range of a kg or Hakeem, but had amazing touch around the basket. Not the craziest footwork, but still very effective. A blend of skill, and absolutely unbelievable POWER. Down right illegal the way he played. Every move looked like an offensive foul, the way defenders bounced off him. He simply was a juggernaut. He could not be moved or stopped 1 v 1. The only ones that dared to try was Yao Ming and Olajuwon. Everyone else were BBQ chicken trying to contain the DIESEL.
I remember watching him break the goals (not the backboard but the steel structures) live while I was in college. Most athletic 7 footer I’ve ever seen by a mile. He could run with nba athletes who he outweighed by 100 lbs. Ridiculous. I really wish he had stayed in shape and with that body style his entire career.
first I'd just like to compliment you on using Miami Heat fonts. secondly, Shaquille O'Neal was a beast on the court. and a big ol sumbitch. for a man who idolized Julius Erving, he really showed what he could do
They don’t make em like this anymore. The modern nba is such a circus. Unbelievable offensive shooting talent and athleticism but that’s it. Once David stern the marketing machine changed the hand checking rule to increase offense because people were not watching as much the game started to become softer. Now it’s just a league of James hardens and steph currys chucking up threes all game and getting soft and one calls. No defense or pride at all at least most of them. I miss the lock down defense days and rivalries with the big cities. Bring back the 90s b-ball days please.
With right players he would have dominate today's nba and we could have watched the game we miss. Imagine this man against today's rockets. Even best defensive players Gobert Giannis Davis etc. has no chance. No one even close to his dominance.
'93-'96 Magic were some of the coolest teams ever.
My favorite NBA team were those teams along with the 92-95 Suns.
too bad Orlando is such a boring city that he left 😅
A prime orlando/laker shaq would make Anthony davis and dwight howard look like boys. Even at their peeks or best day shaq would make a fool out of them.
How does a human being like this even exist lol. Shaq will forever be the most dominant NBA player ever.

I agree. People forget how athletic he was early in his career. A lot of these clips show him running the floor.

Eddie G Shaq was at his best when he was in Orlando b/c he was so quick for his size
