The family is pronounced fal-ay-see-Ay. There are many other families of stinkhorn mushrooms. The area at the top of the mushroom is actually called the cap, containing the gooey spore mass which is called called the gleba. I know this isn’t the nicest thing to say, but why try and teach people about something you clearly just read a tiny bit about on the internet and have no substantial knowledge or personal experience/expertise about? You could always just share the organisms and have people appreciate their beauty.
Ah see, I do a whole lot of research, way more than I put in the video, however I make videos on tiktok, for an audience well proven to have shortened attention spans, so most of the research does not make it into the video, or else nobody would watch it. The information is pruned down to be easily digestible to an audience who may not have a scientific background, so only the most interesting parts make it in, so people of all levels of scientific understanding can learn some fun new facts :)
Must...resist...urge...to...
Id say it's about benign, maybe benign and a half.
Telling all my friends to look up this mushroom immediately, thank you for your work
Hell yes
