I have done some primal storms. I stopped pushing myself through the game, unlike the past. So, having these world events are awesome. Yes it takes longer to get everything, but I'm in no hurry.
Primal storms has actually been my main gearing path to get high enough to pug Normal raids. Not a mythic+ kind of player, so I've been very grateful for the 385 gear (esp since I've never had a tier set piece drop for me til now). Will be using these epic pieces for the catalyst this week.
if you ain't a raider or M+ player then what do you need 382+ gear for ? for world quests ? lol. why don't you just do a day's worth of BGs and get a full set of 411 honor gear instead ? that would actually help with your goal of doing WQs competitively in warmode :) Edit: you edited your comment from: "i'm not a raider or M+ player" to "get high enough to pug normal raids", hence my og response.
I've had the exact same experience and I've really liked it. Being able to gear up to 385 and now be able to get teir set peices with the new storms will be great. I LFR raid but I have the worst RNG ever especially with the new group loot.
@@MehrdadParthian 385 gear can make a decent difference in WQ. You are talking about a good amount of HP and faster kill times that make a player feel more powerful. Especially with how the scaling feels so awful from 68 to 70 feels versus leveling from 60-68. No need to get all persnickety over someone being happy over an alternate path to 380 gear.
@@MehrdadParthian lol why is it a problem for you? you arent going to be wanting a bunch of lowbies trying to get into your runs, you're gonna pug, so it's no concern for you. also world content is able to keep up with the gear into the 380s, so we want to feel a bit stronger in the overworld.
@@MehrdadParthian You're right, if you aren't an M+ player or raider, it doesn't really matter from a quantitative standpoint. But from a qualitative standpoint, even casuals that don't raid enjoy gear progression. In other words, regardless of if the progression is really necessary for that casual of a player or not, it's enjoyable.
Primal storms helped fill gaps in my gear on my main since my loot luck so far has been terrible on my main. For my alt each piece is a huge upgrade. Its a good thing and promotes group play. Remember, most wow players now arent raiders nor do they enjoy grinding out dungeons but they still want and should have a way to get and upgrade better gear.
100% agree i think primals should give higher itemlvl its doesnt hurt anyone if casuals have more gear and the tryhards have already 415+ so who cares not everyone is a 3k rio guy or has fully cleared mythic and btw those people dont care to much about super rares or events like this
@@dontreplytome5665 I’ve played since launch and didn’t do end game until ulduar came out. I stopped doing most end game content in SL and I only do LFR on DF. I can attest that it’s still enjoyable to get better gear.
Then "most WoW players" (not sure where you are getting that data, but sure...) should maybe find a different game. If that means the death of WoW, so be it. I'd rather see it die than see it get twisted into an "everybody gets a prize" treadmill. Rewards should require commensurate effort; rewards from raiding should not be given to M+ players. No one says this with regards to pvp players getting raid gear or raiders getting high level pvp gear so why do so many people think open world or m+ exclusive players are entitled to raid gear?
I have absolutely done primal storms! I don't do mythic raids- call me a casual, whatever, but that's not what I play for. But the chance to upgrade my pve gear to those levels just feels terrific. I feel like I have a chance to get better geared with a modest time expenditure and the manic fun when I find a group to join. It is one of my big plus marks for this expansion.
I love the primal storms. Very nice causal and reliable way to get some nice pieces of gear. And I like the causal and mindless cooperation just Aoeing everything down. 😄
I agree, and I think they are best done when they align with something else in the same area, Wrathion/Sabellian, Cobalt assembly faction, or just a world quest that overlaps so you can get multiple benefits at the same time.
Thank you for finally bringing up the wow experience when you don’t have active friends and guild , it’s an absolutely miserable experience and it’s frustrating , but it doesn’t help when blizzards post game has been 99% of the problem and that player base has been ignored to long
What’s your issue exactly? I haven’t been in a guild for years (since like cata or mop) and I pug ksm and aotc each tier (when I’m playing) I generally have a pretty ok time, I wouldn’t call it ideal 100% of the time but I definitely wouldn’t call it miserable, I play the game because I enjoy it after all Not saying you’re wrong, you feel how you feel, just curious is all.
@@peen2804 for me its depressing. No friends. Just running around in a city waiting for ques. Hoping to pug runs. Just to go back to loneliness. Depressing af man.
I loved the primal storms!! I didn’t receive any loot from raid until this past weekend. I have been doing a million mythic plus runs but haven’t gotten every gear slot yet! The 385 waist and pants I’m still using with the set bonus ! lol ❤ I’m at 391 level total - I see no point in farming every piece of gear from storms as they’re time gated but it definitely helped me gear up ⬆️
I do believe the crafting system also needs more clarity. For example, i had a weapon recrafted to 418, and the crafter told me he had a 30% proc chance. he recrafted it a total of 15 times, and never got it to 418. he was max skill in the profession, but i have no idea if i was incredibly unlucky, if he lied about his proc chance, or if he lied about even being able to proc. there's no way to know if you don't fully understand what determines proc chance
Primal Storms are great, especially as a learning tool. It’s a dynamic way for me to practice my rotation, CDs, etc., to get ready for higher mythics. Target Dummies are good, but this is more active and I love it.
Yes - I was doing Primal Storms to get me to 385 ilvl overall but once I was doing mythic 9+ keys I stopped doing them. It’s great for casuals or people that want to do world content or transmog hunters and not raid or do dungeons
I really really want them to go back to not depleting keys if you don't finish the dungeon. It won't remove griefing but at least your key isn't shot. And when you want to practice and get better it gives you the option to try stuff like in raid.
I’ve used the primal storms a lot to fill in gear gaps and reach certain ilvls to get into LFR or accepted into mythic+ groups on my alts. It has been a reliable and relatively quick process to get a few 385 pieces. It’s definitely not quick if you plan to get all primal gear, but is definitely nice to have something not based on random chance.
Good ideas overall. YES I do the elemental invasions every week on my main because I like clearing my quest log, but I haven't gotten anything out of it yet.
@@UltimateGamerCC Everything I said is the truth. I don't mind people playing - but these are reasons I don't. That's why I said "I personally" hate it.
I like the idea of a time-based cataclysm expansion. One that repairs the current zones which are still in the Cataclysm era into normalcy similar to Vanilla. Then, time-based alternate timelines are instanced on top of these zones where all the wack and epic stuff happens. That solves the problem of everything constantly being on fire while at the same time keeping the content ever-green.
As a solo returning player, your points explain so much of why I've been feeling burnt out already. If I'm forced to pug, I don't want to feel as though I'm holding back the group. I've never done mythic plus, but I don't even know if I'm capable of doing them, I play a C or D tier spec, I see people in guild chat complaining about people ruining their keys and that's the last thing I want to do. I've pretty much turned my attention to old content and I'll hop on the Dragonflight train when it doesn't feel as... gate kept.
The community thing is real. My brother was tanking in *LFR* and got kicked because we wiped *once* on the spider boss because *the other tank* fell off. It was just one guy and his friends that were being dickheads about it, but basically everyone in na will automatically hit accept if there's a kick vote. These guys were bringing up people's M+ ratings in LFR...
Primal storms have been a wonderfully consistent way for me to get gear. It's not the only way I've gotten gear of course, but it's a reliable way to get upgrades or fill in a specific slot that you're interested in and I'm definitely a big fan of them!
To me the primal storms are a fine way to quickly gear alts if you don't have a guild to run a bunch of mythics as soon as you hit 70, besides they have weapons to trade which are some times hard to find at a high level.
I do primal storms. I'm only very casually progressing mythic keys and raiding, so the storm sigil gear actually gives me a way to target gear slots for upgrades when the vault or the dungeon don't provide for me. And it's a decent way to catch up on alts here and there
No primal storms here, but 70% of my time is spent doing pvp and the other 30% is professions and/or reputations. There's been several weeks where I don't even bother with the world quests or profession stuff and I just fill out my vault and get conquest cap and log out until the following reset. That might come off as derogatory, but I've not had a bit of anxiety about NOT logging into wow every day because I might miss something and instead when I do have the time to play (maybe 10 total hours a week on average) I'm excited to do so.
I also think adding 10man mythic raids will be a big plus, does not matter if the balance is off compared to 20. Top guilds will do anything they can to progress and it will not change, but for small guilds or for people that don't like to manage 30 ppl for raiding this will give something to do until next raid instead of quitting or pausing the game.
I'm hoping for Netherwing representation. Maybe Sabellian sponsors a Netherwing delegation and Alex thinks it's one of his old schemes but it's more him paying back for thier friendship
Yes, Primal Storms are fun. I used them to fill out a few missing slots of gear, and I'm going to use them more to get tier appearances. I wouldn't mind some extra structured content in them, but the simple nature of them is fun at-your-own-pace content for world players.
The main problem with class/spec balance right now is that most people go look up a cookie-cutter build online and only do that, and when Blizz tries to buff the less used talents/spells/abilities, people all decry "what a pointless buff, nobody takes that or casts that!" without even trying it and without stopping to consider _that is the exact reason they're buffing those things_ I've always been a fan of "buff the underperformers" over "nerf the overperformers" (except in extreme circumstance, like the Prot Warrior debacle), so I always love to see devs buff under-utilized things. Then there's further problems caused by the players because they refuse to change or adapt or even try the changes, the devs see the numbers don't change and keep buffing it, and then suddenly it hits a point where the other thing's been buffed so much it's now way too strong and overly dominates everything. If the players can instantly analyze "this buff adds 10% damage to this ability, and that ability contributes X% of this spec's damage, so the buff actually only adds this much overall", then the devs should already have that info and know exactly how that buff will actually work out (while only missing the bit where even if it is theoretically a worthwhile buff, the players just staunchly refuse to even try it out because "it's not _already_ meta so it won't change anything")
I've been doing the Primal Storms, since I'm not really into the raid or dungeon content. I've used it to get a couple of 385 pieces of gear myself. I'm happy with the additional world content Blizzard has added with Dragon Flight since that's what I engage with the most. I wouldn't mind some faster acquisition, but also recognize it's not challenging in the same way as raids or dungeons.
I think work orders should have been focused around consumables, NOT on gear. Sure, have gear be a part of it, but the primary thing crafters should be doing is work orders for consumables, potions, drums, food, enchants and the like. And there should be less stuff on the AH that is craftable. I mean how do you create a "looking for crafter" system and then put 80-90% of all crafted things on the AH instead of locking them to the "looking for crafter" system that you made. It just seems counterintuitive.
I have literally never seen a 382 from world quests show up on any of my toons and all I do is world content. Now I have gotten multiple 382-385 pieces from rares and a 389 staff on two characters from Primal Storm rare/boss. As someone with all classes at cap I run the primal storms all the time for gear and there are always multiple raid groups farming them. With that said I do find the upgrade currency being capped annoying I don't think it was ever meant to be gear you chase more so gear to fill gaps.
Yeah I've engaged with a decent few Primal Storms. Though it has been almost exclusively for the Tmog pieces (of which I finished the plate set + 2-h sword.) I've not found it *too* useful for my own alts, but that's just because I'll jump right into dungeons and LFR once I hit 70.
My worst experience in this expansion: My Demon Hunter was in Court of Stars during weekly maintenance. That was a week ago today. Ever since then every time I try to log on to it; after a lengthy loading screen I get the message, "World server is down". I have tried all the steps that where provided to me by the automated support system, reset UI, run repair on launcher, uninstalled addon managers, nothing worked. Even the automatic character stuck service didn't work, it found my character selected it, but when it was time to move him to a safe location so I can log in again I got the message, "Oops something went wrong". And underneath that message was another one saying, "If the problem persists open a ticket or contact us". The problem here is that there is no way to contact them as there is no email, phone number, or a way to open a ticket like the old days. Now after a week of being trapped with the automated support system, which considers its failed attempts to unstuck my character as "resolved", I am quite angry... To the point where I used the support system to ask for a refund, I should mention that a week prior to the incident I had purchased a yearly sub. To my refund request the automated system informed me that I cannot ask for a refund after 72 hrs, after which I pressed the button for appeal and lo and behold I now have an open ticket. I'm 39yrs old I grew up with this company, this game, but if they treat me like this... fuk em.
Primal Storms have, for me, been a way of getting an item or two - usually when beginning to gear up a bit. I'm a solo player, relatively speaking, so it's great for doing something that's community based but there are few people doing it on my server, so its extremely slow and difficult much of the time. I usually dip in and out, especially when area objectives line up - such as a storm area up on the Obsidian Citadel.
Crafting respec maybe only once per week? That way you can fix it if you do something incorrect but still keep people from spending to do specific tasks. Also add in a way to work with the talent points without activating them
I did primal storms to get a shoulder piece for an alt because none were dropping for her from dungeons and I wanted to get into lfr. Edited to add my worst experiences: My biggest, and longest standing complaint, is slow gearing. I often get repeat pieces if I do get loot (dungeons) or I get two or three good upgrade options once (from Vault) and all the subsequent weeks are, again, repeat pieces or for slots where I already have better. I would LOVE some kind of intelligent looting that would limit a player from getting pants five vaults in a row or the same necklace off the same boss every time you get into a dungeon. It's extremely frustrating when you're spamming dungeons to get one item, like my character I mentioned above, and you only get what you already have. Also, as far as community goes. I'm older, all my friends have long since left wow. I don't have the core group to do content with anymore. I am a very social person so, yes, I have tried to join new guilds, make new friends, etc, but I'm constantly coming into situations where new friends get tired of the game a few weeks after I befriend them and they leave or the bigger guilds for M+/raiding have their core group/preferred players and it's hard to get into groups to gear or learn. It's like puging in your own guild. It's not fun. I heal, I hate healing. I do it because I'm good at it and I don't get complaints from randos. I want to bear tank. I've never done it before. God forbid I go in as a new tank and try to learn, because the toxicity is hell. If I didn't have RP I would have left this game in bfa. Sometimes I wish I had, because the core mechanics of the game: raiding (which I did all through wrath and cata) and M+ are either too hard to get into long standing groups or simply toxic as shit.
Personally I couldn't care less about dungeons or mythic + stuff, but I have noticed my fire mage (who I have mained through Legion, BFA, Shadowlands) seems to be really poor at killing things. I decided to switch my main to Blood DK. I have seen my ice mage (yes I have two level 70 mages, I'm an altoholic) kill things easier and faster than my fire mage, which is very strange to me. It looks like the fire and ice spells do similar damage but the plus is the ice damage can freeze the mob in place and not threaten my life. Fire usually kills things just as they get within range of hitting me, but not lately. Ice kills by keeping them from getting near and doing the same damage as fire, thus fire mage is getting hit more compared to ice. So my fire mage seems to be less powerful than my ice mage, which is weird to me.
What needs to be fixed is Prot War in PVP, if you take away 50% survivability why not increase DPS 50% and add a little magic resistance? I love sword and board, and want to play it in PVP.
Part of my problem with the valor cap is there is also a cap on how high you can upgrade your gear based on your score (which is fine), I think there should be one or the other, not both?
I personally think one of the biggest issues with wow right now that isn't talked enough about is the lack of account wide reputation gains, I personally like to play multiple characters, and I don't want to have just one main character, and its frustrating when I have to grind reputation on one character even if i'm not enjoying that class at the moment, I really wish you could grind reps and renown across different characters just so the game doesn't get boring, it also makes it better for legacy content. I joined wow about a year ago and I really like doing legacy content, but its really hard because of my play-style, I just personally wish more things were account wide were in the game, and I hope that even currencies become account wide.
Yeah it’s possible they go this route in the future but they need to add all this limitations to make sure you can’t get rep multiple times for the same content on different characters if it’s shared. There’s probably a rift though, where some players want rep to be account bound and other players want to keep it separate so they have something to do on their alts.
@@no-budhee6657 yeah no that’s exactly what I think as well. Like certain things that are repeatable give rep rewards only give the rep to one character aka only obtainable once per account until it resets or like how every world quest usually is in the same spot across the board and they only give rep rewards once per account until reset. It would make things so much easier and just much more streamlined in the end for people that like to do multiple characters. And it would make doing rep grinds like cobalt and wrathion so much bearable.
I've done some primal storms. Helped me get some gear I was missing, I don't have time more often than not to jump into an instance so it's nice to have something I can do in the short time I have to get gear I need.
I wore two pieces of 385 primal storm gear for a long time. The two set makes up for the relatively low ilvl, especially earlier in the patch and on alts.
Blizzard wants players pugging to have bad experiences. This is intended to "encourage" them to stop pugging. It is social engineering at work attempting to change the playerbase to fit their vision of what the future playerbase should be. Changes to end content since BfA have been designed to make pugging harder to do. They want players to have to reroll regularly. That will give a big boost to players who are good at picking up a new spec/class, and put those who cling to their favorite down at the bottom. It will also eliminate players being attached to their long-term main, which will interfere with the complete transformation of the game to esports. Don't assume that all of this is an oversight. All working as intended. Why is there such a wide difficulty gap in dungeons? Lack of pre-testing. Testing is expensive. Letting the players test on live and then reacting to what they find is now the norm. When Blizzard says one thing (catalyst was too slow in SLs) yet repeats their mistake, maybe they didn't think it was a mistake and they were lying.
Hey man! Yeah i have done primal storm....but mainly for the mount and pet, also helping my wife with a piece to replace a low ilv one. About the quests and WQ ideas, i defnetly think the only thing we need is to have diversity (on WQ and World Events). When you say "Side quests that take a whole evening, all i can think is Lucid Nightmare and Leggo BFA Cloak.... and that for me is a Big No No hahahahaha
As a HC raider I feel forced to do M+ because that's where all my BIS will come from as the barrier to entry on Mythic Raiding is far and beyond too high, IMO they should make gear of HC raids be the max Cap and match the M+ 20 in vault loot at the very least so that I as a Raider don't feel a need to sweat out M+ Dungeons every week for a full row of 421 ilvl stuff in my vault which is easier then clearing the HC raid with a pug since you don't need to time the 20's, let say I was slightly worse then I could do 16-18's and it would still be better then my raiding gear + I also get the Mythic Crafting Material from M+ but not from the final few bosses of HC raid, game currently is very unfair gearing for HC raiders.
I'm farming storms every once in a while to farm for the mount. That's about it. After that, I MIGHT go back for a few pieces of equipment here and there.
Expansion pros: several good lore quests (both main and side); dragonflying. Cons: professions; group loot; many of the same uninspired, trope-y quests as every expansion before; events that feel like useless, boring time-sinks (looking at you soup); new race/class; dragonflying. I fell for the hype prior to the expansion’s release and resubbed, and while I’ve had some fun with certain elements and a few specific quest lines, I’ll be dropping my sub in the coming months (most likely).
Primal Storms - I just started doing them on my alts, as I dont enjoy Mythic Plus on alt characters, so it does help me get them some gear and it seems they are really popular whenever I am doing them with tons of others. For people who do Mythic or Hard Raiding, it's really not for them, its for people who want to gear up without LFR or Mythic Dungeons and then can easily shift into a normal raid later. - Also if your an Insight of the Blue Enchanter, you can get 12 skill points (One elemental DE Drop from each storm) once per character.
I've done primal storms, but only as an incidental objective: if there's something else that I want in the area (world quest, world boss, etc.) then I'll stop by and farm for 15 minutes until I've got enough elemental overflow for the weekly quest. But I'm not putting any more effort into it than that.
I've used Primal Storm content to fill out gaps in gear, I've bought 385 upgrades to 360ish blues that just don't seem to get an upgrade dropped the only advantage is that you can CHOOSE slot rather than being awarded randomly
I'm a casual and don't do M+ or anything past Raid Finder-so Primal Storms, crafting and world quests are a primary source of gear. Out of all of those sources, Primal storms are by far the best source for 'consistency'. Why? I know what my cap is every week so I can plan on which gear I need to get at the end of the week- to fill in the 'holes' of the other sources. Crafted gear is basically time gated due to limited resources; raid finder gear can't be counted on and world quest drop gear is SO terrible if you are at a low iLevel- it's rare to get a world quest piece that is higher than what you already have since it is pacing your own iLevel. Add to that? The world mini bosses drop iLevels are so randomized... I mean you can get lucky with a 389 piece- or can just as easily get the same item the next day at 376! NO consistency.
Primal storms are a solid option for the casual player. It’s target farmable and mindless rather than having a blueprint to max your gains. I’m using them for my alts
Primal storms and trophy of strife gear between raid finder and normal got me into heroic raids in like 2-3x weeks of playing so I’d say it’s really nice to have, but I think they need to let you upgrade it further with valor or something
We do a lot of primal storms. The cap is unneeded, it would be a perfect option to gear up for m+ or normal raids. It's a good for some minor upgrade solutions currently.
I've only done primal storms when it was convenient to do it and actually remembered it. Which is like- being done with all my daily activity and happen to fly over one
I can't for the life of me understand how this crafting change is considered widely as a good thing. I'm quite well aware I'm in the minority here, but I hate it. Makes me want to skip the Dragon Isle professions for characters I haven't already gotten them.
The two biggest issues with professions are inspiration (RNG has no place in crafting) and the work order system (it's a convoluted barrier that a great number of people refuse to interact with)
i’m glad they are doing things within the game so quickly and being more aggressive about the patch cycles offering new content. I was a little irked by the fact that I basically lost all of Tuesday because when they did 10.05 patch it broke bartender four and sexy map. I have my UI set up where I keep everything on the bottom row so that way I can see the whole upper screen. And the way I have my screen resolution set up with sexy map broken my neat medium square on the bottom, right corner of the screen got turned into this giant ugly circle.
yeah, some scraping mechanism to get back the spark, primal infusion, catalyst and some primal chaos would be so so good. as well as monthly profession respec. and no weekly gate for primal storms elite currency - just make it one per storm.
Primal storms seems a bit weird. The only reason I did it is to farm the transmog. The actual usefulness of the gear is pointless and upgrading it to 389 seems inefficient. Perhaps its just for people who want to top up their gear if they're missing a particular piece. And the storms not being up all the time limits when I can actually farm it. That said I don't necessarily mind the small content and reward updates from the vendor for 10.0.5
I did a couple of the primal storms, mainly because I was trying to farm an enchanting recipe to level up from 75-100. TLDR I never got one of those enchants. If I am flying over an area where a boss happens to be up I will stop to tag it, or if I have a professional quest in one of the storm areas I'll do it there. However, I usually don't bother with them because they are more or less pointless for me. I also never used them as a means to gear up on my main.
SV Hunter honestly gets overshadowed because of the insanity that is the Ras bow. Literally could be buffed till it’s competitive with all melees, but a similar ilvl Hunter with even the entry level Ras how would outdps them. Personally I’ve just become my guild’s SV mascot since we can’t get the bow and we keep getting Polearms. I’m topping a pot of single target focused fights, with my main weakness being I can’t cleave as efficiently. But if I get the bow, kinda should just switched back to ranged
I've been enjoying the expansion - however I've felt somewhat frustrated at the need to 'mindlessly' grind for rep to do the campaign quests. I enjoy some of the world quests, but I'm constantly doing the same ones for valdrakken rep to play the story. Perhaps I'm missing something, but I've been a little burned out over that and have lately been playing other games instead.
primal storms helped also with gearing. the biggest beef i have is once you kill the boss dragon there tends to be no loot drop. world quests sometimes don't seem to work. last week issue with logging into the game seem to reduce world quest gear score.
Primal storm are good for alts, for getting a weapon and 2-set. However you could just skip them and jump into m+2 and LFR to gear them. In one day I went from 340 to 380 with an alt.
I'd say so far, my biggest complaints is the new need/greed system I think Need should be disabled if you dont have your loot spec set for certain things IE healing or ele trinkets while specced and spec specialization set for enhancement. Everyone is just going to hit need when its available to select. I personally only need on items I actually need. Either that or have a boost to rolls in said spec. My other complaint is randomly getting gear that I can't use that is bop. Feels weird to just have to vendor it. I want a glyph to allow my dracthyr to stay in visage form. Why can't I use my other flying mounts like dragon flight where it makes sense? Why can't I use dragon flight everywhere that I can fly or let those mounts function like normal flying mounts outside of those areas?
I am a casual player with an army of alts and no friends who doesn't really like forming serious groups. I have used elemental storms to gear all of my 13 alts for the raidfinder. Elemental storms allow me to take a fresh 70 to IL 359 in less than an hour for almost no gold.
I've been doing the Primal Storms World content to gear my alts with the ilvl 385 gear. However, as my alts have been gaining renown with the four major factions, I have already been replacing the ilvl 385 Primal Storm gear with the ilvl 389 renown gear. If Blizzard wants the Primal Storms to continue to be beneficial for players to participate in, then they need to add additional rewards. I don't know what value the gear will still have once 10.1 launches, even for new players.
The only reason I did storms is because I hit a wall with my main already since I'm not in a guild and Im pugging pushing over 15 keys now. Decided to make a resto druid and had nothing to do so I ran the storms and farmed cobalt assembly. Before that I hadn't stepped foot into either. But I guess if I had a masters in World of Warcraft raiding and 40 years experience with 10 references then I wouldn't have even done that because I would have been worthy of an invite to heroic Vault past Eranog.
I had and still have the same feeling about wow community being toxic. I encountered greediness and being punished for being a casual player in pug groups and as a response I stopped playing the game for a while because even though I liked it I would remember thst everything I do as a casual, I am not welcomed in groups, or as I don't have tons of gold for items and stuff, I am not worthy of obtaining them and I felt disappointed. Lately, I have met good people also, who are willing to help and are being nice and that restored some faith in the community but overall it is still a toxic community and I don't think that will change no matter what. People throwing hate at each other in groups.. Man that's not what you want to experience when you play a game. You want to have some good time I don't know, why bring the hate everywhere. I know we're all frustrated and hurt and so on but being like that in a game that is supposed to relief you from some stress (as a casual at a least) isn't pleasant at all
I think one thing they could really do is to make the "consolation" prize in the vault each week was an item that raised your M+ Gear by a single rank, but also could be used to raise it past your current score cap. This would help guarantee that each week you at least got something that was an upgrade from the vault, and would encourage players to use their valor to pump a piece of gear before using the token to raise it further than they naturally had unlocked.
I think biggest problem with dragonflight is the monthly cost. just not worth it to pay $15 every month for a game as a casual who is having a ton of fun but has higher priority $$$$
In my opinion Artisans Consortium rep is weirdly timegatey, especially for later starters like myself. When I realised how slow knowledge gains were I remembered that you could buy knowledge from artisans and looked into how to quickly catch up on their rep - which you can't. Even using contract it will take ages. I tried to do storms as well but currency is really slow and in the areas with tons of elites I struggle with badly geared alts since there are no other people there to team up with. Maybe they can offer more rewards to get even those who won't need the currency to participated and then maybe do a buff on currency drops for all or for players with a lower than xx ilvl
Now that they've unlocked m+ gear upgrades based on rating, I'd have to disagree with "a +15 should be pretty much the same difficulty" like... Nothing is keeping you from rolling a lower HoV to get your trinket and then valor farming to upgrade it. I love that the dungeons have diverse difficulty and that you don't need a 15 of each to get KSM, you can push the easy keys and sweat the harder keys etc
I've been looking over my keys on raider io and there are some really interesting differences when you look at key lv as a world rank. For I have a key in the top 78,000. It's a timed 16 vault run. now compare that to the timed 18 cos run, 147,000 or the two chested 17 shadowmoon burial ground 250,000. I feel like the numbers are pretty clear. People are running cos and sbg. Then rolling their keys until they get another cos or sbg. It's not great when you look at how hard vault, rlp and noruke are. I like running keys, but I do not enjoy timing a key feeling great and looking at a vault key and knowing its a bricked key.
regarding storms: i'm at ilvl 395 mostly because my belt and shoes are 385 storm legendaries that just sim a lot better than any of the BiS upgrades. no matter what combinations I try. so i think people are underestimating the loot and set bonuses a bit
The bugs! Nodes disappearing as you get to them, floating in the sky, or in a rock or tree. The darn gnoll quest in the middle of Southern azure running off as you almost kill them. Random DCs for everyone! With how nice this xpac overall is for alts and doing whatever, the bugs are murder.
The storms have helped fill gaps in my alts gear to be honest. We have all been in that place of "I've ran this 10 times and the one time the bracers dropped a hunter trolled!" ...etc :D
Yes. I did the storms but just to fill out low leveled pieces. But for a few weeks now my level has been higher than it and I've only done the storms in the large groups that make the grind go super fast.
Dragonflight is awesome but as someone that unfortunately need to use group finder for raids and m+, this is where the toxicity Blizzard needs to deal with. Just that itself makes me say : '' alright, no more WoW for today ''
Problem is it's not always the Damage/Healing with these specs... it's just some specs are shit to play. SV has been dogshit for years now and Balance hasn't been fun since cata/legion.
I have done a few Primal Storms however I was kinda hoping that the currency is tradeable to alts. Like I have more enjoyment just mindlessly grinding on my Main instead of an alt. Sometimes the Primal Storms aren't always available during times when I do get to be online.

What've your pain points been so far, and how do you think they could be resolved? Here's to a bright future for Dragonflight!
Will be using these epic pieces for the catalyst this week.
if you ain't a raider or M+ player then what do you need 382+ gear for ? for world quests ? lol. why don't you just do a day's worth of BGs and get a full set of 411 honor gear instead ? that would actually help with your goal of doing WQs competitively in warmode :)
Edit: you edited your comment from: "i'm not a raider or M+ player" to "get high enough to pug normal raids", hence my og response.
100% agree i think primals should give higher itemlvl its doesnt hurt anyone if casuals have more gear and the tryhards have already 415+ so who cares not everyone is a 3k rio guy or has fully cleared mythic and btw those people dont care to much about super rares or events like this
But why do you need gear if you don't plan on doing endgame content?
@@dontreplytome5665 to do big dam
I didnt even know this was a thing I only started playing this expansion last week. Is it random item drops from mobs?
I forgot Primal Storms existed until this video.
@@EclipseWarlord I don’t even know where these things happen?
Thank you for finally bringing up the wow experience when you don’t have active friends and guild , it’s an absolutely miserable experience and it’s frustrating , but it doesn’t help when blizzards post game has been 99% of the problem and that player base has been ignored to long
gave up myself. been visiting private servers of my fave xpacs and have not been disappointed
What’s your issue exactly? I haven’t been in a guild for years (since like cata or mop) and I pug ksm and aotc each tier (when I’m playing) I generally have a pretty ok time, I wouldn’t call it ideal 100% of the time but I definitely wouldn’t call it miserable, I play the game because I enjoy it after all
Not saying you’re wrong, you feel how you feel, just curious is all.
@@peen2804 for me its depressing. No friends. Just running around in a city waiting for ques. Hoping to pug runs. Just to go back to loneliness. Depressing af man.
Primal storms are pretty cool! I still go there just for transmog and for the achievement. I loved it!
Had almost the same issue, had a proc on 12th time or so. Would be good if we see the proc chances when we create an order to a specific person.
Primal Storms are great, especially as a learning tool. It’s a dynamic way for me to practice my rotation, CDs, etc., to get ready for higher mythics. Target Dummies are good, but this is more active and I love it.
Really good point -- this would be a great way to try out new builds!
I actually really liking this expansion, and I'm passionate about the game, I know they're going on to the right path.

Survival hunter here! Lol
With my guild its been a fun time. Haven't really plugged a whole lot. Max key is just 13 atm
Primal Storms were useful when I needed a filler piece. But their extremely low iLvl makes them replaceable extremely quickly.
Yeah, that sounds like LFR experience. I hate that too. I mean at least as a tank you have instant queue for almost everything.
lmao, in lfr (europe) it's just wildly hitting the boss and if someone wipes us we re-explain it all
Primal storms have been a wonderfully consistent way for me to get gear.
I like primal storms, helped my "backlog" alts be raid ready if needed for the little time is needed to get a piece of gear
Yes, Primal Storms are fun. I used them to fill out a few missing slots of gear, and I'm going to use them more to get tier appearances.
I wouldn't mind some extra structured content in them, but the simple nature of them is fun at-your-own-pace content for world players.
The main problem with class/spec balance right now is that most people go look up a cookie-cutter build online and only do that, and when Blizz tries to buff the less used talents/spells/abilities, people all decry "what a pointless buff, nobody takes that or casts that!" without even trying it and without stopping to consider _that is the exact reason they're buffing those things_
I've always been a fan of "buff the underperformers" over "nerf the overperformers" (except in extreme circumstance, like the Prot Warrior debacle), so I always love to see devs buff under-utilized things.
The biggest flaw in wow right now is that the old druid travel form was taken out in 9.2.5? and we don't have a glyph to get it back yet.
My worst experience in this expansion:
My Demon Hunter was in Court of Stars during weekly maintenance.
I did the primal storms at launch to fill missing gear spots, but now that I've got the all the base transmog and the mount, I haven't touched them
Crafting respec maybe only once per week?
Sometimes I wish I had, because the core mechanics of the game: raiding (which I did all through wrath and cata) and M+ are either too hard to get into long standing groups or simply toxic as shit.
all of this. nailed it.
Absoluty agree. Renown items being soulbound feels like such a loud slap in the face.

@@Alin_canesu YEs, now that i already crafted or dropped mine from mythics and the raid...
I have, collecting sigils, only to find out today that you can get the sigil quest, but the vendor doesn't sell gear anymore.
They need a 2's and 3's pve challenge experience.
That also rewards high level gear
The scenarios and heroic scenarios from MoP were great for that, since they weren't balanced around needing a tank or healer, if I remember right.
I've been doing Primal Storms for enchanting recipes, mainly, but it's actually pretty decent for alts.
I do primal storms to fill gaps between dungeons and raids. It also helped fill out slots early on for gear.
I’m running several alts so the primal events are somewhat useful, especially for filling gaps with lower alts
OMG, no mention of Tuskarr Tackle Boxes.
I've used Primal Storm content to fill out gaps in gear, I've bought 385 upgrades to 360ish blues that just don't seem to get an upgrade dropped
the only advantage is that you can CHOOSE slot rather than being awarded randomly
The two biggest issues with professions are inspiration (RNG has no place in crafting) and the work order system (it's a convoluted barrier that a great number of people refuse to interact with)
I did primal storms for my alts for only a few pieces of gear not as a full gearing method and i think it works out pretty well
i’m glad they are doing things within the game so quickly and being more aggressive about the patch cycles offering new content.
I have done primal storms, but they're absolutely miserable to do. The currency feels too slow.
Primal storms pretty ok way to gear a fresh 70 alt without needing to ask guildies for m+ or raid carries. It’s also to just collect transmog gear.
YES. I do the storm with most of my smaller ilvl chars, and sometimes it's also fun/relaxing + I always find people for them. (EU-Draenor)
I think biggest problem with dragonflight is the monthly cost. just not worth it to pay $15 every month for a game as a casual who is having a ton of fun but has higher priority $$$$
especially since you play private servers for free
In my opinion Artisans Consortium rep is weirdly timegatey, especially for later starters like myself. When I realised how slow knowledge gains were I remembered that you could buy knowledge from artisans and looked into how to quickly catch up on their rep - which you can't. Even using contract it will take ages.
I tried to do storms as well but currency is really slow and in the areas with tons of elites I struggle with badly geared alts since there are no other people there to team up with. Maybe they can offer more rewards to get even those who won't need the currency to participated and then maybe do a buff on currency drops for all or for players with a lower than xx ilvl
ngl it is a bit slow, Contracts are so needed even if they are only giving 15 per WQ bi-weekly.
I used Primal Infused with 2-piece to fill out before getting my 4-piece, they are VERY useful
I have done a few Primal Storms however I was kinda hoping that the currency is tradeable to alts. Like I have more enjoyment just mindlessly grinding on my Main instead of an alt. Sometimes the Primal Storms aren't always available during times when I do get to be online.
The biggest pain of the primal storms is, big groups and those few ppl that wont stay with the group so the spawns take longer
Loot in raid groups is dog shit. Stick to 5s, or start/join a 2x4
