Thanks Chris...my tip if you're not too coordinated like me is to always raise the clips AFTER you raise the blind. Can't tell ya how many times I lifted the clips, raised the blind and then out and down she comes!

Now it isn't such a daunting task. The window replacement people won't do it - they said I had to do it. I even gave them my "I'm 70 years old and not as strong as I used to be" routine.

Question,
Could metal mini blinds be spray painted?
I have large triangle shaped 70's brown metal Levolor blinds and don't want to get custom cut $1,500 blinds installed.
I mentioned to my wife we should spray paint them white but not sure about it, don't want them to start scratching up after 6 months of use.😒
Don't think it needs sanding because the sun has bleached away any gloss it had so it may have enough tooth. as is.
the blinds never go up or down just twist the rod for light so maybe it'll not scratch. ...much!

I don't have Levelor blinds, but I felt that it would "snap off" when I pushed one of the brackets back, and it worked.Idk what kind of ancient vertical blinds I had when I bought the house, but I wanted to take them off for eons. Back patio door. An eyesore with missing slats that would fall off with the least amount of a breeze, and would always get stuck that I could never get truly clean. For years I had the remaining 20 or so slats pushed to the side and secured them with a rubber band.Watched your video, they are OFF and replaced with good old washable, fashionable, thermal curtains. .
