Hello! I have a 2014 Ford Focus SE Hatchback, and I'm having trouble with the fan not coming on, I replaced the fan with the control module and
temperature sensor, tested the relay and the # 32 fuse and all ok, any advice would be appreciated.

I would first run power and ground directly to the fan, make sure it is working. Next, check your power and ground out of the module and at the connection to the module.

Question: No DTCs, 2012 Focus, I took my car out yesterday, and 2, 4, 6 gears were missing. I turned the car off, restarted it, and they were shifting normal again. Same thing today. So this is intermittent without and codes being thrown. I performed a clutch actuator test with my scanner, but it would not complete and said "clutch position ramp loop failure." Where would you go next in the diagnostic procedure? Have you personally come across this issue? Obviously, I am thinking possibly TCM or actuator starting to fail, but... Thank you, Ben!

@Nothingman88 hey, I would move the bottom actuator up top and likewise for the top one. And see if it becomes a problem with the 1 3 5 gears instead. If so replace the actuators. Otherwise tcm

@@BigBensCarsAndCycles Thank you Big Ben! Yes, I was thinking that. I should be able to verify this by checking 5v supply and ground, both at the actuator and the tcm, no? If it is in a state where it is not shifting, and it is a good ground and 5v, then wouldn't that rule out the tcm (all though there are the hall effect and phase wires, and maybe that could also impact the actuator)?

Can you vacuum bleed out the air from the line as well?

i have codes p286f and po7a3 car will not start unless in neutral. terrible shifting in 1st gear, slight jerk in 2nd gear, will over heat in 3rd gear and will not shift. In limp mode and no power when accelerating. any help?

@oldxoul hi, it sounds like a full clutch job is needed. If thats already been done, you can try swapping the top and bottom actuators to see if the codes change to clutch B to confirm actuator failure

@ ok cool. I was thinking the tcm since the no start, but idk. Thanks though i’ll give it a try.

You would think Ford engineers could design a simple way to bleed a clutch in a Ford Ranger. If you put a bleeder on a system, it should work! But it doesn't. And even having the throwout bearing in the bellhousing is a stupid idea. So I just stop putting clutches in Fords all together,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
