At one time, Warsaw was the residence of Polish kings, Lithuanian princes, the capital of the Polish kingdom during the existence of the Russian Empire. During World War II, the city was completely destroyed and then rebuilt according to the surviving architectural drawings. The Old Town of Warsaw is included in the UNESCO heritage list, although it was restored almost from scratch according to the murals of the 17th century. According to legend, the name of the city comes from the merger of two names. The young fisherman Wars fell in love with a mermaid named Sava and took her as his wife. Since then, the Mermaid has been the symbol of the city.

One of the worst, most ugly cities in Europe. Rat Race, Everybody hurries somewhere, a lot ot huge building, zero green places in centrum etc etc.

Warsaw is one of the most beautiful European cities with incomparable architecture, remember that this magnificent city was 80% destroyed during the Second World War and completely rebuilt for many years after the war by its valiant inhabitants.

@aryastark772 I'm currently living in Plymouth, and the entirety of what was left of the city centre was pulled down for dull modernist architecture. The Polish have put us to shame in that regard.
