    Super cool design. Glad someone came out with a shock thats more like a fuill size shock. The reason there is no air bladder is because there is an actual IFP like in a full size shock. The piston in the reservoir you are referring to is what would be the dividing piston or IFP in a full size shock. As the shock compresses, the shaft displaces fluid, which moves the ifp (piston in the reservoir). The spring in the reservoir acts the same way nitrogen in a full size shock would.

    It’s nice to see a company care about their shocks. Those things didn’t even leak after you opened them up. Also the design is very cool and seems well thought out. Can’t say the same about the stock shocks…
    However they look like they take up a lot of space if you’re still running a hardbody.

    in this scale having oil filled shocks actually make a big difference. And thats double for the faster cars and buggies, however, i believe youll probably run into some heat issues with the oil either expanding after a while or changing damping depending on that viscosity change. But these are no doubt a really nice part.

    • @TheShopMiniRC
      @TheShopMiniRC  8 месяцев назад +1

      You can definitely make them fit. Only thing is the screw holes in the ball joints are 2.5mm vs 2mm. However, you can easily shim the holes, find new ball joins with 2mm holes or try to use m2.5 screws and rethread the shock mounts and axle mounts. (I’d just get some shims/fishing lure crimps, to take up some of the space between the ball and the screw. )

    Did they change the sizing since this video? Looks like the length is 56mm on the website?

    • @TheShopMiniRC
      @TheShopMiniRC  Год назад

      I dont think there is a difference. I just measured some brand new ones and they are right at 56mm. I might have gotten some first batch prototypes because the 2 fronts on my video rig show right at 54/55. I donno, maybe I messed something up on assembly? either way, measured 2 other brand new sets and they are 56mm
