Russia couldn't handle Ukraine at the start of the war, because their army was outdated but over the time they learned on their mistakes and Ukraine is now struggling. Recently they lost Avdiivka. Because of this and lack of help of the west poles (im Pole btw) starts to seriously consider scenario where Russia wins (by Ukraine's exhaustion).

Psalmid (Laulud) 51:6 Üksnes sinu vastu
    olen ma pattu teinud,
    ja olen teinud seda,
    mis on paha sinu silmis,
et sa oleksid õiglane oma sõnades
    ja selge oma kohtumõistmises.
7 Vaata, süüteos olen ma sündinud
ja patus on ema mu saanud.
8 Vaata, sul on hea meel tõest,
    mis asub südame põhjas,
ja salajas annad sa mulle tarkust teada.

    9 Puhasta mind patust iisopiga,
    et ma saaksin puhtaks;
    pese mind,

    17 Issand, ava mu huuled,
et mu suu kuulutaks sinu kiidetavust!

To be "always with Russia" would be to be always sc**wed -- for _anyone_ . So I don't think likely that Poland, or any other, will take up your offer.
Apart from anything else, an ally of a state run by Putin would be under some obligation to try to make sense of Putin's attempts are reasoning. Who wants that task?
