I’m surprised I’m not seeing new comments but here’s the gist: For TWEWY fans; this is a prologue/teaser for Neo The World Ends With You and basically confirms Sho is back and this time he’s a playable character. For KH fans: Melody of Memory basically said the world where Yozora is from is a parallel world called “Quadradum” so while we might get some similarities to TWEWY, it’s basically confirmed to be separate from Neku’s world (or maybe they are from Quadradum in KH since they’ve changed the backstories of Final Fantasy characters in that series so who know)
I believe Quadratum is the world that Joshua and Mr. Hanekoma leave to go create at the end of the another day story. But in a real life sense, its just a way for Square Enix to include other Square Enix games into the KH Story. But i NEED Sora to meet Sion!! It must happen!!
I mean, if it wasn’t for KH, TWEWY wouldn’t exist so I wouldn’t be that harsh towards it. Besides, there’s nothing wrong with ideas introduced in Neo being applied to KH, especially considering that’s what happened to Versus XIII.

I feel really bad for Neku, he's had a lot of bad luck come his way. He's died multiple times and witnessed so many tragedies. Hopefully in the sequel he'll get his happy ending somehow.
This game is 12 years old already. Remakes made us relive some memories, but all these teasers for a second part that never comes out… It's really infuriating.

I'm a Day1 Kingdom Hearts fan, and a 2021 TWEWY fan (thanks to the anime). I've just finished playing the DS version of TWEWY, and came here for this secret episode. Reading all the comments here about KH made me understand why the TWEWY fandom is upset when people see TWEWY as a sequel for KH. I know they're all Nomura's characters , I know Nomura teased us with that 104 tower in KH3, and Shibuya. I know Neku and his friends were in DDD. But I'd rather TWEWY and KH stay two different games. A KH game can't be a sequel for TWEWY and vice-versa. I'm totally okay with TWEWY characters coming again in a next KH game, like the FF characters. But , I wouldn't want KH4 or Verum Rex or whatever it is, to be considered as a sequel for TWEWY. This game deserves its own, real sequel. Good thing Neo-TWEWY was officially announced , and Nomura confirmed that there is no connection between the two universes. (But I'm still waiting for the explanation of why he put 104 and Shibuya in KH3....)

You literally know nothing about what constitutes as 'selling well' when it comes to gaming units. This was a week-one check-in for Japan only. Considering it's selling more stateside, the number is much higher than that alone. Coupled with the fact that TWEWY is niche, 20k for one week in japan is very good.

Im glad I came here for context cause I had no idea who she was. I forgot most of the characters from the first game but I knew I didnt recognize her at all when I played neo. Now I know why
I actually like the idea of a sequel. Okay, yeah, so Neku and his friends figure out how to be good people. That doesn't mean that Shibuya at-large doesn't have crime, poverty, etc. I very much sympathize with Composer Joshua (despite outside destruction and supposed restart being effectively the same as forced will control) and think that a second game SHOULD entertainingly say, "Yeah, eff that happy ending, humanity hasn't learned anything."
Sorry, but.. what nonsense. Screwing over their happy ending undermines the whole message of the original game's ending, and muddles it's theme. I mean why do you think Joshua chose to spare Shibuya in the first place? He learned and saw first hand that even the worst, most egoisitc of people in Shibuyu (in the form of Neku) WAS capable of growing and changing for the better. There will always be assholes, but that doesn't mean he has to be judge, jury, and executioner for everybody. Backtracking on that now makes everything these characters fought for outside of their own personal goals pointless.

(Also Nomura isnt even the lead or producer of Twewy he's just a character designer, so any decision regarding the story is by someone else Nomuraisntthemakerofeverything)

Neku was alive during that cutscene. You can even see it through how the denizens of the streets actually react to him waking up on the ground, unlike in the previous week where they pretty much walked past him due to him still being in the UG.
what was that ``7 Days Later`` after the final boss and before the ending credits? also the Kingdom Hearts DDD stuff in Traverse Town looked like it could be an exciting adventure what do you think a`that? and that city that Riku and Yozora were in at the secret ending of KH3 may be the same city in Neku's visions Shinjuku Hey that's enough for 3 weeks for a TWEwY sequel (except it's not all in Shibuya) what do you think they'll do?

I'm a Day1 Kingdom Hearts fan, and a 2021 TWEWY fan (thanks to the anime). I've just finished playing the DS version of TWEWY, and came here for this secret episode.
Reading all the comments here about KH made me understand why the TWEWY fandom is upset when people see TWEWY as a sequel for KH.
I know they're all Nomura's characters , I know Nomura teased us with that 104 tower in KH3, and Shibuya. I know Neku and his friends were in DDD.
But I'd rather TWEWY and KH stay two different games. A KH game can't be a sequel for TWEWY and vice-versa. I'm totally okay with TWEWY characters coming again in a next KH game, like the FF characters. But , I wouldn't want KH4 or Verum Rex or whatever it is, to be considered as a sequel for TWEWY. This game deserves its own, real sequel.
Good thing Neo-TWEWY was officially announced , and Nomura confirmed that there is no connection between the two universes. (But I'm still waiting for the explanation of why he put 104 and Shibuya in KH3....)

You literally know nothing about what constitutes as 'selling well' when it comes to gaming units. This was a week-one check-in for Japan only. Considering it's selling more stateside, the number is much higher than that alone. Coupled with the fact that TWEWY is niche, 20k for one week in japan is very good.

The only resemblance is that they both have long hair and look to be about the same age. And have some sort of connections to cat. Strelitzia with her Chirithy and the mysterious girl with Mr. Mew

Obviously a year late, but.. c'mon. She doesn't even look *remotely* like Strelitzia or ANY kh character, and even if she somehow did, why would that have mattered? Why did the thought ever cross your mind? Obviously that's not RG Shiki (the game never even implies as much, and neither do the characters beyond the appearance of Mr. Mew).

Im glad I came here for context cause I had no idea who she was. I forgot most of the characters from the first game but I knew I didnt recognize her at all when I played neo. Now I know why
I actually like the idea of a sequel. Okay, yeah, so Neku and his friends figure out how to be good people. That doesn't mean that Shibuya at-large doesn't have crime, poverty, etc. I very much sympathize with Composer Joshua (despite outside destruction and supposed restart being effectively the same as forced will control) and think that a second game SHOULD entertainingly say, "Yeah, eff that happy ending, humanity hasn't learned anything."
Sorry, but.. what nonsense. Screwing over their happy ending undermines the whole message of the original game's ending, and muddles it's theme. I mean why do you think Joshua chose to spare Shibuya in the first place? He learned and saw first hand that even the worst, most egoisitc of people in Shibuyu (in the form of Neku) WAS capable of growing and changing for the better. There will always be assholes, but that doesn't mean he has to be judge, jury, and executioner for everybody. Backtracking on that now makes everything these characters fought for outside of their own personal goals pointless.

@@ma.2089 The second game does seem to be focusing on different ppl. Just important characters like Josua, Sho, and sadly Neku show up. I don think it will undermine the messages of the game though, unless they really screw everything up. (Also Nomura isnt even the lead or producer of Twewy he's just a character designer, so any decision regarding the story is by someone else Nomuraisntthemakerofeverything)

Finally its explained why in original DS version neku even after returning to his friends suddenly appear on street again shouting what the hell, cuz this new character coco killed him again, this fin was just to fill the hole the game has and to tease for a twewy 2 or maybe a conection to KH3??
Neku was alive during that cutscene. You can even see it through how the denizens of the streets actually react to him waking up on the ground, unlike in the previous week where they pretty much walked past him due to him still being in the UG.
He woke up on the ground BEFORE meeting up with his friends though. The original game was never even remotely implied Neku was going to die again.
