Anything that is specifically targeted by our government as bad makes me immediately want to own it. There’s a reason why they went after Ripple and it wasn’t to “protect” investors. They’re threatened by it and for very good reasons. Hold!
Generally, I tend to agree with you completely because the government is absolutely not looking out for our best interest.
That being said, until recently, crypto has been the wild west of investing with varying interests pushing and pulling on the government in various directions over the years. I'm sure a number of people in Congress have crypto investments themselves so of course they are going to be advocating for it. Then there are the ones who are in the pockets of the big Banks who may be putting out a bunch of negative propaganda to help keep prices low so the banks can gobble it up at a discount. I certainly wouldn't invest in something simply because the government is against it though.
That being said, I really hope xrp is a huge success because the banking system is horribly inefficient and expensive. It shouldn't take $20 on both ends to send a wire transfer among other things. Hopefully it's a big success and all of the long time investors make a ton of money. I plan on taking another look at it after this bull cycle is over, but for now, I'm fairly skeptical about it being adopted as they've advertised.

The price of xrp has been massively surpressed due to the legal fight with the SEC. Whilst they got a partial win (a big win for the crypto industry) there is still one more final fight they have which is due to settle a fine.
Until this fine is agreed (predicted this summer) the price will not move. If the court case was ALL resolved last year and the price didnt move, i would understand the hate.
However the court case is still outstanding and hopefully we can see how xrp goes once it is settled.
If the price does not move after the fine has been settled, is it safe to say to move on from XRP? But wouldn’t XRP move anyway if Bitcoin is going up?

totally understand the frustration, but ripple is the only one mentioned by the BIS, the MIF, world bank etc. (no solana, no avalanche, no cardano,) , and the board members are unbelievable.....so its going to do something, but a new monetary system takes time to build. - so its one to keep and hold.

I bought xrp when it was about 3 cents. None of what they none of what they originally claimed they were going to do has happened. We all have our opinions on xrp, but to me, it is the story of promises not kept.

They have been kept, however the preparation phase is still in play. Ripplenet and XRP have not even come close to being operated at full capacity yet. Just because it hasn’t yet, absolutely does not mean that it won’t. This is a basic concept people are struggling to grasp for some reason.
@@Vincent.Wilson As someone who was following all their updates early on, I think it's safe to say that they are WAY behind on those promises and considering they launched in 2012 and still have yet to fulfil their most basic, original promise of banks across the world using XRP for moving money, hence driving up XRP's value has not been kept. Of course, at some random and hopeful point between now and infinity, they could actually accomplish what they set out to do, but at the pace they've moved at, CBDCs will be the international standard long before XRP ever gets there. The famous Jim Carey quote applies here. "So you're telling me there's still a chance."
Tell you what, I'll buy your xrp for 6 cents a piece so you can be rid of the headache at a profit.

For Lark and all other BTC maxis! Below is a quote the SEC forced Blackrock to add to their BTC ETF application before they begrudgingly approved it:
The filing further added, “If a digital asset is determined or asserted to be a security, it is likely to become difficult or impossible for the digital asset to be traded, cleared or custodied in the United States through the same channels used by non‑security digital assets, which in addition to materially and adversely affecting the trading value of the digital asset is likely to significantly impact its liquidity and market participants’ ability to convert the digital asset into U.S. dollars.”
BTW, XRP is not a security and is the ONLY digital asset with LEGAL clarity! Wake up people!
XRP is a stable coin just like USDC and USDT it doesn’t move..if XRP win the case I bet the token will only reach 0.01 and the dreams of 100$ to 1000$ is impossible.. that’s why it’s much better to invest in memecoins
What you got wrong is that ripple is the “chosen one”.
It was chosen many years ago.
There are other similar and or better technologies than Ripple/XRP , but not all will succeed .
And furthermore, why is the SEC attacking ripple FIRST?

Pretty good video. The only thing wrong is thinking the xrp court victory is is an equal victory for all crypto. It just isn't. Xrp is a step ahead and growing.

Maybe he didn't get anything wrong, but I doubt he knows every single behind the scenes details regarding XRP. One thing I do know is XRP is locked in with the major financial institutions for a reason. Respect the ISO's and always do your own research!

But with XRP it has been picked by the big banks already, they don't have the final win with the SEC yet so my thoughts are that XRP will go up in use by the banks that have signed on with ripple once they have victory over the SEC. They haven't even started to use XRP, the value of each token must go up to facilitate trillions of dollars in transactions in my opinion.

All that matters is the symbolism, their icon alone is enough but besides that, it's literally RIDDLED
Nobody seems to have a clue what is happening with the escrow and institutional sales. There is a finite amount of sales that can be given at a discount or otherwise. Once the demand reaches a certain point, the price will skyrocket, the new institutional discount will cost more for a substantially less quantity. The demand is the primary driver in price so judging from where we are today vs not far down the road from here.. we will see 1000% to 10,000% over the next decade conservatively. 100,000% is possible with an entire global economy and growing GDPs factored in.
What I don’t understand is that XRP does not move in Price but always have High Volume?? Can someone explain!
Because the actual users sell everything they bought within a minute of buying it. When not in the middle of a transaction they likely do not hold much as the use case was always to be a bridge and not a store of value.
Bridge currency aka XRP. Transaction is about 3-5s so value go and leave quickly.

XRPL network provides interoperability for tokenized assets-as the net value of transactions increase, the value of the limited amount of XRP will have to expand to facilitate the transactions-hence the price appreciation-adoption will drive the price.

I'm an absolute novice in this space, but it seems to me that if many banks & institutions are using XRP as a bridge currency, there needs to be the same value of XRP locked up in exchanges to make the exchange of currency work. While there seems to be no increase in value derived from each individual transaction, surely there is in relation to a growing scarcity of XRP. If more and more institutions are using XRP as the bridge currency, an increasing amount of it needs to be locked up in liquidity. I might be wrong, but this is how I understand it.
As others have stated, the BIS, IMF, WEF and many other Central Banks only talk about xrp, xlm and xdc...not BTC, ETH or Sol. Their reports & words.., not mine.

The host makes a very important point regarding the future value or price of XRP. At 9:55 in this video the Lark Davis contends, “…THERE IS NO REAL MECHANISM THAT REALLY WORKS TO ADD VALUE OR SCARCITY TO THE TOKEN ITSELF…” This is perfectly stated, and I would add that the massive circulating supply of XRP further complicates its future token price. I agree that the burn mechanism in place accomplishes very little making it irrelevant. There seems to be an assumption within the XRP community that success of Ripple/XRP in the marketplace will automatically correlate to a higher price of the token.
Hey Lark you can’t look at Ripple’s escrow as problematic because you or none of us for that matter don’t know what their plan for it is? Bear in mind that 95% of Ripple’s business is overseas, maybe the escrow has been already assigned to all the international financial institutions that Ripple are partnered with? IMF, BIS, WEF, ECB etc etc

Ripple has probably most of everyone in the space partnership with the international banks and financial institutions!
Also there is things that no other projects can do as xrp as you can send american dollar and receive a mexican pesos on the other end and other advantages as well.
Many banks already work with Ripple not with any other projects…
So we can look from a technical point of view it that’s not what will determine the price of xrp!

BECAUSE do you think the world is going to accept a U.S. CBDC or a Chinese CBDC? The answer is no one wants the dollar or the Chinese yuan. There has to be a stablecoin that is backed by gold or fiat currency that is then bridged to other currencies. That’s XRP. Is description of XRP was half ass and he didn’t even mention AMM or the new ripple stablecoin. If you going to inform then it’s best to explain why it hasn’t moved since the lawsuit. The same thing is about to happen to all proof of stake coins when they are sued for being sold as securities.
They need Ripple technology for CBDC's and probably XRP as a bridge between CBDC's. Interoperability

@@Solus793 No. But they use Ripple technology. Ripple is the crypto leader in that area. BIS is Central Bank of all Central Banks, and they are working together. Ripple has more than 500 partners and customers worldwide. Look what they did for UK, Swiss and Singapore for example.

Also companies much less banks don’t want to swap in new tech without thorough testing, so what thoroughly tested competition is there (years of testing in production)
