I thought I was a pretty good rec crabber, but this video has taught me double again. I’m so fascinated by how fine tuned throwing a crab pot in can get.
You're not mud crabbing until your pots are deep in the mangroves, smashing timber and catching big bucks! Nice vid mate, learnt a few tips too even though we crab a little different here in the NT
I check them every hour here in the NT or they can get to many inside at once and mess up the traps. Have hit boat limit in 4hrs before up here when they are on.
Quick tip: we have a technique finding those mussels underground we use thin metal rod like a big knife and draws a line in the mud, when the rod hit the mussels it creates a sound of metal hitting a rock .. u'll get the idea..
Probably been asked a hundred times before but, what breed is the dog? Looks just like my mates old dog, it was a rescue and we never really knew. Smartest dog I ever met tho. Great vid too 👍
Brooo! Get on you old channel and permote your NEW channel! I was a long time sub from the old one and had NO idea you had a knew fishing channel I have missed out on alot 🤦🤣 love the videos man dont ever change 👊
Such a good video! Those guys can certainly drive tiller steer tinnnies better then 99% of the population 🤣 Money can't buy that type of experience.... I'm sure most southerners would give birth to kittens going up those tinny creeks at 40kmph+😅
According to the rules you don't need a float just has to be tied to a tree but it does need a label at the point of attachment. We didn't show them because it has all of his personal information on them.:)
Those mud mussels, if u know how to spot them hiding under the mud. You not gonna walk far to pick them up instead u will be picking them up bucket full of mussels.
@@timmyturtlefish3321 damn. You got guts lol! I'm a Sydney Sider but looking to move to qld, what's the furthest south a Crocs been spotted? I'm NOT keen on ever even seeing one in the water when I'm in a boat lol
Well, no. While it would be quite unfavourable odds to pot a marked crab, it could still happen. It wouldn't be very beneficial though, because they shed their shells in order to grow. Although i reckon if you scratched one hard enough the mark might still show as a scar. Ive seen a few big bucks with some gnarly battle scars before. Marking water with a cross on the otherhand...

Happy days! He is a pro at navigating through those mangroves. Muddies are a favourite here. Great vid!

You don’t think we have estuaries, mangroves etc in the south? We even have lots of mud crabs
Good video mate cheers
Love the video. Timmy, this is probably the only guy on egotube to bleed his fish when caught. The rest might as well eat roadkill.
Is the thumbnail image an actual screen shot from somewhere in your video? Or do you guys photoshop that?
actual screenshot keep looking
😮interesting
Amazing video.
Cool video as always timmy. How come old mate didn't have to have floats with his name and address on them. Cool content as always mate 👌👌👌

@@timmyturtlefish3321 next time you’re down I’ll tip 6-7 small jennies on the deck so you can practice/get bit 👍🏼😂
Put our crabs to shame on the other side of the Tasman but the Mullets are even👍👍👍
You must mean the sharp knife to run around the base of the amateurs pots. Seen it happen.
What happened to the beautiful blue water in the thumbnail?
That’s more just to grab people’s attention. Blue catches the eye faster then brown
I know someone who's be spewing those spots are on the tube
hahaha no good on the oysters timmy
lokasinya sangat bagus banget.
Nice
I caught a load of crabs down The Fortitude Valley…..fuckn beat that!
Marking a wild crab to check growth rates would be like marking water with a cross.

Why did he have tow Motors
we had trouble with the yammy heading back the first arvo so he threw it on just in case.
Any RUclips die hards spot the "SV Delos" rashie?
12 years of crabs is a lot of beer money.
We're r you crabing
Looks like typical NQ crabbing to me. Good instructions for a rookie to get a feed.
Fully legal🤦♂️no ID on the ropes
Nice cod. We quite often get a cod or two on overnight soaks
Orang yg memasang perangkat kepiting ini jelas sangat sudah berpengalaman, tetapi saya lebih jago lagi.. 😂😂😂
Not the worst deckie, but bloody hell you could have baited a few pots for the bloke while he was driving!!
