The good of safety rules aside, OSHA has ZERO business walking around a business operating in a state and not involved in INTERSTATE commerce. We ran OSHA agents off mill sites numerous times. Each time they'd toss out threats of returning with sheriffs or even U.S. Marshals, but their threats were never followed through on. Even the state can't have it both ways, if you know how to argue the matter. That is, either it is obligated to protect fourth amendment rights and their state equivalents, or the aren't, and states cannot compel you to waive those rights conditional to eking out a living.
Thank you for sharing. Grateful to have the rules and regulations we have now to keep families complete.
“Get up there, and don’t fall.” That was about the extent of my training.
