I know these WJ videos are several months old and you are already out enjoying that awesome WJ you have built. I absolutely love it. You do great work. I have to say I really liked your inspirational oration. I am easy to give up on stuff when trying to make it. This was a kick in the butt to get me going again. I recently purchased a WJ and have big plans for it but getting started on it has been a challenge (lack of motivation due to fear?)

How much ground clearance do you lose on that rear axle compared to not having it?

Maybe 1/2" but remember the Dana44A is aluminum so a little protection is probably not a bad idea. I am not making them right not. Not enough demand.

I'm considering swapping my dana 30 for a dana 44a. What is your opinion of the 44a?
No brainer really and they are a dime a dozen. Should be direct bolt on.

Clear Powder coat that thing. It's too pretty to cover it up.
This is stainless steel so it will look like that forever. No need to clear. If it gets all scratched up a few minutes with the grinder will clean it back up. Thanks for watching.
