We saw each other everyday till she had to move away because her father was in the military and her family moved every 3- 4 years. Two months after she moved I visited her in her new home over a Thanksgiving weekend. When it was time for me to leave we had sad and tearful “goodbye”. When I got on the plane, I cried and could see her in the terminal window, crying as well. Her name is Lisa. We never saw each other again in person. But alas, we are friends of FB. I am happily married and have been for 46 years. But I will always have a special place in my heart for Lisa!
Saw him Live in 1974 Madison Square Garden it was sold out and you could hear a pin drop when he did this song . His voice still sounds amazing. Glad to see he’s revisiting his Cat Steven’s Days and performing for all of us .

Cat Stevens is right up there with the very best. He is without doubt one of the finest singer songwriters of the last 50 years. His talent has never left him, and he makes very intricate songs like this look so easy to perform live. One of my all time favourite artists. Total respect.🙏😎

i remember the first time I heard this sound back in circa 1970 and being so moved by it. The violin part in the middle is so beautiful. I listened to the entire album twice it was so incredible.
The violin/cello bridge in the middle is one of my favorite parts in the song, too. But the lyrics are also very powerful and the music so poignant… everything is beautiful and sad and heartbreaking in Sad Lisa.
Those two people, the girl in the Cat Stevens/Yusuf hat, and the middle aged man crying to this song just seem like the sweetest people in the world! Great music brings out the best in people. So glad Yusuf is performing and making music again.

I broke in pieces when I heard this a few days ago , re recorded in 2020. He has something from out of this world .
