I have been over hancock pass several times, first was 1978, I was riding a Honda 250 Trials bike. Back then you could ride up to the east portal of the Alpine tunnel. The railroad ties were in several places, also there were several ravines washed out. Got up to the tunnel and the entrance was covered by a slide. Rode over Hancock to go to the west Portal, we could crawl into the tunnel at the top of the entrance. There was two feet of water so did not walk back into the tunnel. Have been their many, many times. The last time was 2015 driving my Ram 1500 up to the tunnel. They have cleaned out the entrance to the tunnel but you still can't get in. twenty years ago they were selling VHS tapes of the interior of the tunnel. I'm going back out there this summer to ride my 1976 Honda 250 Trials.
It's getting pretty crowded up there in CO, I prefer Utah for DS riding, you're alone out there. I've got 4 days of DS video from the passes around Silverton from back in August that I haven't edited yet, I might try to get to it over the holiday.
Great trail and impressive riding skills on such a rocky track. Wouldn't want to attempt this on anything heavier than 300 lbs. Is this part of the TAT route? Subbed, as well.
Loved the accompanying music, and the riding style!
Thanks LGB, I appreciate you taking the time to comment.
Never saw that one. Thanks man. Think I'll check it out before the end of September.

Looked like an awesome day. What was the round trip mileage? Great job. I hit the sub button.
