Deeply moving to the core of any honest seeker of that which is real for anyone that has also struggled with a deep desire to BELONG and to simply BE unconditionally loved. From one silent soul-mate to another. A forever healing TWO on the enneagram scale striving to be my best and most authentic Self forever wanting the stability of that forever elusive equanimity. Having lived 60 years as a similar seeker and syncretist, I continue to uncover almost daily that which needs to die so that something new and real might emerge. Jewel, for me, you are the the best of that which this planet can be and I can’t help but repeatedly gravitate toward that which you remain in my heart of hearts. Thank you from yet another of your perhaps pathetic but unapologetic secrete admirers. BTW, your poem LOST means more to me than this overly long comment could ever express. When I saw your tape at Walmart when it first came out (the one with your face) I told my Mom about you giving me the shirt and having the best female voice in Alaska. I also convinced her I had to have one of the tapes. it really changed my life. I don't think that there is a song out there better suited for me. I just turned 17 and have just made a big change in my life. I have realized that the people I used to call my friends are living their lives on pretend things and lies. This song is such a poetic way of talking about that sort of realization I think everyone comes to terms with eventually. AMAZING!
