is there a way to tell if it is fully charged without having to turn it on the battery charged icon is in the upper right and it is hard to see, for somebody like me who has old eyes. I just got mine in today and plugged it in and it looks like it might have been fully charged shipped that way?

I’m looking for a cheap way to identify poor or missing insulation in buildings. I’m watching to see if it will work for that. I’m guessing no. Looks like it only images the wavelength of the IR illumination.
Thermal is always expensive. Look for a mobile phone like the black view for around $450 or the Caterpillar s62 pro for $600. Thermal imager monoculars are a few hundred or thousands

Mine was fully charges. The only indicator I found was after you turned it on.
I mean hey for that price its better than not even being able to see at all

So it can be used for simply hunting without recording? Just to scope out hills etc for pigs. Cheers
I intend to use/test it this season. It definitely does not match up to my buddy's $3k monocular but does fairly well for a now $27 one.

IR is all you get with this one. I looked into getting the thermal, but not sure I can afford any set that is decent.
