Watch this Before You Buy a 3D Printer
Sometimes you have to do what you have to do. And in this video I felt the need to destroy a crappy 3D printer. Which one? You'll have to watch to find out. Just remember this isn't your mom's review channel. You'll get nothing but the truth from me. If you don't like explosions or hearing guns stop watching after the warning.
Yes I did this safely. I live in the middle of 50 acres and we were 200 yards away. Yes, we used hearing protection and eye protection. No, no animals were hurt and yes, all pieces of the 3D printer were collected up.....well the ones we found anyways. That thing went up!
The review was serious although the ending was just us having fun.

    I know this is old but I bought my printer second hand about the same time you did. Love it but it is a little slow. I upgraded my setup to use Klipper on an old laptop, installed KlipperScreen on an old Android, and installed a BL Touch and did some input shaping. That and some fine tuning in Orca Slicer and this thing flies. I have reliability cut my times down to less than half and the quality is insane. Plus, Klipper has unlimited features and KlipperScreen makes the stock screen look like a toy.

    I know this is an old video. But I recently purchased this product. And I have been watching videos. I seen in Lightburn that there is an option in tools to do a burn test grid. So by doing that on the material. You can dial in the setting quicker instead of doing test runs and making adjustments over and over. This grid would give you a good base line to start and tweak it from there. Am I right? Just wanted to bring this up to save people from using up a lot of material trying to get a good result. Thank you for an awesome review 👍. I subscribed to your channel! After camera calibration, I would like to see a remake (6:54) of the medallion necklace and see if it was spot on. This is my 2nd WeCreat, and engraving still is not spot on after calibration. If doing batches of engraving, the camera is even worse; not all of the engraved items will be centered on projects such as keychains and dog tags. I was told any items to be engraved must be in the center of the laser, and this will fix the issues. However, with LightBurn, there is a way to adjust the offset of the camera for other types of lasers that are compatible with LightBurn, but WeCreat is not fully compatible with LightBurn, which means I can't adjust anything that is offset from projects. Auto Focus is a great concept, but it is not spot on. I believe the issue is with the camera. The camera isn’t the best in these lasers. The camera with WeCreat focuses with a fisheye (as with other brands), and this seems to be the issue with not cutting or engraving spot on. If you’re a photographer, you will get it right away. When you place a design on a dog tag and all looks good before sending it to the laser, the results turn out different after engraving. Why? Fisheye in the lens. The only way to fix this issue is to replace the camera with a better high-resolution non-fisheye lens; otherwise, this problem will not go away. I would like folks to be aware that this channel is the only RUclips Content Creator that has demonstrated the camera was off during engraving the pendant. YOU WILL NEVER see another channel sponsored by WeCreat showing the offset when engraving with one or in batches. I want to thank MPC Reviews for not editing out this flaw; folks need to see the real deal before making a purchase decision. As for engraving metals, WeCreat came out with a 2W Infrared Laser Module. Although this is a great concept, to install the 2W Infrared Laser Module and then reinstall the 20-watt module is CRAZY! There is too much time-consuming switching between the two models when you want to engrave metal or go back to non-metal materials. Again, poor design. They should had made a laser module with both, 2w infrared and 20watt combined with a switch. By WeCreat: ruclips.net/user/live1UwKCQtQ8iY?si=5SXruM-fuyxtj1_w Regarding damage on arrival, that happened to me. No, there was no fault from UPS whatsoever. My first WeCreat power cord would not stay plugged in the back of the unit. Any slight move, such as moving the crumb tray out, would cause the power cord connection to fall off the back of the unit. Plus, my camera was way off with any projects I engraved or cut. Regardless of the amount of correspondence with WeCreat support, I wasn’t getting anywhere to fix these problems. In fact, I was blamed for the loose power cord connection. Yes, you heard me right; support blamed me for the power cord being loose. They said I unplugged and moved the laser around too many times, when I only moved it twice to its final location. I was also blamed for the WiFi disconnecting. I retired as a Network Analyst for 22+ years and can honestly say I know a thing or two about routers and networks. WeCreat WiFi would not stay connected, even though my computer was on the same brand 2.4 and next to my router. No matter what, support blamed my WiFi not working correctly. WeCreat would not do an exchange. I had to return the laser and wait for my refund in order to replace it. Less than a week ago, I received a second WeCreat laser, and this time the crumb tray is almost impossible to slide in and out. The only way to get the tray in and out is to tilt the laser up; otherwise, it’s almost impossible to use it. The right side grill has one lost fin (that is what they named it as). And the WiFi still doesn’t work. In fact, if you ever noticed, every RUclips Content creator sponsored by WeCreat never uses the WiFi; they use the WeCreat USB cable instead. Anyhow, I'm not sure if I will continue to keep and use WeCreat. I have to connect with support for these new issues, and most likely I will be the one blamed for causing these problems. I know they don’t do exchanges regardless, so if I do a return, that will be it, no more WeCreat. Since I've been through two WeCreat lasers, I can honestly say it is a great concept when it works. If anything, engraving tumblers is spot on and does a really good job. Cutting? This too does a good job as long as you stay within the boundaries of the laser trays; otherwise, it is hit and miss with alignments. Engraving onto a single item or batch work has its drawbacks; the weakest part of this laser is not being spot on. WiFi? Well, forget that. Only a few I have been in touch with owning WeCreat have no issues with WiFi connection, but the majority absolutely have problems. Support? Forget about it. Again, I only share my personal experience, and it was horrible. Please note, I don’t believe there is more than one person for support, and the individual I dealt with ignored the real issues and revised them as if I caused them. And there is no way around that individual to file complaints; it always ends up with the one person that reads and responds to all emails for support. Again, I want every viewer to be aware that 99.9% of RUclips reviews for WeCreat have been sponsored. I am not saying this is a bad thing or this channel too. In fact, I respect this channel for providing the pros and cons regardless of being sponsored. Most other channels do not. And you have to understand, WeCreat’s only way to market this product is to give it away in bulks to content creators. Doing so creates hype for the WeCreat, making it look like everyone has it. And this form of giveaways doesn’t present a real-life experience or product reviews. In fact, it is so rare to find anyone who has not been sponsored by WeCreat to actually see a real-world scenario of WeCreat in use. And WeCreat's website only shows those who have been sponsored by them for their product promotion and reviews. And no different with WeCreat RUclips channel, every video starts with an opening of those they sponsored on RUclips. That is one reason I will not be sponsored or have any affiliates with any companies on my RUclips channel; I will not do it. All products reviews on my channel was paid by me, this presents a real honest opinion without holding to any companies. Just a thought for everyone to think about. That said, I recently purchased LaserMATIC Mk and am waiting for it to arrive tomorrow. I want to compare their camera system with WeCreat. I honestly believe LaserMATIC Mk 2 will end up being the better choice in the long run. The only way for me to back up that statement is to compare the two. I will update my results as soon as it arrives and complete a test run for comparison.

      The second one was still not spot on. My son is using that machine now and he rarely does small engraves like that so he love it. I sent Wecreat support a long email on it and they replied saying they are looking at the issue. Hopefully it will just be a software update and not a hardware upgrade.

    Gonna be doing mostly, pens, glass, and tumblers. Would you recommend this, a co2 or a fiber laser? Budget is up to 3k but obviously the less I spend the more material I can start with. Likely my batches will be 30 to 100 at a time. Not really looking to commercialize it too much just a bit of side $.

      @mpcreviews 5 месяцев назад

      For those items this LASER would work well. Using a jig to hold the pens would allow you to batch out dozens of them at a time. Although the rotary will only allow you to do one at a time. Depending on the on the design you use it can take anywhere between 5mins and 45 mins each. For a $3K you could also get the xTool S1. No camera on that one but is a very good laser check it out here: www.xtool.com/products/xtool-s1-laser-cutter?ref=MPC&variant=44206544126191

      @@mpcreviews I agree with MPC response. However, before considering the xTool S1, check out their support. XTool has the lowest ratings for support, and this is crucial when you need assistance. When starting out, I would not recommend a CO2 laser. CO2 lasers are expensive and costly to maintain. They are more suited for those handling large quantities of work and using special materials that a diode laser cannot process. While CO2 lasers are robust for engraving and cutting almost any material, the right diode laser can do amazing jobs for the most part. Save yourself a lot of money and go with the LaserMATIC Mk 2 with the 30-watt option. LaserMATIC Mk 2 utilizes LightBurn, considered the best laser software in the industry. With LightBurn, there is no need for third-party software to create or modify designs-it's that powerful and easy to use. At $1,599 with no tax and free shipping, LaserMATIC Mk 2 offers cost savings and is a better laser, in my opinion, compared to the XTool S1. LaserMATIC Mk 2's support is spot on! It is ranked as the best support in the diode laser market. If you've ordered an xTool, I highly recommend canceling it and watching on RUclips how everyone recommends the LaserMATIC Mk 2. Roly Automation's website lacks visual appeal, but don't let that discourage you from considering their products. While the website may look outdated, their products stand out. I hope this helps. rolyautomation.com/collections/lasermatic-mk2 I am not sponsored or affiliated with Roly LaserMATIC."
