He obvious has a live in girlfriend. If the pink shower cap in the bathroom or high heel shoes under the bed weren't a give-a-way, just look at all the clothes, bathroom products, etc. Not many guys who shave their head need a pink shower cap.
One of the things I really miss about this city is how easy it is to find a place to stay. So many no contract, cheap and decent options also with cheap or included weekly cleaning. One of my favorite aspects of my times in Thailand is how simple everything is compared to my home (California)
Great videos mate so glad you're back making Content. I watched almost all your videos before moving to Thailand helped me heaps! I've got a great job and learned a lot but I'll still tune in because I always learning something. Cheers! Frank from Bangkok
I'm sick of the corona crap...need to get home to BKK. Currently locked out in my work apartment in another country. I used to live Chiang Mai with my wife, we used to live opposite the Convention Centre and loved it. If it wasnt for the air pollution we would have moved back. Enjoy and thanks.
Almost fell off my chair when I saw you walking down my old soi and then going to my old apartment building. I lived at BP Grand on the 4th floor for most of 2019. I had a room with a kitchen area on the balcony (in front) for an extra 400 per month. I loved the place. Very nice, very convienient, very friendly staff.
Hi brev I stayed just around the corner ar the royal Panera and had a look at the BP apartment but if I added the cost of bedding TV electrics ect no cleaning ,it didn't come out that much different from the hotel. Keep up the good work from lockdown in Israel
I’m living in my 2200 baht storage apartment by the super hwy. I was going back to the states until my flights were canceled. Glad I’m still here because the US is a mess. Fam says I better off here...
Hi Brett, back at home about 8 weeks now and I miss Chaing Mai a lot. Great videos, would like to know more about the teaching thing and what the cut off age might be? Cheers mate.

Hey, Brett. I like the way you present Chiang Mai. You show the real picture of it. Talking about it, I got pretty interested in getting to know about your teacher friend. Does he support himself only with the online income of his lectures? You should organize something really deep on this theme, including numbers! I'd rather learn about this from you than from those giggling-too-excited-adjective-addicted youtubers settled down in Chiang Mai. Can't be bothered to waste my time forwarding their videos like squeezing an orange to find something. Take care, mate.
A few questions: Do you need TEFL? How competitive is it (I imagine that with half the planet in lockdown everyone is looking for ways to generate income from home)? Does age matter (can you start teaching at 40+)? And what are the contracts like. Thanks for the tour. The rent is unreal. I'm paying almost as much for Netflix and Sky.
Question for Q&A session: My girlfriend is from the Philippines, (I.e: not a native English speaker!!) but speaks relatively good English. Is there a chance for her to become a freelance online English Teacher without being a Native speaker?and what certificates do most of the companies look for?. Thanks Brett. good to see ya back. Keep 'em coming!!!..
This is a great inside look! Please ask him 1. how many regular students he has and how long it took to reach that point, 2. what the ratio is of teaching kids vs adults
I stay 6 months a year, but I live in Jomtien. On the beachroad... My condo is 15,000 bhats. And ver often I think of going to Chiang Mai. But I'm too lazy! And, one of the good thing about Pattaya: A little more than 2 hours after landing from a 26 hours flight from Canada, your on the beach... Maybe that's why... I september, if it's possible, maybe I'll remember your video, and I'll take a train and I'll go see.. Thanks for nice infos about Thailand...
I would love to get into teaching online and be able to move out to Thailand and work remotely as long as I have a solid internet connection. Where do I start?
Wow, I was taken aback as to how smart of a use a toothpick can be. Thailand seems so awesome. Too bad there is no end in sight for this epidemic as of 4/21/2020.
Hi Brett. I googled B.P. Grand Service Apartments. Only results are agencies and rates are based on daily rates so they run from double the $162 to 5 times that for 30 days. Does this complex have their own website to book directly at $162? Thanks.

I've seen other people tell about under 200$ condos in CM but whenever I try to look for them on international booking sites I can't find any. So they really do exist but they just are not on the web?
The Thai Government electric rate is supposedly set at 4B per unit. I'm curious as to why certain condos are charging 8-10B per unit. Any ideas? Seems like foreigners are getting a resoundingly raw deal, and either supplementing landlord income, or lining condo staff pockets,. Nice little earner for a shabby receipt.
Your bang on. It's illegal to charge more than government rate but they put it down as community electric for lobby etc. Standard condo rate is about 8b. I'd never pay above that.
Tell your friend "here's to Alpha Phi Omega, loyal brothers we..." (singing). I was in APO and I lived in Chiang Mai from November, 2018 to June, 2020.
Questions for the teacher: (1) assuming you travel as lite as possible, what is your tech setup/packing (luggage) setup for teaching ESL while traveling or living in Chiang Mai? (2) What is your visa situation to be able to stay there so long? Self-defense visa?
Layne Mark and I are uploading another video on Sunday we've also done an interview video. In that Mark said that he travels with just an A4 pack that contains his whiteboard, props etc. Can fit in a backpack!
Q1: how to deal with visas if teaching online with a non-thai company? Q2: any online company recommendations if i want to teach teens and adults but not kids? Thanks!!
I got stuck in chiang mi so now I'm looking for a place, I'm just super indecisive. I've paid more money on places and because it's just me I end up feeling kind of redicullous. toothpick idea was a good :) first time I've seen it. do you have a girl in CM? Im guessing thas why you have stuck around so long, if I'm going for the small city vibe i would much prefer to be in Da Nang, that being said I've never been to CM but was never really drawn to Thailand, all ways like the east Asia country but could not afford to live there so i settled in Vietnam for 3 years witch has its up and downs bit could never live there, for the rest of my life. Haha take care mate
Curious what company he's working for, in other words who is it that's paying him and their contact info? Also was it mandatory that he had to have a TEFL certificate and/or a college degree?
CM has horrible transportation. If you don't have a car or scooter you're at the mercy of songtaew.Huge numbers of people die or are injured in scooter accidents. Thais like to drink so beware that you may die as a victim in a traffic accident. There's almost no public transport. Whatever there is has no schedule and buses are not running at this time. The best place to live in CM is within walking distance of food markets. Or places to eat if you don't cook. Forget cheap prices, always go for location. If location allows you to walk that's where you want to live. I hate songtaew and tuk tuks. Grab is too expensive to use all the time.
