Melbourne on a Glorious Spring Day 2023 - DJI Mavic 3 Pro Dlog M & Freewell Filters

I hope you are well. This video captures an awesome spring day in Melbourne. I filmed it last Friday afternoon which was a public holiday and a long weekend to celebrate the AFL Grand Final. It was quite hot and people were flocking to the local beaches and enjoying the warm sunshine after what seems a long winter.
Daylight savings has also just started plus the days are getting longer which means I will be able to fly more often :)

Drone: I used a DJI Mavic 3 Pro in 4K in D-Log M colour using the main Hasselblad 24mm equiv camera and the Medium Tele 70mm equiv zoom camera. I didn't use the 3rd Tele 166mm equiv zoom camera. I also used Freewell ND filters for all of the shots. Many of the shots used optical zoom and I was actually a long way back.

Yep! I can easlly tell that watching on a TV, the quality is not close to the Nano+, it lacks the details (melting pixels is DJI's quality trade mark), but like I alsways say, it does not matter what camera you use, it is how you use it, and you are a pro!@@GizmoDrones

Great composition as always Brett. Do you use the ND filters to soften the harsher light of middle of the day? Got the M3 Pro as well but yet to use the filters with it.

Thanks much. I use ND filters for video mostly out of habit but I know it improves the smoothness of motion plus allows you to set the aperture in the sweet spot around the middle (for a drone that has variable aperture). I also found the lighting isnt as harsh during the day. Cheers

Here are my suggestions mate: Most parts of the scene don't show any pacing elements. Rather, the videography follows a slow pan throughout which gives a sense of peacefulness. An extended version of Time - Hans Zimmer, may suit this kind of video. Also, the music already added to the video at some parts seems to show (I say this because it is my personal opinion) a sense of victory, not sure if that sense matches a scene like this. Another suggestion for music would be Erik Satie Gymnopedies 1. Any slow soft ambient music would go well with this.
