Therapy only works when one is able and willing to engage with what is being taught. I have one patient like this now and shes very Raxxy and blames everyone else for things shes caused in her own life at this point. Craves any kind of attention she can get. Ok not to defend the guy and I don’t believe he arranged therapy for a second, but it absolutely IS a scary prospect. Therapy is like someone holding a mirror up to you and you see your true reflection for the first time. You have to confront your demons, past trauma that you locked away and all the things you’ve been suppressing, so yeah it is scary.
