hello, congratulations for the video. I would like to know if the sunroof is also fixed at the rear under the covering or if the pins are free and only make position. where can i buy a rope for my sunroof?
After watching your video, i’ve tried to fix mine, it didn’t work. I had problems to put the roof back in it’s place, do you remember in what position were the plates in the rear part? I left them not perfectly squared with the roof closed, I’m afraid they’ll brake if they are not in their proper position. Many thanks for the video!
Thanks for the video! I have the same problem and I didn’t know how to remove the sunroof. Did you get the cable from a shop? I can’t find a replacement for mine :-(
I had no idea working on a MK2 Golf sunroof was quite so manageable. Glad you made the video.
Yeah it's a handy job actually. The only issue is that the cables are mad money new. That's why I bought a second hand one..
hello, how are you? excellent video, do you know where to get the cables? thanks in advance

Where did you source the cable?
Was it OEM or Aftermarket?

From where can I buy new sunroof cables?
They're no longer available.
That's similar to vintage cadillac sunroof
I'd imagine a lot of cars do it a similar way. It makes sense.
