    I had no idea working on a MK2 Golf sunroof was quite so manageable. Glad you made the video.

      Yeah it's a handy job actually. The only issue is that the cables are mad money new. That's why I bought a second hand one..

    hello, congratulations for the video. I would like to know if the sunroof is also fixed at the rear under the covering or if the pins are free and only make position. where can i buy a rope for my sunroof?

    Where did you source the cable?
    Was it OEM or Aftermarket?

    After watching your video, i’ve tried to fix mine, it didn’t work. I had problems to put the roof back in it’s place, do you remember in what position were the plates in the rear part? I left them not perfectly squared with the roof closed, I’m afraid they’ll brake if they are not in their proper position.

    Thanks for the video! I have the same problem and I didn’t know how to remove the sunroof.
    Did you get the cable from a shop? I can’t find a replacement for mine :-(

    That's similar to vintage cadillac sunroof

      I'd imagine a lot of cars do it a similar way. It makes sense.
