I just wonder why anyone would put thumbs down to this? Jealous people maybe? Anyway it was great to see the ligaments and tendons in action. Thanks Gillian and HIO team x
I'll end up watching the first several seconds at the slowest speed many, /many/ times over for the project I have in mind! XD What a supremely helpful video in helping to identify the patterns of tendons and muscles pulling and flexing to create each step; thank you~!
The horse moves very nice for a shod animal. I think without the shoeing and conditioning we would see less reluctance to land incorrectly as evidence at (1:28). The horse is reaching out with the front limbs for landing with the toe pointed too far down, then lands toe first on the right with the digital flexor muscle engaged and very flat footed on the left most likely with the flexor muscle engaged. Over time, with extreme exercise, I would expect this horse to develop navicular problems and lameness first in the right fore because of this compensation created by shoeing.
bmc06239 bla bla bla..still waiting for just one video of you with a horses foot in your hand... sitting in an arm chair being a self proclaimed hoof expert means nothing in the real world blabber mouth...
Absolutely fantastic. Distinctive colors, different angles, multiple shots, drawings absolutely gorgeous, y'all outdid yourselves.
Wowwwwww that’s insane! It’s absolutely mind blowing how much force those tendons and feet take on.
God bless for artists studying anatomy

Thank you Leanne
This is incredible to see this close up! Truly mesmerizing. And a great look at the placement of the feet in various gaits!

Thank you. You should make one of these but with barrel racing.
I expected it to be informative, and was very surprised it was also so much fun.

Thanks for your comments!! It would be interesting to repeat the day with another unshod horse! :-)
