Thank you for this! I’m learning as much as I can on my own, with very limited resources and your knowledge is truly appreciated. I have just started using wire shark, and upon my first installation I noticed a few things. Network wise, there seemed to be 2 active wires, one being my pc? And a second labeled “loop back”, and upon launch there were different colored horizontal stripes. I did something making the colors disappear & am not sure why I’m not seeing eth0 rather a name (network or my pc?) & loopback? What am I doing wrong? I recently updated yesterday to the newest version & still no colors nor IpV4 addresses? This is all very new, and I’m trying to teach myself after the age of 40! lol…any mentors out there?!
