A detailed analysis of Mr. B's Preludes, through Penny's practical solutions and handy metaphors, learning this not easy at all piece, will surely help anyone who tackles it 😉 Another interesting and instructive expertise, of excellent pianist and pedagogue Penny Johnson 🎵❤️🎶 Penny please, keep it up 🙂
I’m not a pianist but a singer and I’m starting to work through some Bach now, namely the St. John Passion. I love your approach to his work, so fascinating! I want to use this method to simplify the music underneath the arias!
Maybe a solution for the thumb alto if you want to do it that way is push in every note. I notice when I do that I get a legato sound, even if there is no physical legato and i can still move quickly enough to the next note. Try it sometime it may work for you may not.
Thank you for the question, Priscila! This time stamp from one of my other tutorials may be helpful: ruclips.net/video/HKLPGuQDZ4Y/видео.htmlsi=fDql-dAl1WqX6Zzk&t=566 And, if by "eyeread the sheets" you mean sight-read, then this video may also be helpful: ruclips.net/user/shortsnBl9Y2NTw1Y Happy practicing to you!
Thank you for sharing your experiences, Mitsuru! The sheet music seen here, is a Henle edition from, I believe, the late-1970s. It's certainly true, that everyone's musical background is different and unique. I'm glad you were able to continue playing your instruments!
And here’s my tutorial for the Fugue!🥰 ruclips.net/video/gnFx5Tlrzag/видео.htmlsi=fxz74yQEIJ-DEjYT

Thank you Bon Weekend
