She's not ready yet since she's still in training, so Asgore and Gaster are filling that seat. Also! Season 3 will have an overarching story, like season 2 did. It will just be a few of these shorter origin stories to teach people a bit about the Prequel setting, and then we'll be going to the main story. --Devour
I mean, as harsh as Roman’s words sound he isn’t really wrong. Gaster didn’t defeat Betty until he went all out (if you rewatch the fight you’ll notice Gaster stood in the same place the whole time.) Also Sans’ died while Gaster was holding back still, so who knows what would’ve happened had he gone all out from the start.
Roman is doing the wrong thing for the right reason. Yes the person he’s teaching Gaster is a lesson everyone needs but the way you go about teaching that lesson is just as important as the lesson itself
@@smileyhappyface5864 yes he was able to do it AFTER lots of collateral damage and breaking point mentally also basically would have killed Papyrus and himself as well which would have defeated the whole purpose of Roman’s entire teaching which, Technically Gaster didn’t even properly finish the job and Ended up with Roman’s way being ineffective. Either way Roman’s teaching Backfired if he fully killed betty and hate immediately he would have killed himself and papyrus which means he didn’t protect his Allies But he didn’t completely kill off his enemy which lead to an even more dangerous threat which ended up with Azzy getting killed (again Roman’s teaching not working) but he survived through his own determination If Gaster had a more Positive less damaging teaching then his magic could have been more efficient and saved more lives due to him being more mentally a stable and more overall healthy emotionally, physically, and mentally.

He did teached gaster but he Just scratched him. And he cant use the red hand power cuz the purple trait is stucking in the legs and shoulders, he cant move by the pain
gaster's character really got fucked up after the surface tbh, what a drastic change, he feels completely different, it only changed back after the training he had.

I was confused at first as to why roman wanted to be killed by his son but looking at it in the game’s perspective gaster would’ve gained LV and EXP from killing his father as it’s why he wanted to be killed just a theory tho.
I thought that since a parent loses a chunk of their magic every time they have a child and gets it back if said child dies, then maybe the same thing applies in reverse: if the parent dies then the child gets the remaining chunk of power. That might explain why he said he won't have enough power, maybe not just emotionally but literally as well since his polychromatism can barely be used right now.
@@darkm007 Camila said that it can't work in reverse. Since the child's magic comes from the parent to begin with, the child wouldn't get any stronger from the parent dying. The only thing I can think of that could make Gaster any stronger than he is here would be if he absorbed a human soul.
