This guy is a fantastic singer
Yup, just fantastic to listen to him
Incredible Singer!
As soon as I heard "In the misty morning", was like oooooh, it's going to be a good one!
I Miss RONNIE. Nice Tribute.
Esse cara canta muito! Poderia muito bem integrar a banda Toto!
MY GOD,...the whole world needs to hear this singer!
Mike Tirelli never ceases to amaze me. Not many people can do Ronnie James Dio’s vocals justice. Rock on, Mike. Rock on 🤘🏻
Well done..but you could tell he had to clinch his butt cheeks a few times
You also forgot David Coverdale cause that’s who sang the Whitesnake song Here I Go Again. But good yep he’s a good singer this Mike Tirelli is.
Yeah considering a lot of Dio’s vocals came from his stomach ? That was pretty impressive .😮 my face the hole time was like that emoji.
Good thing we have voices like Mr Tirelli, Jørn Lande, Dino Jelusic keeping the fire lit
This man may be the greatest singer alive right now.
Jeff Cogswell he is superb. I’m very impressed.
He's great, no doubt, but I'd stop short of saying he's the best.
nope
Jeff Cogswell who the hell is this vocal??
@@JaceFincham I've watched him doing Here I Go Again and now Children Of the Sea, and he absolutely nailed it both times!
This singer is a true professional with a great voice. Why isnt he famous out there ?
Holey smokes, that was great...!
By far the best vocal cover of dio's vocals. My 56 year old friend cried real tears.. choked me up... and I was tearing...
Two old guys crying at 9:00 am on a wednesday morning..
Over a cover song...
Keep em comming.....
hippylong thanks so much!!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
@@miketirelli2117 this and here I go again were just masterclass rock vocals
@@miketirelli2117 Seriously, this is the closest to Dio`s magic I have ever heard so far, among hundreds of covers. You're great, man.
Alberto Fernández Thank you so much Dio
was my favorite!
Same 😂
If you shut your eyes you can almost here the return of RJD, fantastic rendition! More songs from Heaven and Hell please. 👍
Yes, or I would also enjoy something like The Sign of the Southern Cross or Voodoo from Mob Rules.
YES!!!
Or how about Slipping Away 🤘🏼
His vocals are solid and gritty. But he doesn't sound as epic as Dio.
@@applecake122 What the fuck? are you serious? Of course he doesn't sound as epic as Dio, nobody ever did and nobody ever will. But he's absolutely nailed it.
Tirelli is one of the great American metal vocalists. Up there with Carl Albert, John Arch, Midnight, and Geoff Tate. He deserves far more recognition than he gets.
I remember seeing Vicious Rumors (around 91 I believe) at a local bar in Southern Illinois and was so hyped that I got to see Carl. There might have been 50-100 people in the bar that night. They played like there was 5,000. They were the coolest guys. We all got hammered with them, bought em drinks and hung out through the night. We talked influences and so many other topics. I’ll never forget that night and how incredible Carl (Ace) sounded. Talk about a talent taken too soon. RIP Carl Albert. You are truly missed. Never got to see Midnight or John Arch unfortunately. Did get to see Ray Alder on the No Exit Tour though. I think Midnights inner demons just got him. RIP. Great post btw!!!
Bloke doesn't even need to come in with his own rendition or interpretation of Dio's vocals. Just smashes it with the same force and impact. Legendary lad
WOW!!!! That was perfect. Dio is SO hard to sing and this dude nailed it. Not to mention the other musicians were spot on. Amazing
Awesome cover. Singing was excellent.
He's got an amazing voice. When he screams "Look out!" I almost collapsed with excitement
This is a stunning rendition of a Sabbath classic. True craftsmanship from you guys!
Astonishing. The band nailed it... but oh my word Mike "God" Tirelli blew the roof off! Brilliant!
Mike has an AMAZING voice... where else is he found in recordings?? The entire band is FABULOUS... Richie THANKS for all the Helix tips and the great tunes!!!
Mike has sang on a lot of stuff. 3 albums for Jack Starr's Burning Starr in the mid to late 80's, Strider's only album in 1991, 6 albums for Holy Mother in the mid 90's to early 00's, and he's been singing for Messiah's Kiss since 2001.
@@DShiflet01 THANK you kind fellows the Band Geeks! GREAT STUFF!!!
@SabuPtolemy, thanks for the link! And agreed, Band Geeks music is exceptional!
Yes, the vocals are great, but the band nailed this -fantastic!
Mike was in a band I produced called burning starr. I co produced, engineered, and played all the rhythm guitar, lead harmonies and some solos, and synths. The album is called land of the dead. Mike was the singer for them in the 80’s. And I heard riot for a time.! Glad to see he still sings great. I have to say I like his look a lot better now. Killer job as usual guys
Please invite Mike Tirelli back for more RJD. Band Geeks are always incredible but with his voice, you could take it on the road and tons of folks would pay to see you. Til then, stay home and stay safe y’all! Tanto amore. 😷🤘
Man, the last line of "Look out" HOLY S****T. If u close ur eyes u can see Mr. Dio in front of u singing that part.
this dude is operating on a whole 'nother level
SEEN DIO IN 1994 A MIKE IS DEFINITLY ON IT AWESOME BAND LOVE THESE GUYS🎤🎸🥁🎹🎧
This guy's voice is unbelievable
Holy smokes, Mike can sing easily as good as Ronnie James Dio! What a set of pipes!
He's great, but don't get carried away here...
Ugh.....Not Quite. But Very Nice.
😂
Absolutely blown away on how great everyone sounds. Thank you for making my day better with a great Band Geek Sabbath cover.
I can't get over this guy's voice. I also can't get over the raw talent of everyone. There's not enough of these people on RUclips.
This man is damned versatile. RJD and Coverdale are a cakewalk for the man.
This is probably my most revisited RUclips video ever. You guys truly play this song the way it should be played. I admire and respect your work tremendously. Mr. Castellano, the way you play that bass from the bottom of your heart is quite inspring also. It is so obvious that you love what you're doing.
Mike Tirelli is RJD's love child, did a great job all y'all. Particularly like how Richie nailed the Geezer Butler runs throughout. Nice work!
Dio lives in Mike! Simply astounding.
I just listened this song 15 times in a row ! Unbelievable ! I like it better than the orginal. 10/10
Richie......you and Mike need to put "Die Young" on your list of songs to do. I want to hear the spirit of RJD channeled thru Mike again - he is amazing.
This is just impossibly fantastic!
I'm proud to endorse your comment with 'thumbs up number 70! ;-D
@@shocktrooper8443 And I am even prouder to endorse YOUR comment with a thumbs-up of my own, good sir.
Damn! First Mike covers Coverdale without flinching and now he channels Dio! He's a singing superhero!
Wow!!! Dio is my all time favorite vocalist, I saw Black Sabbath in 1980 for their Heaven and Hell tour and since then I've been hooked! You gents really did this tune complete justice, my respects to you all.
Back here 2+ years later, still fantastic. Would be nice to hear some other stuff with Mike. I loved the Whitesnake cover too.
Do these guys tour???? I'd buy immediately to sit back and vegetate to their wizardry over these classics....
I always envisioned Mike helming Black Sabbath. Such an incredible talent.
This group of musicians are mind blowing, and as for the vocals. I'm lost for words. ADELAIDE, AUSTRALIA
Absolutely awesome guys-Mike Tirelli, you are an insanely gifted singer!
I could listen to this guy singing all day long...! Please don't make him stop! Great effort from all of you as usual.
So Mike Tirelli can sound like David Coverdale or Ronnie James Dio ? That’s awesome my minds blown!🤯🤘 that’s awesome and for those who don’t know? This song “children of the sea” was the first sone Ronnie ever made with Black Sabbath after Ozzy was fired from Black Sabbath in 79 and he got out to California right around when Tony Iommi was looking for a new singer and Ronnie happened to be a perfect fit. He wrote this song basically over night for them with Tony and the rest of Black Sabbath .
Just amazing cover... Congratulations guys you fucking rock \m/
After a dry spell from the insane schedules of Richie and the Geeks, we receive a Holiday feast with first Genesis and now a course of Sabbath greatness from Ronnie! 💪🏻🎸🎸🎹🎤🥁🎶👍🏻🎄
Outstanding job all the way around! Life is so very much better with the Band Geek sharing the love of music! 💛 Oodles of appreciation & respect for the prog & now hard rock December diversion from daily chaos and monotony! 🙏🤪
thanks for the kind words!
Thanks Andy. Your own contributions to these performances never disappoint one bit! Wishing the best to y’all, your family, and friends for the Holiday Season!
Merry Christmas to everyone who makes the Band Geek a treasured musical connection for us all. 🎄🎹🎸🎹🥁🎸💚❤️🎄💪🏻👍🏻
@@CaptainBakerJason you too!
I've listened to this song at least 20 times and it continues to blow me away! Everyone's playing is spot on and Mike is simply over the top on the vocals. It's been quite a while since I had heard the original so I fired up Spotify to give it a listen. Wow, I couldn't believe how closely you guys nailed this. I've been binge watching all the Band Geek videos for the past week and this video is definitely in your top five videos. Well done!!!
Nothing to say but you guys are great!
Mind-Blowing! This is perhaps, the best live version of this song in the history of this song. I doubt Sabbath played it this well live, EVER!
Excuse Me?? Great Tribute. Only One RONNIE!
Wow! that, gentlemen was amazing. The lead vocals are off the charts in my opinion. The whole band is amazing, well done by everyone. Not my first listen to this but it’s worth revisiting over and over.👍👍🇨🇦
It sounds like this is the original and Black Sabbath is doing the cover! Sounds great guys! Do more with Mike Tirelli!
OMG, Tirelli is a incredible singer.
Outstanding performance, folks.
Wow! The most similar vocal to Ronnie James Dio! Beautyful! And Full Professional.
No is close of power and vocal consistency of Ronnie but this cover is fantastic.
Yes the singer is good...the whole band is amazing ..everyone commenting on the singer but the whole band was tight...the bass player did an amazing job....to be honest I don't remember Geezer Butler sounding this good...👌🏼 when black sabbath did this album, it was a magical time..the way it came through.....Bill Ward was so wasted when they recorded this album he has mentioned that" he was so hi and drunk that he doesn't even recall being in the studio recording this album" 🤦🏻it's as if they played and sang the music, but their hands and tone was guided by an unseen spirit 🤷🏻...I know it sounds crazy but those albums were legendry / magical 👌🏼it can't be duplicated and it can't be repeated...there was an unseen spirit there...I believe RJD said he was called by a tone of a bell...I was lucky enough to have met Tony Iommi once and when I questioned him about this as he was signing my album, he looked up as he he continued signing and pierced me with his eyes, and his facial expression went completely blank and he said in a very calm calculated voice " some have the ear" a slight pause and continued signing with a slight pause and sigh "to hear" and finished signing my album and just walked away as if he was saddened....I was left puzzled and speechless. i have always questioned myself as to why? was he saddened? as to why his demeanor changed all of a sudden so quickly? was it due to that moment he experienced in his life has passed so quickly??? ... or, if it was because of the unity / creativity of sort that they had experienced had passed??? I'm not sure ...l mean maybe the togetherness as one entity to be so creative was just a fleeting moment. i will never know the true answer???.is it just a song, lyrics, album cover...or is there a deeper spiritual connection with in this music album and lyrics??? or am I just just obsssing over nothing ? did I listen / dream of it so much for so many years that it has etched itself into my consciousness?? ..I'll never know... the way his demeanor changed so quickly it left me speechless .i have relived that brief moment for years now over and over trying to piece it together. he might have had other things on his mind ? he might have heard it before? or maybe i am just overthinking it??? i will never really know... but i know one thing i will always cherish the music they created so quickly and effortlessly. ..RJD has mentioned in many of his interviews how all that music "just came out of nowhere so quickly and effortlessly almost as if it was magic" ...God Bless RIP the great Rodney James Dio...I wish I could spend time with them to get a better deeper understanding of their mind set at that time. amazing unforgettable magical ✨️
Tirelli has got a major badass set of pipes. More of this please! Well played...you should all be proud of yourselves.
Stellar musicianship all around, I've lost track of how many times I've listened to this and Here I go Again
You guys are phenomenal!!! Wow dude got pipes!!! Fucken wow !!!!
The Bank Geeks and guest musicians and singers are the absolute best thing happening to music today. I've played drums and guitar for over forty- five years and you blow me away with every song!!!
Dude!!!
You just channelled Ronnie James himself!! An amazing cover!
Ronnie and David rolled into one. Very impressed. Definitely left me wanting more.
More cover songs with Mike Tirelli please!
Yesssssssssssssssssss - thank you! Literally takes me back to my virgin listen, late spring, 1980, Gordon Graydon High School, Mississauga, Canada. Mr Dio, RIP.
This singer is awesome I’d like be to hear him sing “Rainbow In The Dark”
Damn, he killed that vocal...
I was beginning to give up on a new Band Geeks any time soon. But alas here it is and it doesn't disappoint! Mike did an awesome job on vocals. RJD would be proud.
These guys just fukin around. And killin it
Man, that is a cool tune, cool riff, cool melody - just plain cool! I forgot how good Black Sabbath is, and this band does it so much justice. Great job guys, truly among the best!
Outstanding ... Can't be put into words. Madness...
guitar solo also fantastic!
Richie.... you need to get this guy signed with someone!! One hell of a singer. DAMN!!
The whole ensemble is killer, as usual, but Mike's vocals are absolutely stellar and dead-on. Dude, Mike, go look up the King Witch lead singer and you two do a duet, the world will probably end shortly thereafter! Bravo everyone!
That was all sorts of awesome, and as a longtime RJD fan, made my heart smile. And cry because he's gone. But this did it up right.
I absolutely love Dio era Sabbath. You guys sound amazing man. Well done! Do Voodoo please!!!!
Damn...I was ready to stand up in my chair and start rocking out
Wow ... watched this a dozen times ... just brought back my youth listening to Ronnie
Mike Tirelli ... you have some pipes and need your own rock band behind you
F*ck.. Who is this guy? Nailing the high clean notes of a younger David Coverdale and has the evil tone of Dio, and i'll be damned if there wasn't a little piece of Tony Martin in there too from Headless cross.. Just waited for the slip into cheesy land...but it never came... Damn, i'm impressed Mike, keep it burning!
One of my favorite RJD songs ever! You guys really swung for the fences on this one and knocked it out of the park! Andy may be Iommi's long lost son. Awesome job by all of you!
Singer is good . Like how he knows he's range and can hold it there to give it hes own touch to this amazing song . You made it sound great
These guys absolutely F'ing KILLED it! The singer in next level.
Holy shit this guy kills this!!!
Only 2 other vocalists that I've heard come as close as DIO doing this song are Jorn Lande and Dino Jelusic. This guy nailed this big time!
Jorn and Dino are both amazing singers and both friends of mine. 👍🏻👍🏻
Have you ever heard of mr Russell Allen? Not sure if he sang this song exactly, but definitelly lots of Dio's songs.
@@diogobfonseca Russell Allen is a fantastic singer and a great guy.
@@miketirelli2117 He really is. I've met the guy in one of his workshops. So down to earth and humble. By the way, your performance was so effing good. Damn you can sing, sir!
@@diogobfonseca Allen-Lande. Amazing combination.
Growing up in the 80s, I was a HUGE Mötley Crüe fan, but even I knew that Vince Neil wasn't the most gifted singer. He got the job done and he was the perfect voice for what type of band Crüe was and the style of music they played. I listened in amazement to guy's such as Dio ( Leather Lungs ), Rob Halford ( The Metal God ), Bruce Dickinson ( The Air Raid Siren ), David Coverdale, Sebastian Bach, Miljenko Matijevic, Steve Perry and a plethora of others.
Amazing cover, outstanding Mike. Should have recorded a studio album with Riot back in the day.
Been "in music" for 38 years...speechless here!!!
Saw the Here I go again Whitesnake cover very impressed Superb vocals and oh so tight band .Ive see Whitesnake many times as well as Sabbath and Purple . You guys are really buying into this great rock music 300% appreciated
Adrian Starks 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻👍🏻👍🏻
@@miketirelli2117 500% appreciated.
Drummer getting a super big fat deep sound with what looks like a very simple electronic rig. Bravo.
I had the pleasure of playing guitar in a Dio tribute on Long Island with him called Sacred Heart...I only did 2 shows with them but the guy can sing like a champ...clearly...lol...I remember we were doing Sign of the Southern Cross in practice and just hearing him sing that made the hair on my arms stand up. It was killer! Being a huge Sabbath & Dio fan it was a treat.
I came here from their cover of Here I Go Again. I thought that was great. But this BLEW ME AWAY! This guy ROCKS!😎🤘
That. Gave. Me. Chills.
Damn that boy sure can sang.
As a bass, I am very jealous of the ease with which Mike hits these notes. Singing Dio is really hard, but he makes it look easy.
Thank you. Please follow me.
One of my favorite guitar intros. Remember hearing it in college for the first time, long long ago.
Sound Engineering off the charts!
Outstanding. This guy is a great singer in the Dio / Coverdale range. Do more from both artists with him!
Otimofication thank you so much!🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
i watched this again and just want to add that the guitar, bass and drumming is out of sight, as well -- especially that tasty bass groove ... you guys really outdid yourselves.
Wow... This is the cleanest and best cover of this "Black Sabbath" classic.
Holy wow! Amazing all around!
The best hit band I've ever seen. Unbelievable that it doesn't have a million subscribers. Hugs from Brazil
Doug Sen thanks!🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
@@miketirelli2117 Great job on the vocals, and on Here I Go Again as well. You absolutely nailed Coverdale's scream on the latter. Well done, and can we hear more please?
Look at the eyes of Richie at 4'56, he is so amazed like "god, it's fucking good !"
Mike Tirelli is fantastic singer !
Tho vocals gave me goosebumps! Awesome cover!
Real great chemistry going on here.
HELL YA!!! That's what the fuk is up... Great job guys.. For real.. The Mighty Black Sabbath is my all time favorite band.... The Dio Sabbath ain't no joke in my opinion .. And you dudes just fkn owned it!! Respect to each of you.. Keep Rockn!!
Hurrah ! A new Band Geeks video.
2:49 That run Ritchie,
