- In hindsight, I should've put this segment in Sportsball. I didn't anticipate the trade deadline to be that hectic in terms of player movement (for the NFL's standards), so figured this would be a good way to lose my mind a bit more. Nobody ever said I was smart.
This was a game. A game involving two teams that can (somehow) lead the NFC South with a win. What do you get when you mix two teams that shouldn't be in the positions they're in, a self-destructing Bucs group, and a kicker choosing to go wide?
You get redundancy. I wasn't kidding: This year will kill me.

I swear to god, this season feels like it's been written by D&D after they ran out of George RR Martin material.
To be honest, I’ve never really cared much for the super bowl, awarding or otherwise.

We Falcons fans can’t go one game without nearly having a heart attack. Thankfully we survived this one but in the end we shouldn’t have because we are the Falcons.

Seriously. Forget heart attacks, this team gave Georgia a heart attack, everyone died, and then everyone came back thanks to Lazarus Syndrome. How in the hell does Carolina manage to get a hail-fucken-Mary, then a questionable call, choke the kick, lose the coin, snag a serious pick to drive it all the way to a routine chip-shot kick in this league, and choke it again?
Fuck any given Sunday, 2022 season, it's EVERY fucking Sunday.

As a Panthers fan, I was just mad we almost won.

This game was a terrific comedy of errors that is incredibly funny and entertaining for anybody casually watching but incredibly stressful and aggravating for fans of either team.

The Panthers are notorious for these kind of games. The teams you think will stomp them, the Panthers would magically beat them. The teams you think they'll beat, the Panthers will find some way to lose to them. This game is no different. As a Panthers fan, I went in cautiously optimistic but by the fourth quarter, I felt hyped as hell. I still love my team, but I should have known better that some BS would happen in the end to pull the rug out from under us.

Every year, there’s a tank division.
This year, we have a tanking Panthers, a rebuilding Falcons, a crumbling Bucs, and the Saints without Payton and Brees. And they can all easily win the division.
The Shield used Amazon’s $13 billion to give script writers a raise.
I was honestly expecting the NFC North to be the tank division this year with our half new couching heads and other bumbling. I did not expect my Viking to be leading the division by 3 games halfway through the season >.>

As an XFL fan, I'm so glad that PJ Walker was able to create such a highlight reel play. He definitely didn't lose the game for the Panthers.

to be honest the most surprising thing out of this game is that... it was kind of unironically good
for two normally defensive teams in the tank division seeing a 70+ point total is crazy, outside of the two missed kicks it was a great showing from two rebuilding teams
if not for the blown call leading to the bad kick, this'd be a storybook ending with a record setting throw

The NFC South took the "Tank Division' title from the NFC East this year (IDR who had it in 2021). They can feel free to keep it as long as they want.
Jacksonville had the Tank Bowl title.
I don't know if there's any official criteria to determine "Tank Division," but the AFC South and NFC North had the lowest average wins per team at 7 and 7.5 in 2021.

As a Falcons fan, I'm so glad I was in the middle of nowhere and had no connection to watch this game. I most certainly would have been hospitalized....but no matter how you get there, we're in first place all the same
This one hurt, but at least Carolina isn't laying down and dying midway through the third like they'd do under Rhule. Just hope with the relatively easy schedule after Cincy we can go on a run like we did when made the playoffs from 3-8-1. Because tanking sucks and never works. So much better to win as much as possible.

after the rams left stl, i havent had a team to support, but after mariota became the starter for atlanta, i became a falcons fan. im surprised that more people arent psyched about his return as a starter. his runs are fun to watch, and although hes no vick, hes close enough for me lol
