I am happy you liked the datapack. With rest of the lightning conversions, you cant hit the mob directly, the conversion happens if the lightning stroke withing 3 blocks(4 for mobs with low health)
I would make it so you can hit the mob directly, but it was not possible with datapack EDIT: it would be possible, but it would create much more lag and it would be difficult
@@mmm12456 Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe you can set up a custom advancement using a generator that activates when a certain mob is hit by channelled lightning, and from that you can easily just summon the respective mob
It does work on bedrock below build limit. In bedrock, any rain in a non-warm biome turns to snow, and works like snow above y-160 or something. In java, this height is y-600.
In vanilla, if you ring a bell while there is a raid going on, not only will all the villagers run inside (that's of course the known one), but pillagers will ALSO glow, and you'll be able to see them through the ground and walls
I could see the mooshroom conversion working, but just crafting makes it much to easy to get, ideally you would want something hard enough that most players would still decide to go and find the mushroom biome
I think the thing that impresses me most about Flatworld is the dedication you have to it. I can barely keep a regular world in minecraft going for more than a couple weeks at best, and you've been running for actual years The amount of manual labor needed to make the things you have is mindboggling
Just realised, you would be PERFECT for Hermitcraft, actually EDIT: If everyone can do #Mogswamp4Hermitcraft, we might be able to get him detected by the hermits??
this datapack is really cool and actually fits into the game so well. Maybe for deepslate they should make it so that cobble generators produce deepslate when operating below y=0
Ooh I've heard that one before, but honestly I think Minecraft can do better than that and find another way, because then it would be impossible to cobblestone and much faster to break.
Maybe it should just be something like what they did with basalt, where it forms when lava and water touch over a certain block. Like sculk or something
When doing a raid if you can't find a pillager. Just ring the bell that most villages have and it will put a glow effect on pillagers allowing you to find them
It looks like the mobs that failed to convert happened because you killed them in one hit. So you could still get those mobs, you'd either have to wait for natural lightning or reduce your damage to them (potions of weakness for you and potions of turtle master for the mob).
I would prefer if you could just fish up prismarine shards and stuff. Sure, it's nice to have every mob but at the end of the day parity with other game features is more important + the blocks matter most.

love your videos. your way of talking and your enthusiasm lift my mood a bit; which actually means a lot since I´m pretty depressed currently. thanks for making videos!
Mogswamp, have you tried using the April fools update to get some of the impossible items/animals? Villagers trade all sorts of weird stuff, and I think you could get most things you’re missing. (They trade animals)
you couldn't get the parrot etc because the mob died from the trident before the lightning could hit the mob You can hit another mob near to the bat / sheep / ... to covert it
Craftable Deepslate makes it renewable because 1. You can make a basalt generator 2. You can either get lava for obsidian by making a lava farm or get it from Piglin Bartering.
I feel like a decent chunk of these would be solved by making super flat worlds have actual biomes. Not sure how that would handle the underground ones, since you start so low. Maybe having the world actually start at a higher height and making the death barrier lower so you can break the bedrock to access them late game, but that might kind of screw up world conversion, so maybe not. But, underground biomes aside, adding the above-ground biomes should help; it's basically like Skyblock rules at that point. And, like some of the other comments said, varied heights for cobble generators producing deep slate, burning a bush to make a dead bush, and just expanding the wandering trader and bone meal tables a bit should cover most of the rest of the items that are intended to be farmable while being still pretty vanilla.
I suggested this idea in the "unobtainable things" video. Simply generate the biomes as they would, but in a superflat. That way, the grass colour would change indicating a new biome, and mushroom fields would generate mycelium instead of grass, as would deserts with sand. This would also renew bamboo, as I believe fishing in jungles yields bamboo. For the cave biomes, you can trade dripstone and moss from traders, so the entire biome's resources are renewable, minus the blossom, and the skulk in upcoming 1.19.
This is a bit of a random thing but i watched one of your other videos when you were trading with villagers. And a usefull tip is that if you hold shift and enter while clicking in the slot the gives the output then you will be able to trade a lot faster
The thing is, if it's a datapack, it's still half-vanilla, I may only use datapacks for quality of life things, usually on the indicator side of things, but it's using non-modified game versions. So it's still considered mainly vanilla, you could do all this with command chains, like the old way of making these, but datapacks condense that. I think it's one of the coolest additions for creators.
If you can already get Elder Guardians then you don't need the Endstone-sponge conversion thing, as Elder Guardians already have a chance of dropping sponges.
