True, 3DO's graphics were nowhere near the standard at the time the High Heat series were released. But HH was the purest baseball simulator on the market -- the best choice for anyone who was sick of the arcade style of EA's series where Jason Giambi would end the season with 113 home runs.
For fans of SIM baseball, high heat always was a good game. Graphics or otherwise, with EA being pretty bad at that point and Sega's 2k was still at the point where you couldn't control the defense (to my recollection). I miss the HH games, honestly. I don't think I could play them now- because of the graphics more than anything (they're just distracting)- but back then... I had the Sosa one, the Vlad one, the one with Schilling on the cover... good games.
Sorry, but I have to butt in ... any of the MVP games, ESPN Baseball, MLB 2k7, any All-Star Baseball game, MLB 06 and MLB 07 ... hell, I'd even go so far as to say Home Run King is better than this piece of garbage.
This game was made fun. Had like everyone in it. Always loved when the catcher randomly attacked the runner 😂

@Speedygi MLB 2k, MVP Baseball, Baseball for the NES, High Heat 2004, Hell I am even willing to say Backyard Baseball.
... 2 years later. Jesus Christ.
No but I can say they're NOT 27 time champions. Unfortunately I have to say the Red Sox won again.
MLB 07 The Show, The Bigs, heck even MLB 2K7 would most likely be better, and that received pretty bad reviews.
what a horrible game. crowd is fantastic and the bat doesnt even hit the ball. i feel sorry for people who bought this game.
Are you kidding me? Every other baseball game ever made is better. Look at the review for Tommy Tallarico on Judgement Day.
