    Creed tells it like it is. Much respect to him for that. That being said the Nashville of today won't give him the time of day. They're afraid he might embarrass them like Paycheck or Coe

    Perfect song to kick off the weekend! While I prefer the bluntness of Outlaw country, I also enjoy the poetry of folk and alt-country, as well as the realism of traditional country. Bottom line is this...good music is not going to come from a "yes-man". Nashville turned Country into an industry, its' songs just a product prioritized on making money, and the artists...just talented puppets..."yes-men".

    I'm an old (50) country fan, and I've tried to listen to what is considered country today, but just because you call it country don't mean it's country. You can dress it up any way you want, but pop music is pop music, even if the singer is wearing a cowboy hat. As you 've noted on other videos, and I've said for years, country is about the story, not the music, and if you can't hear the words because the music is overpowering, to me, that's not a good country song. Also, there's only so many songs I can listen to about getting drunk, dirt roads, parties, hot girls in skimpy outfits, and similar topics before I've heard enough. A lot of this newer stuff sounds the same to me, and they all talk about the same things. It's the same song, different singer, over and over. I don't need deep, heartfelt, soul-searching songs all the time, I like the light-hearted, funny, just listen to for a good time songs, but I want them different from each other. Older country used the lyrics to let you draw a picture of what's happening without slapping you in the face and just straight up telling you, forcing you to see what they want you to see in their songs.Well, that's my two cents worth, and it's worth about what you paid for it. Good reaction, good song, thank you, I'd never heard it before.

      I think you're ignorant!!! Yes there is a lot of crap now that isn't Country, but there is alot of what you so called old times, which you're only 3 years older than me, is the same ole stuff Alan Jackson, Joe Diffie, Tim Macgraw, and Garth Brooks have been singing for years!!! If you want to sit back at home and listen to the slow drawn out traditional country music that great!!! Nobody wants to listen to she stopped loving her today on the radio while cruising down the road!!! I love that song and George Jones by the way!!! Just in case you have been sleeping for the past 50 years the world has sped up buddy!!!

      @@tommyward7471 Whew! I wouldn't put Alan in the same category of any of the others you listed. And as far as riding down the road listening to "She Stopped Loving Her Today", well! LOL! We ALL have heard country music has evolved, over , over and over. Enough of that crap! Country music should always stick to it's roots. There's a reason why rock music is dead now. It evolved too much and now all we have is old rock stations that only play the classic rock songs. You can't find any new rock music/bands played on the radio, although there are plenty of them still making great music. John Anderson just released a fantastic album that sounds light years better than anything most of the public considers "country music" these days! Check it out!

    • @RockN2Country

      @Grey Harbor Lures Thanks for the rec of Billy. I did a reaction to "Little Maggie" a while back, and after about three months of the video being up I received a notice from RUclips that they had been contacted by Billy's people. The message from RUclips was unclear, as they usually are, but the clear part was that if Billy's people asked RUclips to take the video down I would receive a copyright strike, which is a bad thing for those of us who react to songs. So I've got Billy on hiatus for now. This is a shame because I loved the song and him as an artist. Maybe down the road things will change, so we'll see. Thanks again, and welcome to the channel! --Don

    I'll just second what Daryl and David said. Ha!
    I liked this alright.. it's not anything special really but if it came on the radio as I was driving down the old dirt road in my pickup to get drunk and party with girls...... I wouldn't change the station.

    Other songs that extol the virtues of traditional country are "Nashville's Gone Hollywood" by Heather Myles, "Nashville Rash" by Dale Watson and "If That's Country" by Dallas Wayne and to better effect, I think.

    there's traditional country, outlaw country and southern rock....everything else is just "RURAL POP" or just Pop. People always ask me "why do you make such a big deal about it? it still sounds a little country". It's the principal, these jokers don't get to claim country because they use a little twang in a boy band song or a little twang in a hip hop song and then show up to the CMA's and take home awards and recognition away from real country music artist. It's BS. Take your shit to the VMA's or MTV music awards or any where else they don't play OR RECOGNIZE country artist. There's genres for a reason, stay in your lanes.

    Why did you not give it a rating? Fucking hell even on RUclips people afraid to give honest opinions without being scared to get in trouble

    • @RockN2Country
      @RockN2Country  4 года назад

      @Ryan Lucey You jumped the gun on that one. Not afraid at all, as evidenced by me rating around 90% of the songs I react to. I don't rate songs that are done in honor of others, I don't rate patriotic songs, and I don't rate my first reaction to a song of an artist after they've passed away.
