Most Us based documentaries have become nearly unbearable somwhere during the 2000's. Which is a shame, since they have a good budget. But they seem to assume the intelligence of their audience is at Kndergarten level. And of course they repeat half the earlier flm on every ad break.
How is this not making people think why anything we see about space on tv may not be true?!?! Flat earthers always say about what images we see about space on tv."its cgi. It's fake" they get ridiculed. Yet here we arelitterally looking atpeople showing us that what we see on tv about space is cgi and camera trickery and everyone just goes "cool"!!! Amazing. They fake space and no one wants to admit we have the technology to fake it.
@@always_trust_all_scientists lol if anyone who thinks anything about it was fake well the moon landing wasn't fake neither was any of the other ones if you want to prove that it is fake then look up the sky you can clearly see the planets and other stars and there are difference in size because of how some of them are farther than the other and yet flat earthers say that they are all just sticked to the sky like a luminous bulb it's stupid, flat earth doesn't exist and it's a good thing these people are still a minority or else humanity would still be stuck in stone age 😉.
Just wow! You guys are AMAZING, GENIUS, INCREDIBLE... and I can't even describe how I'm so obsessed with your work for this!! Blessed to witness this in my era!! Thank you BBC!!
Absolutely amazing what goes on behind the scenes to give us such beautiful graphics. I thought everything was just CGI but that doesn't seem to be the case. When you watch an episode, you kind of take it for granted. Modern documentaries with their stunning graphics and great music soundtracks have come a long way.
What a piece of work is a man How noble in reason How infinite in faculties... I think these 3 lines captures how amazing your work is. You have managed to capture the INFINITY of the universe on a TV. Tablet. A phone. But it is your INGENUITY that amazes me. Here’s the proof: You used a fork to “stir” up the atmosphere. FKNG awesome. TRULY, TRULY awesome.
Wow I really thought the use of practical effects in this way was dead a long time ago. That the corporations that made movies would never decide quality visuals are more important than profit. But here comes the BBC once again to blow me away
And the whole time i had the impression that the BBC had invented a time machine and travelled 4,6 billions year back in time just to capture the scenes!
I've seen the full series and I thought everything was CGI (except those few composite shots of oceans and mountains)... No wonder then that the effects looked so good and - ehm - natural.
*The Planets: First Look Trailer is stunning and it has a lot of comments that the show is mostly made of VFX and CGI and not actually filmed out there. By showing these behind the scenes and production, BBC finally admits that these are all fakes!*
I probably shouldn't have watched this. I like to pretend there were real cameras billions of years ago catching all this and now the illusion is gone.
8:55 - So bright lights, small sets, slow motion... gotcha. That's cool and it looks great... but those things all magically line up on a small budget, and I get the feeling some of the decision was because of budget more than being 100% realistic and accurate. Real space is dead, dark, empty, boring... you gotta have a little "star wars and star trek" to make it even watchable lol
So flat earthers are right. Cgi movie magic. I wish RUclips still tracked how many dislikes acomment gets cause I'd like to know how many hates this comment got .
NASA has done it before. The only difference is that they used some cheaper techniques as well, like color grading images from Mojave desert and... "Here are some images from Mars. It looks surprisingly similar to earth, especially Mojave desert."
@@Brendissimo1 I ment some of the effects they're using, like the petrol, colors and solvents, have already been used by NASA in Jupiter images. But I agree with you. I will edit my comment.
Ohh "god" can creationists please go enjoy your videos please and leave us to enjoy ours? There is no mention of "god" in this series because it is science-based and until you can show evidence of a "god" or godlike being it will not be mentioned on scientific documentaries. Plus no one is stopping you from making your own documentaries, just don't expect us to watch them. Thank you.
Why do British people pronounce 'Drawing' as,....'DRO-RING'? There's a difference between the sounds produced by "w" in the middle of a world and "r" In this instance, the "w" is almost silent (or at least it should be if you follow the rules of how to pronounce it with other words where it appears in the middle of the word in between two vowel syllables. think,...."Tower",...or ....."Away"). So whenever a British or English person pronounces "drawing" and you hear that hard "r" in there, it's just jarring.

Glad to see that there are still VFX studios who don‘t create all scenes as Full-CGI shots!
It looks a lot like the moon landing.
Oh yeah so true.
These people are so lucky to have such interesting and fun jobs

Excellent work with the visuals. Didn’t feel man made one bit. They looked both natural and fantastical in the final shot.

So your saying a camera didn't record all of the history of the Solar System?
Wow

When it's aired and were to find it online??
I'm honestly surprised at just how much work with practical effects this show does. I assumed it was all CGI.
