Hi. Just checking if this did the job. I need to do a similar repair.

Hi @gabzilla8316, the polymarble base is solid all they way through hence don't get it confused with an acrylic shower base, that said, PC-11 is the product I used for this temporary fix which came from Bunnings in Australia. Wherever you are located just type into Google search for PC-11 and it will come up with available locations. Product originates out of the USA and I expect Protective Coating Company products are available globally. At this stage it is doing the job but as noted it is a temporary fix, not a long-term solution to the problem. The crack was enlarged with a Dremel tool grinding bit followed after with a Dremel "562" tile cutting bit to enlarge the crack depth for the PC-11 to get a solid join. Hope this helps. Cheers, James

@@JamesEllis-qd1kp thanks for this. Does that mean you wouldn’t recommend it for an acrylic shower base?… Presumably because the base isn’t sufficiently supported under? (I’ve seen some people drill holes and put expanding foam under to add extra support so thinking of giving that a go for my temp repair!ps. I’m Aus based.

Hi @@gabzilla8316, yes, acrylic base to be fully supported and then using PC-11 or an acrylic resin in the cracked area, that said, you would need to make sure the support material doesn't get eaten away (react) with the crack repair material. Hope the temporary fix goes well. Cheers, James
