I think it's Orr, Gretzky and Lemuiex (sp?) Didn't Lemuiex have a 199 point season? I remember he used to lead the league in scoring by a wide margin despite missing over 20 games. I don't have his stats in front of me but if you looked at his peak versus Gretzky's I would bet that their points per game average was pretty close, and no other player is anywhere near them.
What about the # 69 ? Besides Orr was a good forward not a D man, as a true D. he was lousy. Gretzky was good for his time with the Oilers when he was on the ice for 45 mtes and helped by a great team + thank the gods dear him he always had a bouncer at close hand (lol). Proof ? What did he do in LA ? Nothing !
No athlete should get a league to retire one athlete’s number unless the societal difference they made was so impactful that it was Jackie Robinson-like.
@@christrudell7966 .. a lonely great player, sure ! he could have been the star of the Ice Capades swingin his azzz alone all over the rink. Great show !
Both Orr and Gretzky say that Howe was the best ever. Wayne idolized Howe, he wanted to be Howe as a kid. Bobby is gracious and humble. We here know Orr was the best.
There will never be another Bobby Orr he made the nhl famous greatest talent ever if not for all those knee operations one could only imagine gretsky was great but or was the greatest he did everything gretsky did better except he hit people and fought to what a legand
Beautiful but. The skates should have been the ones they wore in the early 70’s. And honestly. It should’ve been a younger Bobby Orr face. That would’ve made it even more authentic. just my opinion.
Haha, I felt very secure when Orr was back on defense, and he could get back even after going behind the other net. Orr made spectacular defensive plays.
@@catholiccowboy8545 Heh..what does that even mean? One player team? His Bruins teams were 1-2-3-4 in scoring....TWICE. Esposito, Hodge, Cashman, Bucyk? You ever heard or these guys? They were OK players you think? You obviously don't know the subject of the late '60s and '70s Bruins, or that era of NHL hockey and you sure haven't seen much of Orr's play except offensive highlights. His contemporary opponents praised his defensive skills. Very effective defenseman according to them, but no, you know better, lulz. Not his fault the other team couldn't get the puck away from him much. Maybe they should have played better hockey, or gotten better players huh? @@bbb462cid Ok for Boston but here in Montreal and in those days Orr was just an ordinary self-centered player who liked to do his little Ice Capades show. In Montreal it was the team first and a player was never more important than the club.
Thank you for posting this. When they say the "Greatest" I think of three players immediately. #9, #4, #99.

@@matthewmead2374 Lemuiex is one of the greats, no question, but the #9 I think of is Gordie Howe. You're right on with Bobby and Wayne.

Beautiful creation 💛🖤
Beautiful tribute to the beautifully talented Bobby Orr…👍💝
HOW CAN THE NHL ALLOW ANYONE TO WEAR NIMBER 4 the greatest athlete of all time. He was the greatest and made the league what it is today
Absolutely. Only proof you need is watching the man outskate everyone and by himself kill off a penalty! Amazing to watch
Orr was a good forward not a D man. The Montreal CH made the league and nothing else.

Get serious, he sits on a toilet and shits just like the rest of us.
I agree just like mlb should not let anyone where number 3 and the nfl. Number 12 ruth was the one who made mlb brady the nfl not jackass robinson
In the '76 Canada Cup Bobby Hull said Orr was the best player on the ice.
Even with one leg working...
..ok he had only one leg working but his two feet worked well at the time.
@@catholiccowboy8545 oh yes CC.

.. did you know that the Montreal CH has always had at least 4 or five Orrs on its team ?
Geez, I have trouble putting Ikea furniture together.
.. because you are not Orr ! Try with skates on !
gorgeous
Been a Die Hard Blackhawks fan since 1970 had the utmost respect for Bobby. I for maybe more Bobby did not look right in a Blackhawk sweater.

The skate blades back then had 3 attachment posts as I remember, plus the blade had a "tail" that extended behind the rear post.
You called it with the skates. How’d he get that wrong? The artist must not have been a hockey fan
Meet Armand in situate got that picture signed by him and Bobby Orr
Good for you. Now learn to spell Scituate.
I missed the c I lived there for 30 years
Incredible
"The Greatest"
WoW ! Show us the famous joke strap !
