@@johnperic6860 unaccepting and being racist are quite different. in the West, they take you in then treat you like second class citizens. or worse, they enslave you first. i think China's method of helping Africa to develop is better than the European model, which was mostly natural resource extraction. China's method require no social engineering, and it is also very profitable.
@@johnperic6860 1. when you refer to the Jim Crow laws, you are contradicting yourself about the preferable treatment of Blacks in the same country. 2. the only way to measure or compare China's measures or policies against western policies is the results that African countries achieve. So far, they have attained greater and better growth than the west has attained in over almost 400 years. this is the result of cooperation, not colonization. 3. yes, there will be perceptions of inferiority or superiority anywhere in the world. The African man will be maltreated in China as the Chinese man will be maltreated in African countries because of preexisting social structures that operate on the basis of competition or exclusion. my point about racism is not that people have or do not harbour such perceptions or beliefs, but whether such beliefs are translated into inequitable policies or measures. you can't equate closed borders with racism if the perceptions that enforce those borders aren't used in a systematic way to subjugate a people. as far as I know, none of the Chinese companies operating in Africa are putting Africans into slavery. No shackles, no violence. They might not behave like the locals do or fully respect the local customs, but there is no evidence that they are breaking any of the local laws like the Europeans did. 4. many of the Africans who are maltreated or evicted in Guangzhou had "lost" their passports because they did not want to pay to extend their VISA. this is an issue of local governance, and does not reflect "systematic racism." the African suburb in that port-city, from what I can tell, will be there for a very long time and remain quite vibrant. 5. the best way to ease the tensions in Guangzhou is the development of African capital. Once African corporations begin to operate in China and to hire Chinese locals, the identity of that suburb will evolve. It is likely that the Chinese government will change it into a special economic zone or something of that nature where Africans who wish to become Chinese will be able to do so after a very long time. maybe double or triple the length of naturalization in the United States, which is around 10 years. will the Chinese state actively promote immigration from Africa? no, it won't. why? because the population in China far exceeds its natural carrying capacity (pre-modernization). China won't need to become a country of immigrants unless it falls under something like 600 million. by that time, Africa would have already become modern or post-modern. why would anyone want to leave Africa then?
Light rails a good but I hope they also incorporate streetcars like what we have here in Toronto . They are much better for city commute. Light rails should be used for longer trips. Our Streetcars: ruclips.net/video/TMM3n80hTQw/видео.html
The light rail isn't working out too well many people use it without buying a ticket. As it stands its impossible to pay back the loan we took to build it since its not making any money.
@@andymelaku4218 Come on dude. Of course its making money. So many people benefit from it, it helps the overall economy in indirect ways. Public transportation is one of those essentials things any country that wants to develop must have regardless if you think it's not making any money or not. The problem I see many African country is guilty of, is marketing public transportation as something for the poor. Here in Canada it's marketed to eveyone regardless of your status.
@@KillahManjaro what i meant was people are riding it for free they aren't buying tickets. I'm not saying they should get rid of the light rail, but they should make sure everyone going into the train has a ticket.
@@andymelaku4218 lol. That's so funny! That's what happens here with the new TTC Streetcars. In the new Streetcars you don't really interact with the driver because he/she is shield off from the public. in each Streetcar you have designated areas where you can purchase tickets but people don't even bother sometimes. they do have cameras and TTC ticket inspectors that get on the Streetcars at random stops but people still do it. what they need in those African countries are a monthly/weekly/day pass and make sure you can purchase them at authorized stores that’s all over the city. Proof of payment video: go 2 min in: ruclips.net/video/qqeNUy13hAc/видео.html I'm sure they will get it right, it's one of those things you have to go through. That was why the Italian facists occupation was successful for 5 years until they got kicked out.

The passengers both in Ethiopia and China were not staring at you because you are different but because you were recording them without their permission.
@@johnperic6860 china is not a country of immigrants - you have to be exceptionally adapted to be accepted into their nation
Not the case in China, China they state because they have misconceptions about blacks in Africa it's because of the camera

I hope that cities in Africa keep getting more and more light rails. Nothing quite like good public transport.
Proof of payment video: go 2 min in: ruclips.net/video/qqeNUy13hAc/видео.html
I'm sure they will get it right, it's one of those things you have to go through. Hopefully the people that are in charge of these systems are using system in the developed world as test cases.
