Well actually in a Jax McCleary animated short they showed a ship that was infested with crabs. Maybe they'll add it maybe not
to be honest .,. i think this is an aspect that is totally missing currently .. i would totally love it if we can some day find anthills in the woods with actual ant-streets and stuff ... but in general i would appreciate bugs .. i'd like some cicadas on a planet with an actually lush forest filled with rivers and lakes and a ton of wet patches and mosquitos and snakes and all that good stuff that actually makes a place feel a bit too alive ... lets call it space-Japan ^^
actually if they made it something that was some what small week and hostile it would be quite good something to make you think when you leave your ship open
@@Maverrick2140 I’d like to be able to actually get to a planet by being able to retrieve my ship or perhaps not fall through the planet once I could get there. CIG sees you saying that so we get space ants biting us as we fall through our hangars.

@@barryr.9354 I mean, I will never say Star Citizen is bug free, but I am pleasantly surprised by the stability of 3.24. It's a lot better than previous patches.

Just keep in mind, every "cow" takes bandwidth per server ticket, where they already have loads of problems keeping the update rate with the expected user experience. Just think of how successful Xenothreat has been.
Maybe thry want the tickrate to be 4.0 when 4.0 releases?
Also keep in mind that their goal is a dynamically meshed environment where that won't matter. You don't plan for failure

well these kind of things kinda work with crafting but like a lot of things it would be nice but unless you have the content to support it you cant really do it

Even for me (a longtime backer) recent developments have completely tapped me out for not only playing the game but also watching content about it since we know everything they put out is a mixture of things that wont happen or wont happen for years.

I would love for them to transition into charging for cosmetic and decoration stuff rather than ships. I bought so much cosmetic sh** for Elite and SWTOR a few years ago. If CIG doesn't do this, they underestimate how much people like to personalize stuff. With apartments, ship customization, character customization, clothing, etc. this is such a gold mine for them to monetize.
As long as I can earn everything in game at a reasonable pace i am fine with this idea :)

Feel sorry for Jared so much, as this project keeps drowning its self in more complex nonsense. I dont know what to say anymore. I can honestly say ive never made a bad investment till i found SC. Almost anything else i could flip and recoup a certain percentages so i consider it acceptable. Its my fault but man i remember that dreamer stage with SC, was a great time and unmatched. I dont think that feeling will ever be back even at half of what it was.

CIG should hold an artist contest where some of the most popular tattoos will get added to the game. (Excluding some crazy Boaty McBoatfaces so to speak, and copyrighted stuff of course)

I like how James Cameron built his own alien planet. Each animal has common characteristics to others, like fours eyes, nose is a hole in chest, six limbs and that USB tail thing. Of course they can evolve new features, but these here are way too different. Did life evolved from single celled multiple times and we mixed and matched animals from differente systems and they just lived on another planet like no problem? Why dont they all have little eggs on its belly, or four eyes like that monstrous predator?

ALso, this game is 14 years into development with the basic UI design still being worked on, and flight model still in tier 0 "lol we still have no fking idea what to do with it" stage.
Space Cows is not something anybody should be working on or worried about... How about putting those animators to work on animating the doors so they can open and close partially when landed on uneven slope? Or a number of other situations in the game where animations need to be tweaked and fixed?
How about putting those modelers on the other areas that are important, like additional bunker interiors. Clothing, or the plethora of 100 backlog ships that are in various needs of updates, upgrades, revisions, etc.
Just one of MANY fking examples showing how incompetent and a$$ backwards this fking dev team is and their leadership.

Really hoping that the work done on BOIDs (spelling?) and the space cows will result in faster iteration of more creatures. The space cows look really good, but after a year and a half, I'm a little worried this might result in 1 or 2 mob types each year. When they really need to be adding 15 - 20 per year. I mean we have an entire star system with 4+ planets to fill up with interesting things, from small rats that scurry along the ground to large beast that live in underground caves...
So as always, here's to hoping.

I would definitely like to see cig switch to elite dangerous money making strategy. Less ship sales and more skins, guns, clothing and such. But umm make it where those items aren't lost first. NO new ships. Fix your backlog. " Gold standard " them all first
