- It's 2024 and EverQuest II will be celebrating it's 20th anniversary. So what does the game offer for a casual gamer who is starting out with a brand new account?
Find out with me as I attempt to put the Quest into EverQuest and aim to complete as many quests as possible with a single character.

Ah-HA! Finally realized I didn't know the toons actual name or server because I hadn't seen the first post! 🙄 I logged on yesterday! So happy happy! I just happened to log into AB! I'll buzz ya if we happen be to in-game simultaneously. 😎
The odd thing is that I'm not even sure why I picked this name, the last time I tried this challenge (seven years ago) I created a character called magnamundian (sadly now lost).

Yes, I noticed when I was searching for something random EQ2 related. I may take a look in the future although at the moment keeping up with this challenge and the upcoming launch of the Origins server is taking all of my spare time.
Can't wait for the new TLE! I love this
Should be another month and (if no news in the meanwhile) we should at least be able to see what the TLE will be like on the Beta server. There is going to be a unique twist (as there always is for each TLE) but Darkpaw are being very quiet on what that will be.
Just commenting to say this series looks fun. I plan on sitting down and watching this along side my current eq2 playtime.
Pretty much what I like to do when working. There doesn't appear to be as many people doing 'Lets Play' series anymore, either that or the RUclips algorithm prefers to thrown short videos my direction - doesn't help on an eight hour shift.
I wish there was a proper emulator server for EQ2 .. You should give Project Quarm a try
While I find things like Project 1999 fascinating from a technical standpoint I've never really gotten into original EverQuest.
@@magnamundian Good time to get into Project Quarm , i too was like that until 2 weeks ago that game got me hooked. Its the new server that everyone is playing on it got loads of ppl you should give it a try one of these days, but its slow and brutal yea
what quest tracker add on are you using?
Self created, it's a script that reads the game character log and looks for certain phrases that happen when a quest completes, unfortunately the game isn't very consistent in the way info is written to the log so sometimes I have to manually add quests.
These games really need quest trackers for completionists!
@@cykassol368 I'd settle for the quest names being consistently written to the game log. Unfortunately it only happens if you get coin from completion of the quest.

Enjoyed watching. Just started casual playing myself few days ago. I'm kinda lost on a few things but slowly grinding through.
Things will slot into place as you go along, or they won't and it doesn't matter anyway. The game has a lot of detail that doesn't really matter unless you are someone in the 1% that need to min-max everything for your raid guild.
@@magnamundian Currently just solo. There are some questions on what to do in the char development tab but im sure ill figure it out eventually.
Actually that's a reminder, I don't think I've looked in there for a while!
