- i have fun doing things like this lot lol if u see the speaker how i repair it with clear silicon lol and it sounds like new :-) message me and if i get a lot of request ill make a opening vid.
in a disposable world is great to see a crafty repair person, i personally have a few decks that have problems laying around, you have motivated me to seek out the repair, thanks for the vid, and basic description on how to disassemble head units!!!!!!! thumbs up

Hi, great vid. thanks for sharing. I have a pioneer FH-P800BT. When power is connected it turns on the n off intermittently. Can you help me troubleshoot it?
@ steveazusa the lens is dirty you have to take take it part and get a q-tip with a bit of rubbing alcohol roll it around and clean the lens . or you can by a cleaning CD i don't know where to buy one but i had one way back like in 05.. if you go the route of taking it a part look at the ribbon if it has one and look at the circuit board.
I have a Pioneer deh-P405OUB player, everything is working fine only problem is the display of the player is blacked out, please tell me what to do. Thanks

if i have an oldschool stereo a pioneer DEH-p9400mp and volume button works propersly but doesnt let me press on no buttons, i press eject disc nothing happens i press source button too change too aux nothing works, any ideas of what could be wrong? everything doesnt work just volume button and display about it
Got a Pioneer Deh-P80mp. Unit works great except that the motorized mechanism stopped working. I did some research and its a possibility the flexible circuit board may be the issue. Whats your starting price for repairs?

I've got the same model and I've gotta a question. It works perfectly, but it's not allowing me to even put a cd in. Theres no motorized sound coming from it at all. What do I need to check or what do you think the issue may be?
I can't figure out how to set the clock on my deh p6400. They all seem to be different. Thanks for any help you can give me.
Mine is the Deh- 7800mp try turning it off and press and hold function key then scroll through those settings for the time and date. Hope this helps.
hi Elvin Bryant i have a pioneer DEH-P8000R. My problem is when its ON and the music is working. whenever i encounter a bump in the road or any movement it would automatically put the system in Mute mode. how do i repair this problem?
i have a similar model deh-p6500 it stopped playing audio/sound it still makes sounds when pressing buttons but no music via cd or am/fm any idea where i can start testing
did you ever take the board out? if so check the board from left to right if you have did that already then look at that square like circuit that stands upright and look for any signs of burn marks or lifted circuits.
i have a deh -p2600 hooked up no sound all function but no sound hooked up wires via manual but no sound any ideas thanks great vid
sorry i took so long, but by the way it is on the mother board that this problem lies you have to thoroughly check every inch of it and you most likely to find it, if you want to do a lot of work resolder all the solder u see and i bet it will be fixed if not well i haven't encountered that yet so i don't know what to till you the but hope you fix it good luck and thanks for watching my vid
Maybe you can help me. Deh-150mp pioneer. Powers on at a low volume all channels are working. Turn the single knob for volume no sound. It's a 75 Pontiac so no blue wire for amplifier. Can you help please. Thank you

I have a pioneer deh p3500 and it turns on radio works except when i pop a cd on it like tries to read it then it resets and does it again making a beeping sound any ideas what could be wrong?
I'm having the same problem with a Pioneer DEH-X2750. I put a CD in, and it does nothing. No error messages and the CD doesn't play. Did you ever find out what causes it?
It could be the motor on the rail or the laser needs cleaning
as old video I have a question for you I have 2005 pioneer radio DEH-P3700MP and I'm not sure if its a fuse or the radio its self tht doesn't work please help me what should I do?
First I will try to rule out every simple possibility check the fuse probably look up the wire diagram and go over wire by wire then if it does not work if you have enough confidence open it up piece by piece and look at the circuit board and the capacitor

Not a problem bro well you can use any 12. volt batt like the car car batt run a NEG- and a POS+ wire from under the hood if you want. or if you have a spare one laying around or a computer power source if you want i could do a vid on that. and to be on the safer side put a lil fuse on the POS+ wire and you on your way so yea you to have to put it in and out the car lol

I used a stanly set of 6 and I used the #1 screw driver

I got used car, with pioneer cd player. Player works, but volume knob don't work. cant lower or get sound higher. Screen dont work sometimes. sometimes work on low light, sometimes changes color. It's older model, it have USB, so it's not too old. Do you have idea what can be problem? Thanks
what i would do for that is take apart everything and check everything and put it back together... cant tell unless i see it in person.

hello i have a sony CDX-GT120 and as i removed it the previos owner hadn't properly taped the connections and my red wire that was attached to the remote wire going to my amp touched ground and there was a spark the stereo shut off and will not turn on again i took apart my stereo and nothing appears to be wrong could u please give me some advice on what to check ? or if u could help me in any way i really do not have money to purchase another :(
Sorry have been really busy well it sounds like you might have blown a fuse that is sometimes where you connect the harness if not check the capacitor closes to the harness hook up on the circuit board you might want to replace it even if you did not see anything wrong with it, next did you take the whole board out if no do that and check very carefully at the board with a magnifying glass last but not less check the harness and see if any wires are burnt and replace them by properly soldering them and let me know what happens

You would have to check the pins behind the radio face and the pins on the radio itself and make sure that they are all making connection

I have a Pioneer DEH-1600UB, it plays radio, usb but I can't change the volume, when I turn to adjust volume the screen says ATT, which is related to mute mode or something as I have heard. I can go into the radio settings and change mute to -10db, -20db, and 'mute' which gives no sound at all. At every one of these mute modes I can't adjust the volume, wiring should be all correct, what could my problem be? I got the radio for free from a friend, maybe this is why he didn't want anything in return.
Even when you turn it off and put it back on it does this? I really never heard of this before but something is truly wrong with the face of the unit do you have the remote for it?
+Elvin Bryant There is no remote, maybe sold seperately but it does this every time I have the car's accessory mode on or the engine running and even when I manually 'turn off' the radio (the screen is still on but only shows the time) and back on. Also when I plug it out and plug it back in. I didn't get the cables/plugs for speakers and power with it so I had to buy used ones (in good condition) from a car parts store. They are supposed to be for this Pioneer radio except there is a wire for a handbrake signal but that is taped off and not connected to anything, maybe for a Pioneer radio with gps navigation but mine doesn't have that. There is also a 'mute' wire but it is also not used. But is the 'program' of the radio in the face or within the metal box? And could it be caused by a broken connection? Could it be fixed?
+Elvin Bryant I decided to get my radio out of the car and check everything, I have checked inside the face but could not find anything weird/burned/out of place. I am going to look inside the head unit, but I wanted to take a closer look at the wiring. What has caught my attention was a light green wire on the side of the head unit and it seems to be connected to the black/ground wire. Do you happen to know what the light green wire is for and why it is connected and taped together with the ground wire?
+MegaChristopher333 sorry I was sick but ok I'm all cop aught up now, week I hope you can see something inside of it but the green wire is not supposed to be connected to a black wire that wearied. Could that have been the problem
I asked around but I somehow knew that it was the light green wire. Either that or my radio was just broken. I disconnected the light green wire from the black and taped it off, I gave it a try and my radio now works perfectly. I guess that it was a mute wire for using a cell phone in the car... I literally searched for hours on the internet to find out what my problem was but now I know.
Volume button works but no sound wanted to know I could do to fix that sticker on the bottom is scatch all up so I can't give you the number to it if u can help me I id be thankful
if you ever had it or have it apart then check the board and capacitors and if your confident with opening things then open the faceplate just be careful with the nubs and take a look around to see if anything behind the knob is broken or out of place and let me know
I have it apart but I see no bubbles or broken soders but it smiles like something is burning thow and the back of the radio gets really hot
Mark Olivas check the heatsink back there see if it need thermal paste
Would that fix the sound
it wouldn't hurt to find out the headunit already don't work the way it use to so just get in there lol

DJ KUSHAL first check all the externals fuse, wires and face plate. If nothing is bad then it's the internals like the circuit board

I have a newer Pioneer radio its a DEH-X37110UI it was working just fine then all of the sudden the sound stopped and it is saying amp error but I dont have a amp hooked up to it i have tried to reset it checked all the wires and everything i could think of, what could possibly be wrong with it ?
Basically that is a known problem and if it's possible that you have warranty on that radio return it and get a new one if not and you know how to open a radio then open it up and look for any thing that looks wrong
