@insanebmxthomas it's hilarious when Traxxas patents concepts that have existed for decades. Waterproof boxes have been around forever, the same with lay down shock absorbers in motorsport.

We had one at the marina on loan from Yamaha Canada and warned anyone "don't go near the shore" and sure enough (wimmin) blasting away along the shore miles from the boat "hey mike, it no work" FFS I told you not to go by the shore...Pull the cover off impellor's blades are all gone.
Never had any interest in RC boats but this little thing does look like fun. Decent price too. I'll keep an eye on them and if they ever discount it a bit, I'd have to get one.

This a very well done video, The onboard views were excellent. It looks like a lot of summer fun. I think kids would have a great time with its but you will need lots of batteries for them.
Having used real Jet Skis and Jetpac seaboats, the issue you had with the thrust if it comes out of the water is something that affects the real stuff too. So much so at one point (some years ago) the Royal Navy wouldnt use Jetpack "Z" Drive seaboats in UK waters, instead opting for the slower prop versions. UK waters are rarely flat calm at sea and tend to be quite swelly.
I think John Cena’s body mass ratio has something to do with the way that thing handled, LOL! Maybe should find a figure with less bulk💪🏽🙌😝. Glad to see you getting into some fun budget stuff again ! 👍🏻🙌😎

I was literally looking up a rc jetski the other day to see if they exist, crazy how a video just gets uploaded of one of these lmao.
I ordered one of these mostly as a scale accessory for my tacoma build. I found look forward to getting it out though
5:25 self righting with a rider: you could overcome this by making sure your rider is hollow and buoyant. Maybe a closed cell foam figure?
I have two seadoos I run all the time they did a great job of making it look scale and handle like the real thing cheers

If you’re having a bash on boats I’d highly recommend the volantex racent vector sr48 brushless. Me and my boy have had hours of fun on this, and took it in the sea forgot about it got it out a year later and it cleaned up well and was working great still, even through my own stupidity

I would love to have a jet ski to pull around behind a crawler on a trailer, but I've had pretty bad experience with UDI's quality control before.
I got a boat before that was completely missing the trim tabs, and the wires from the battery were not soldered into the plug properly. It also didnt sit level in the water.
Cena was ripping 👌

Phil. Your complaint about JJRC's knockoff of a laser 917 having faux shocks.I ordered one because I like a challange😂 Anyway they threw a set of metal shocks in the package. At least they listen as apposed to other companies. Hats off to JJRC. Great lityle car and looked good for the price I paid. I see some street bashing in my future😅

As cool as this looks, I just can’t seem to get into the RC boats and watercraft’s. I recently bought a small RC boat. Forgot the manufacturer already, but it was a small boat and it was called “Shreddy”. It really was pretty cool. But unless the lake was as calm as a sheet of glass, it was not a lot of fun to drive. Even my buddy had a hard time with his traxxas spartan SR. And that boat is 3x the size of the shreddy I had. After about a week, I sold the boat to my buddy and used the $200 to buy gravix tires for my XRT. Still an awesome video, Phil. It does look awesome.

Tip for waterproofing your receiver, open it up, take the PCB out, cover the pins and spray with plastic 70 conformal coating.
i bought my son (9y.o.) an RC Boat (80cm long) but it has 2 brushed motors with propellers. Its fun but as everyone knows, the same speed gets slow pretty fast so i just order 2 jet drive units of my friend Mr. Ali Express xD not even 50€ and shipping was also free. best deal ever :) oki the quality will be bad, but i do not care as long as it works (at least 2-3runs^^) :)
If you can you should really try out the TyXin TX 768 ,or the other Jetboat they do, both are a lot of fun especially for the price.The brushed tyxin is as fast as the pretty much identical but brushless deerc ion our test and the deerc is almost triple the price of the brushed or at least double depending on where you shop.

No sweat on the calling it a boat front bro, over here they love to call the Jet ski's boats. They are really just as a sub is a boat but I hear you, it's not a boat, it's a jet ski! haha, nice vid, a change form the skate park and a car. That said, it wouldn't have bothered me at all had you lost old Johnny, he crapped on Ford with the GT and I am a car guy, still not happy with Mr Cena.
